I didn't know I would end up purchasing this receiver. I had done research for receivers in this price range but had not considered a Yamaha. The Best Buy sales rep was very enthusiastic about this unit which normally doesn't compel me to purchase, but after reading the specs and online reviews I thought what the heck–I can always return it. Nope. This is a keeper. It sounds great and there was no fuss to configuring wireless. I love the Airplay feature which I think is more network friendly than bluetooth.

Love everything. Beats my older Denon. Only one complaint as my Xfinity remote does not work 100%. Some oddity with the codes

We were able to set this up quickly and it worked perfectly from the start. I would highly recommend this receiver to anyone.

i love my receiver i do karaoke and the sound is better then any bar i go to.

Easy setup, easy link up to pandora and spotify, this receiver was built to simplify a home video/audio experience.

Great upgrade from my old Technics Receiver and has plenty of inputs for a complete home entertainment experience.

Set up was not too difficult for this older person. My only gripe is having to download and print out the lengthy manual. Would have preferred if Yamaha included a hard copy. Otherwise, the receiver works very well for my needs and very happy with the quality. I haven't tried all the bells and whistles yet.

Connected cable, Blu-ray, VHS, LG TV and all works as expected. Sound is excellent with older AIWA speakers. WIFI has not proven to be useful yet.

Right price, network is the best, I don't need anything else, plus got all the power to slam my energy speakers.

This is an upgrade to what we had. Easy to use and has wifi to update its software. 4k pass through is awesome!

We bought a new head / receiver as our old one wouldn't accommodate our Apple TV purchase. This works great.

I checked several tech review sites before my purchase and they gave great ratings for this receiver in this price range. Personally, I agree that this is one of the best receiver for a 5.1 set up in terms of features, sound, ease of use, iOS connectivity. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Built a media room. This receiver was easy to set up and has enough power to give great sound to my 5 surround sound speakers, sub woofer and DVD player. Even my 18 yo high school daughter helped me set it up. But she is really good with computers to begin with. Works great for the price.

All features work and work great. Knowing it is a upper low level receiver all my expectations were met so I was a very happy camper.

Nice clear sound quality. Good, distinct channel separation. Automatic tuning with the included microphone works well however I still set the levels and distances manually. If you're running a powered sub, the level it sets it at when done automatically may be too low to trip the sub's auto turn-on circuitry to power it on. Not a problem with the receiver itself, it's just something that's known to happen on different setups occasionally. If this happens, simply go into the "level setting" menu, and raise the level to at least 0.0 and tweak the sub's output accordingly. If you're looking for a receiver with good sound, nice "usable" options, and one that's not overly expensive this, or the newer model which replaces it should fit the bill nicely for you.

This receiver is great. Not only can you use HDMI but fiber optic and rca connections

Works excellent especially with the iPhone app. Good soundingand plenty of HDMI inputs.

This receiver has some great HDMI connections which makes hooking up all my components easy. Sounds great easy to use

System documentation was a bit unusual to follow, but the system itself is basically intuitive to use and set up.

This is a great stereo I would recommend it to every one. It has great sound.
