This is my first build. So I kept everything AMD to hopefully have less problems with compatibly and one stop shopping for drivers. So far the graphics card has done everything I've had it do.It is a very good card for the money. I also waited a couple of months to give this review to make sure everything stayed working.

    Good "slightly above budget" card

XFX makes good stuff. I actually came into the store looking for an NVIDIA card, but the manufactures of the cards in stock weren't so good. I ended up checking out the ATI cards (located in a different section, some video cards were with PC components, some are with the video games...) and picked this one out. It's a hell of a step up from integrated graphics and not too crazy expensive. I'm sure the "serious" gamers would wouldn't even look at this card, but for a "budget, old-timey" gamer it's working great. (I just played through Fallout 3, and this card handles HAVOK just fine at 1080p!) It's not too noisy either.

I was shocked at this card for two reasons. The First being that i could price match it for $59.99 even though the card says only at best buy. The second reason was because this card is actually really good for being only $60-80. Played a few games at Ultra settings.

    Low Profile Computer setup issue.

I have a low profile computer so I needed to swap the one bracket on the back with the two low profile brackets they provided. Seemed simple but the two low profile brackets weren't both cut out appropriately. I had to cut an additional 1 cm of metal on the interior of the bracket so the USB port would be exposed on the back of the computer and lock into place so my lid could close. Sort of frustrating that their templates weren't appropriate from the factory. Not a horrible fix but without the right tools I would not have been able to get it to work. Otherwise I've had no problems.

I bought this to upgrade a Dell OptiPlex 755's card that couldn't handle 2 monitors well. I tried an Nvidia GT730 & the drivers a written too poorly to run any Nvidia card at this time. So I tired this & was relieved that it not only handles 2 monitors in 1080p well, it can run games! Not what I call a "gaming" card but can do the job with good results. I didn't buy it to game, however. This is an awesome upgrade to most stock desktop video & doesn't break the bank. Note the orientation & room in your case. This required modifications to fit in this application. Also be sure to use a 500w power supply or the Corsair TR2 430W or higher, also available as an upgrade or OEM replacement.

I was looking for a PCI replacement for my old 1GB card that just went bad after 5 years. Wasn't ready for a new PC, so I found this really affordable and well-performing card. My games are working very well - as expected. No problems installing this card. It is much smaller than my old card. I am happy with my purchase.

Purchased this a few days ago and was not sure about the compatibility to windows 10 ....well i have been out of the loop on graphic cards and the salesman reassured me that the drivers will work on windows 10 and it should not have any issues .. So the card installed with ease and you dont need any separate power plug .. NOTE ((This card looks upgraded from the older card)) Surprisingly windows installed a driver before i got the AMD software installed and it worked real well with the stock driver but i installed the AMD catylist anyway and the software is ROBUST. This card works very well and all i wanted it for was video and doing some photo editing and its awesome . It even loads web browser and pages faster and the photos come up quick and are crisp and clear!! Have not tried any games on it but i am sure it will play a moderate game ..

I took this back before I even took it out of the box, but I took it back simply to get a more high performance graphics card. I upgraded to the R7260X graphics and it works great, so if you're looking to spend a little less money and don't plan on doing extensive gaming or anything that would require a top end graphics card, i'm sure you would not be disappointed with this R7240.

i used this graphic card to hook up my brand new 65 inch tv to my computer. My computer only had vga and my tv only takes hdmi so something had to give lol. I was told by the customer associate that its easy to put in a graphics card so i figured I'd do it myself. It was pretty easy, i removed the casing to my desktop found out where the hardware had to go and pushed it in. This works pretty good, very quiet, no issues. Problem solved!

My built-in video adapter was old enough that Windows 10 didn't have integrated drivers for it. When I bought this adapter I was just looking for something inexpensive and that work with Windows 10. To my surprise this adapter while inexpensive turned out to be not only be an excellent value it delivers excellent video to the point my gamer son raves about it performance.

If you get it on sale, I purchased mine for sixty dollars, and don't have unreasonable expectations, it is a great card. Mine runs cool and quite, even with a slight over clock. Mine is an appreciable step up from the onboard graphics and will hold me over while I wait for a holiday deal in a top if the line card for my build. I wouldn't want to pay more than sixty though, even then, fifty sounds better.

I bought this video card the same day my old video card bit the dust. My "home grown" PC is 6 years old, so I just wanted a replacement card that was compatible with the PCI-E slot I had and perhaps offered a little more performance. The best feature of this card is its compatibility with the existing hardware/software that I had. My PC is set up to dual boot either Windows or Ubuntu Linux, and this card played well with both operating systems (minimal tweaking required). In sum, a good deal for the $80 I paid for it.
