Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent performance and reasonable price of the Hard Swap Edition AMD Radeon RX 470 RS graphics card. Many appreciate the crisp visuals, the attractive white LED lighting on the fans, and the relatively quiet operation, even under load. Positive feedback also mentions the ease of installation and low power consumption. However, some customers note that the card's physical size is larger than anticipated.

This card was built extremely well. I bought this graphics card over the rx 480 version because I am not running vr games at the moment. It has superb features. The fans are replaceable. The white led is a nice touch. The fans are quite. I have ran this card In my desktop for about 14 straight hours of hardcore gaming and max detail setting and it never went over 50 degrees celcius. Definitely worth every penny I paid.

I don't have any complaints about this graphics card. The length of this graphics card was twice the size of the one that it replaced. I should've expected this because it has two heat sink fans compared to single on my old graphics card.

Great upgrade from a GeForce 740. Good price and runs Overwatch smooth on an overclocked Q6600.

Solidly built 1080p card. Fantastic warranty!

Pros -The warranty of this card is top notch. 3 years, industry leading warranty in US and Canada. Want to OC? No problem. Want to mod it? As long as it can be returned to factory original, no problem. If one of your fans die, which is the leading cause of RMA’s with GPUs, they’ll confirm it is broken and send you a new one! No need to ship your card to them just for the fan. -Hard Swap Fans. Want to add some extra LED lighting to your rig? They currently offer 3 color LED fans, red, blue and white. Additionally, the benefit of these hard swap fans that let you remove the fan without removing the GPU shroud lets you easily access the heat sink fins and clean out any dirt or debris that may get in there and cause higher temps. Just remove the fans via the 2 quick clips and blow out the dust! -The card runs beautifully at its default stock clock speeds. 1080p 60fps or higher for most modern games (Witcher 3 needs a few settings dropped to achieve 60 but that is expected) at max settings without a hitch as of mid-2016. For instance, I was hitting near 120fps constantly on Mad Max, a constant 60fps on Wolfenstein and Overwatch, though I had Vsync on for those games to limit tearing since I don’t have a Freesync monitor. Additionally, the stock 470 has recently been added to Oculus’ list of cards that are VR Ready! This means that this overclocked, premium 470 will perform higher than necessary for VR. -Not content with the stock settings? This card overclocked quite well for me. I was able to raise it to 1340 Mhz while keeping temps and fan speeds decently low, and minimal noise. As for the memory, unfortunately due to timing issues with the ram, overclocking the ram actually reduces the performance of the card so the RAM must be kept at the stock speeds, although could possibly undervolt the ram though I have yet to fiddle with that. You can also undervolt this card to perform at stock but with lower temps if you have a poor case airflow. Of course, YMMV as all GPUs overclocking and undervolting potential is a lottery. That being said, these cards are binned so they have above average performing GPUs. -The construction of the card is solid. Premium grade materials, and the look of the card is also top-notch. Cons - Unfortunately due to timing issues with the ram, overclocking the ram actually reduces the performance of the card so the RAM must be kept at the stock speeds. -A little more expensive than the other cards on the market. -XFX logo is not illuminated! I wish the extra LED had been kept in the 470 as in the 480. Other I upgraded to this card from an XFX HD 5770. That card still runs great and I specifically decided to stay with XFX due to the performance of that card and the fantastic customer service and loyalty I’ve witnessed from members of the XFX team on social media. I was torn between the 480 and the 470, but decided that since I was gaming at 1080p, the 470 was the card for me. The only thing that would make me happier with this card is higher clocked RAM. Finally, I feel the XFX warranty and premium materials used in the card is worth the slightly higher price point being asked. I highly recommend this card if you are looking at the $200 price point and you are interested in 1080p gaming.

I installed the RX470 in a PC bought on 2011 and it transformed the workstation into a gaming PC. I used to get only 15 FPS in war thunder using the onboard graphics and the quality was even set to low. With the RX470, I can get a consistent 60 FPS at Ultra High Quality. I've connected it to an LG 29 UM68 Ultra wide monitor and the quality is really good. Fans have a glowing white illumination when turned on and the fans turn-off when the GPU load is at minimum. Once I start playing games, the fans turn on to cool it down. It's cheaper than the RX480 but almost as powerful based on the specs. But if you have the extra cash and a much newer PC, i'd recommend the RX480. This card is well priced and has provided me with satisfaction.

