Easy setup, lower profile than previous models so it will fit it inconspicuous areas, great sound, great price.

This is a pretty impressive A/V amplifier--feature packed and very good sound quality. But configuring this took a full afternoon of wizardry and digging through manuals of all the connected components. Especially the older units that aren't exactly "network ready". Unless you really like technical nitty-gritty, spend the extra bucks and have it installed by a pro. Once you've got it all working and you have figured out how to make it dance, you will love this unit. It has features I didn't know I needed until discovering them! How good is that?

It's been a few years since I upgraded the receiver in our modest home system. This One appeared to be a great value especially at the sale price. All reviews concurred and I will add my thumbs up to the list. It was very easy to connect and all instructions we are clear and logical. Resulting performance was well beyond expectations and the Internet connectivity and Wi-Fi we're great upgrades that we are using daily.

Simple installation and directions from the manufacturer. Not disappointed in the quality of sound output and ease of using the equipment.

I bought this to replace an older (pre-HDMI) receiver which was to big to fit the new entertainment center my wife bought. Plenty of connections for all out audio/video components and with the YPAO mic getting the speakers set up correctly for where we sit was a snap. The only thing missing was a turntable input with a dedicated preamp. I have a quality vintage turntable with a moving magnet cartridge that doesn't have a built-in preamp and I have plenty of classic rock on vinyl, so I'll have to buy a dedicated preamp to continue to use my turntable.

This receiver has fantastic sound! I'm a music buff and this receiver has a great sound quality for listening to music! It is also great for TV and Movies. It was a little difficult to set up though. A quick hook up guide is included in the box. There is a DVD containing the complete users guide. With all of its features and functions it made it a bit difficult following the instructions when they are in that format.

I have tested this receiver with multiple speakers, different configurations, and different sources such as movies, documentaries, broadcast TV, and music CDs as much as Bluetooth and I'm happy to report that this receiver delivers fantastic sound quality. Unfortunately my only problem with it it's the fact that it comes only with 4 HDMI ports which sooner or later it will force you to buy a HDMI switch for any additional devices. Besides sound quality there is nothing much to brag about this receiver.

this is a great receiver, both avr and for music. i've auditioned and listened to five receivers in the last few months, and i thought my cambridge was tops until i tried this one. i still haven't fully tuned it to my own ears yet, but just very minimal playing around and it sounds amazing. crisp, clear, precise. it's more than i thought it would be! and a great price to match.

This unit puts out great sound and was very easy to set up with our TV.

First of all, this is the first receiver I've found for a reasonable price that is able to play to external Bluetooth speakers. That alone makes this receiver worth the price. It's also excellent for a turntable. There's not a bunch of weak audio settings that do nothing but muddy up your music. I haven't gotten any MusicCast speakers yet, but I fully intended to do so. This is a great alternative to the much more expensive Sonos system.

AWESOME SOUND QUALITY, EASY TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO WORK GREAT VALUE

Thought about getting another receiver but this was a floor model special. Was skeptic if it was what I was looking for but the associate said it was a really nice receiver for the price. Have hooked it up and movies/games/music sound awesome. Have not explored all the sound fields yet but from what I hear so far I'm happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a new a/v receiver and hadn't done very much research. After checking this Yamaha unit out in the store, I found it had all the features and necessary ports I wanted. The sound quality, Wi-Fi capabilities, flexible programming, display and easy remote control functions have all confirmed that this was an exceptional purchase.

It is an easy receiver to use and set up. I love the way it sounds and the ease of use!!
