Upgraded this from the pervious version to have 4K. I noticed by passing my video through this according to the Xbox one s not all 4K features are supported. Straight to the tv from the Xbox one s they are. Anyway no decrease in quality made me keep it. Bluetoooth on the unit is good but I miss the USB in the front from the older unit.

This receiver is a great value and I purchased it on sale. With everything going to 4K and having a 2014 Samsung 4K TV with only 1 2.2 connection, it made it difficult with a new 4K Blu-ray player and a 4K Roku having to share a port. Now with this receiver, makes switching a breeze and the sound is pretty sweet. Did I mention it was a great Value again???

This receiver is paired with the same speakers as I had hooked to a pioneer receiver that stopped working. It auto senses and list the devices that are hooked to it ps4 ,xbox one, cable box are all clearly displayed on the front screen. The sound is amazing. It does not do lan/wireless but again the sound schemes are AMAZING!!

Currently using for home theater. Not running rear speakers at the moment but am very happy with the clean sound it provides. More than enough power for my needs, although I do have a powered sub as well. Was actually looking at another unit but was sold on the quality of the brand and Bluetooth was a bonus.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The sound quality is great and it was easy to hook up and use. The sound options are quite flexible and make it easy to match the sound with the media source. I would recommend this unit. It is not state of the art, but, at the price, it is a very good buy.

I really needed a upgrade for my receiver as my old one had no blue tooth capabilities and was only 400 Watts. When I bought a 5 set of Polk Audio speakers.... I needed a new receiver.
The Yamaha - 700W 5.1-Ch 4K is a great receiver for the price and makes my new speaker set sound great.

Couple of years ago purchased a Pioneer 5.1 receiver that had sub-par surround sound and the HDMI ports quit working, and you can't find anyone to service it. So gave up on it and purchased the Yamaha and could not be happier. Superior surround sound, easy set up, and excellent reliability.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a receiver at such a reasonable price that would accommodate our older speakers and still have such updated features. We intend to use this for an outdoor theater so we actually haven't tried it out due to 3 feet of snow, or we probably would have given it 5 stars for sure.

Mostly just wanted a receiver to add 5.1 surround sound to my new 4K TV. Relatively easy to set up. Works very well with my Samsung Series 8 TV through the ARC.. Don't need Wi-Fi as it's already on the TV and Blu-ray player. Very happy with my purchase.

We recently found ourselves having to buy a new TV and found one for a low price. We had tried a Bose sound bar with It, but weren't happy with the limitations of a sound bar as we had always wired our TV into our stereo speakers. However, we had wires all over the place and inconsistent sound due to ancient equipment. The guy from the Geek squad cleaned up all the wires and got everything hooked up properly and we love it! We are now able to use our older speakers and subwoofer! We haven't even explored everything it can do yet, but we're happy with our purchase and happy that we paid extra to have the Geek Squad install it. He had everything done in a very short period of time. It all looks perfect inside our entertainment center and turns our very inexpensive TV into a theater experience. I can't believe we're getting this type of sound for such a low price.

I got this to replace an old Yamaha receiver that I had for over 10 years. Great low price and easy to use. I connected my cable box, Blu-ray and TV to this receiver using only HDMI cables, no more adding codes to the remote to turn on and off my devices.

I was actually considering a Marantz receiver when I noticed this Yamaha and read some of the reviews. I'll agree with a lot of reviewers that say this receiver is really good for the cost. I've had Yamaha products over several years that always sounded pretty good and I never had any problems with them. So I ended up buying this one. Yeah it's considered low end and it's missing a couple of features that higher priced models have but it wasn't worth another 300 to 1000 dollars to me to have one of the high end receivers. If you want really good sound with plenty of power and most of the features you're probably considering, this is your receiver. If money is no problem for you go for the nuanced sound offered by receivers on the high end. You won't beat this Yamaha for honest sound and dependability. And for a couple hundred bucks how can you go wrong?