Human Error on my part, Otherwise a Great GPU.

I purchased this GPU in October to try to bring a Phenom II X4 945 System back to life, and returned it after 6 days of it not working at all (I would Install the Drivers, click restart, and then get a Black Screen trying to boot to windows). Turns out, I made a HUGE Error. Apparently, my Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 Board's BIOS would not allow ANY GPU to work correctly with AMD Cool n' Quiet turned Off. When I bought a GTX 970 a few weeks later, I turned Cool n' Quiet On, and the GTX 970 ran fine (Though I was extremely limited in Overclocking the GPU and Could NOT overclock the CPU at ALL. Again, I believe the Motherboard is to blame). Therefore, the Motherboard was the reason why my system would not work, NOT the GPU. So learn from my mistake and tweak with your BIOS if you suspect any component is not functioning correctly. Overall, for those looking for a 1080p Gaming GPU that can play games at High-Ultra Settings, this GPU is perfect. It only requires a 6-pin PCI-E Connector, has a Cool white LED logo and Fans, and Performs very well while looking very stylish. It's unfortunate that I ended up wasting an additional $60 on a GTX 970 that I didn't need for my system, but in the end, you learn from your mistakes. - SoundFX09 -

I upgraded from a Radeon HD 7870 2 GB card. All I can say is this card is fast and AMD Radeon RX470 is less power hungry, a good thing. The hot swap fans are so cool. I swapped the white light fans to blue LED and it was so easy , it was ridiculous. I am running at 1920 x 1080 (native) and games are SO smooth. Everything about this card screams quality.

I purchased this card to replace the one that came with my Dell Desktop and went bad. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase this XFX card as an upgrade. The graphics card was much larger than I was expecting. The variable fans are extremely quite and the graphics are crystal clear. I have been using it for about a month and would recommend this card to others.

Had this card for about 6 months now - I am amazed because I am still running a rig with an original i7 with an old MOBO from 2009 and I can play Witcher 3 on max settings at 1920x1080 smooth as butter because this card is a beast for the price. I read the reviews for it and determined it would be better to spend more $$ to get a 4K card, but for 1080P I am thrilled with what I got.

As of October 2016 every game I've played has run at 60+ fps at 1080p on max settings (sometimes using a lower AA setting) Pros: only needs a 6 pin connector from PSU, machine I put it in was a Dell with 460W PSU Very capable at 1080p Not gigantic, fit in my tight for space case Cons: Not THAT much cheaper than RX 480 Can't turn off its very bright white lights

Finally bought this to play the new doom, and wow does it play amazing now with zero slowdown. The blinding white light is a little distracting in my windowed case, but nice otherwise. i do like that the fans are idle when the card is not in game mode, certainly helps with noise, and wen it is gaming, its barely noticeable. The styling is also a very nice feature as very few other cards look this nice. I've had it for about a week, and am enjoying it greatly so far. A great value!

I decided to upgrade my old computer's gpu but wasn't sure if it would be worth it. This card can handle very high or ultra settings at 1080p in most recent games. The cpu I'm using in this machine is an old i5 2320. I was worried about that being a bottleneck but it appears to hold up. Of course that will also depend on the game you're playing as well. The only thing is if you have the extra $80 or so, go ahead and get the 480, especially if you have a newer cpu that can keep up. The performance will be much better for just a bit more, but if you're fine with 1080p, this card should suit you well. The fans can get kind of loud under load. Not an issue if you use a headset.

I was bid build in a new Ryzen tower and needed a decent card. Although I was hesitant I read some good reviews on this one. Until I can afford Vega, this handles my COD needs just fine. Obviously not ultra setting, but none the less quite well.

For 1080p gaming this is the best card you can buy. It's the best performance per dollar on the market. Period. However if you plan on doing VR you will need more horsepower-save and get a 480 or wait until the prices drop.
