Great new stereo, upgraded for the HDMI ports and it is easy to use and set up.

Excellent receiver. I upgraded primarily because I needed more HDMI inputs, and I'm glad I did. I've always owned Yamaha receivers. They're reliable, well priced, and easy to set up.

I like the yamaha reciever. It has a lot of features for the money. Sound quality is excellent. 4 stars because I had to return the first one. I had sound but the picture wouldn't work coming out of the arc terminal.

My old receiver was about 10 years old and it had some great features and the sound was good. I upgraded to this one and WOW what a difference. It has some great features and the sound is excellent. The remote is easy to use and I really like the on screen TV features when connected.

Good value for power....probably has a lot of redundant features to other sources not needed...works really well hooked up to video components....I am happy with this purchase.

This is an outstanding buy. This receiver is an outstanding piece of equipment. The power output is completely clean on my Paradigm Monitor 7's. I also love that the HDMI inputs label themselves based on the equipment that is plugged into them. Very nice touch.

Great sound quality good looking cabinet,pushes my Klipsch speakers flawlessly,awesome tuner,could use a better am/fm antenna.

It has been everything I needed and more. However it took a lot of reading of the manual and a few phone calls to the Yamaha support team before I realized all it can do. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't need more than a 5.1 speaker system.

I purchased this receiver and purchases bose 301 speakers for front channels. I purchased bose201 speakers for rear along with bose 161 and sony satalite speakers. And i have a sony subwoofer. My neighbors thought a band was playing at my house . Sounds great for music or movies. I feel like if i am at the movies watching my tv. Love the outcome of speakers and yamaha receiver

My last receiver was only 5 years old, but the features on this unit pushed me over the edge. We live in a very low lying area so FM reception is spotty at best the bluetooth option and the auto equalization features were the selling points

I did not searched for the top system I already have the cables and the speakers it was time to replace the old Yamaha with a new one that has hdmi wifi 3d pass trough and supports 4kuhd

I purchased this receiver to replace the one that came with a "system-in-a-box" and also to combine two systems (a dedicated stereo system for music and the entertainment system hooked to my television) into one combined music / entertainment system. The receiver had all the required inputs / outputs that I needed. It has plenty of power when used as a music only system to drive a set of vintage Pioneer HPM-900 front speakers, a Klipsch sub and surrounds. When watching movies, the effects are excellent. All-in-all, a solid performing receiver.

I gave it only 4 stars because 1) directions are on a CD and make it difficult to set up unless you have a computer close by. Would prefer written directions 2) Music Cast is great once set up but it is difficult to do so with the directions you receive which are paltry. I am pretty tech savvy but found it difficult and it took me weeks to figure out how to set up everything.

This is my 3rd Yamaha Receiver over the years, they just keep getting better...the DSP, customizable inputs, on-screen menu and auto setup are the best. For the money, you'd be hard pressed to find a better receiver in this range.

I needed a new amp for my home theater. The Yamaha has always been my first choice. My last Yamaha amp lasted 20 years and it was time to be replaced. I looked at the choices and Yamaha had the best price for whatt was available.

This receiver was easy to connect and puts out great sound. Does everything I want it to do at an affordable price.

I just wanted a basic 5.1 surround sound system, and overbought features based on several independent ratings. Quick, easy setup (Note: I've done this before) Very happy with the unit. Took a chance... the first one I brought home went up in smoke (literally) when I first turned it on. Exchanged it and so far, this one is a non-smoker. The 3 friends who heard it are going out to buy it. It's slowly drawing me in to start playing with the extra wireless features and remote bluetooth speakers.

This is a fantastic unit. I purchased it to replace a none HDMI unit. It was about time to upgrade. It was easy to set up and it sounds great. The only downfall is the instructions. The quick set-up guide is not great and the CD manual is horrible. If you know how to set something like this up, you're good to go but I wouldn't recommend it as a gift to your parents or someone that doesn't have at least an intermediate level of understanding home theater systems.

My new receiver complemented my home theater and has enhanced my home entertainment. The sound is superb. I now have true surround sound with a great bass. My friends are going to want to watch movies at my house.

Yamaha is known for their quality products and this audio receiver clearly reflects that it is an excellent budget friendly AV receiver very well built and the sound quality is outstanding, it comes built in with Blutooth and it is Network ready which is a great feature for an entry level AV receiver. it has nice display with easy to read text and you can also use the on screen menu to setup you receiver. I am very happy with this AV receiver from Yamaha.
