Even though the card is a bit old it was a good upgrade over an old Radeon HD 7570. Surprisingly good performance. Very easy install. Had to go with this card as my power supply is only rated at 450w. Major performance improvement with Deus Ex, Star Craft 2 Legacy of the Void and Bioshock Infinite. Base system specs are AMD FX6200 six core and 10gb of ram. Running Windows 10 64 bit

    XFX Core Edition R7-240A-CLJR Radeon R7 240

This GPU is awesome! I bought this GPU as a video card replacement/upgrade for a constantly failing, aging EVGA GeForce 550 Ti installed in our family desktop PC. The XFX R7 240A Core Edition GPU was 70 dollars less than what I orginally paid for my 550 Ti. Although Windows 7 gave a graphics score of 7.3 for my old 550 Ti, and the R7 240 CE a 6.8, you can't really tell the difference between the two graphics and performance wise. In my personal opinion, both do the job well, and the only difference between the two were their size(dimensions), power supply requirements(where the R7 240 CE does not require a 6 pin power connection feed), and price. I play WoWS(World of Warships) on a Medium setting and get between 37 - 48 fps. My daughter plays WoW(World of Warcraft) on Good/Medium setting, and gets roughly the same thing. Overall, the XFX R7 240 CE is a perfect, inexpensive, best bang for buck replacement GPU. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a basic GPU, replacement GPU for moderate gaming, media, etc. Anything above the R7 240 would definitely be better, and well worth it. XFX/AMD did a great job with this GPU, and I am very pleased with its overall output, quality, and results!

I purchased this card to do an upgrade to an 8 year old computer with a 2.4ghz core2quad intel CPU and 8gb of internal memory. You may be asking why did I not go with a bigger GPU? Well that is because my computer only fits slim GPUs and well there are just not many slim models out there to choose from. So I went with this AMD R7 FX GPU and for what I am using it for don't need to look back. Yes understand there are better graphics cards out there and if you're building a computer I highly recommending doing your research first before purchasing. But if you need a slim GPU that is not going to brake the bank then take a look at this AMD R7 FX. It plays all the current games and your settings will be around the Hi Mids to Low Hi settings for the games, which means you are still pulling better graphics then a gaming console. Here is my video on this graphics card to help you more on what it looks like and how it fits. https://youtu.be/dE61ertfrOg

    R7 240 is ok

I took out the card when I got home and installed rather quickly, there were no issues except for a plastic sleeve over the cooler I had to remove. What I had problems with that I just gave up on was that it boasted multiple monitor support, and it didn't recognize more than one, hence only four stars.

Integrates Computer with TV with Excellence!

The XFX - Core Edition Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card integrates my tower PC excellently with my flat screen TV to play movies, games, and act as a monitor. It connects via HDMI. The one drawback is it does not transmit sound to the TV, so external speakers are still a necessity. However, for graphic clarity and speed, this card has done well with my 720p plasma TV with 600hz refresh rate.

I bought this card to support my 29" ultrawide monitor (2560x1080 native). The box stated it does 2560x1600 however after some troubleshooting and research I found that it only does this via the HDMI connection, and not on the DVI Dual Link connection. The DVI Dual Link connection only supports a max resolution of 1980x1080. Fortunately I was able to keep this card as my monitor has an HDMI connection and this card runs up to 2560 x 1600 over HDMI. Using the HDMI connection I now have a nice 2560 x 1080 display. Card has all the power I need for my needs (very little gaming).

Excellent Replacement For My Dell OEM Card

I bought this card as a replacement when my OEM card died. Excellent and cost effective choice. I am not a gamer. I spend most of my time on the internet and sending email. I also review sheet music. This card works well with all my applications, was easy to install and upgraded to Windows 10 flawlessly. I recommend it highly and without reservation.

Didn't fit acer slim x1420g, fan pins fell out

the fan on top sticks out of the card a pretty great deal. i had to cut a hole in my case to make it work. i am going to dremel it later, so i can tolerate the ugliness, for now. to make this card work, i had to disassemble the fan assembly that is used for drawing air from the back of the case. in the process, the fan power must be disconnected. i am strong, but i have a very light touch when needed. even using a credit card to try and gently pull the connector out of the socket resulted in the socket sliding off the pins. it was so stiff, trying to push it back down resulted in the pins pushing through the board. so, i soldered that back in. i am really not good at soldering, so soldering is a day wrecked for me. i got everything working beautifully, however. with the gaping intake at the top of my case, the videocard doesn't seem to get above 35c under load. plays everything quite well at 1080p, generally requiring just stepping down on shaders. all valve games like cs:go, l4d2, tf2 run maxed easily, of course. sc2 gets 50fps+ at 1080p with my athlon2 x4 with everything maxed, but shaders at medium. i am used to using nvidia cards and CSAA, so running everything with 8x MSAA was cool, though counterintuitive to me. all in all, a very decent card if you know your cpu will bottleneck you and you dont want to upgrade the PSU. if your mobo has the gpu slot on the outside edge, resulting in the gpu being somewhat snug against the top of the case, look elsewhere. this wont be the card for you.

I purchased this for a small desktop, one that requires a low profile graphics card. This is definitely a step up from what the system had prior, but don't expect to be able to turn all the features on in higher end games and get great results. I prefer NVidia based graphics, but it seems that no one makes a good, low profile NVidia card. The AMD variants almost always look better, at least on paper. Before any one tries to blast me on this, I said ON PAPER. This graphics card will work for most people and, for this system, works for me. If I were building a gaming desktop, no, I absolutely would NOT buy this card.

I am gonna make this short and sweet.... Plays battlefield 4 1920x1080 low preset and I get up to around 40 fps max and the game is easily playable. All other games I have are playable in 1920x1080...just amazing for the 69.99 I spent for this card on sale. Intel I-5 4670K 8 gigs gskill ram XFX Radeon r7 240 2 gig ddr 3 MSI Z87-G41 motherboard

This graphics card is a great low range card except for the low quality fan that attempts to cool this card. Today, it started making a fast scraping noise that was too annoying to ignore while using the computer. Time for a card with a better fan! Ugh!

Purchased this a few weeks ago as the Windows 10 upgrade required a new graphics card. The salesperson assured me that the drivers will work on windows 10 and it should not have any issues. Absolutely true. Also the card installed easily and a separate power plug was not needed.

Bought this card to replace an expired one. Went into the PCI express slot with quite a bit of trouble. Tried to install from the CD but ended up having to download the software off the internet to ge it to install. Finally working now after a late night.
