Upgraded a very old 5.1 receiver to this new Yamaha. Every piece of Yamaha equipment I have owned (musical and PA sound system) is well designed, engineered and rock solid. This receiver is no exception. It was a breeze to set up. Use the provided microphone to have the receiver adjust your 5.1 system. Just follow the directions in the online manual or the provided CD. This is pretty much it, everything else is intuitive and easy to program. I decided to upgrade my DVD player to hdmi at the same time, just to simplify things. Use hdmi connectors and most of the work is done for you. Sounds fantastic! I should have upgraded sooner. Very pleased with this purchase,

It's fairly simple to use, and just love the blue tooth and wifi features. Sounds great through our Bose surround sound speakers too.

Great sound and quality. The audio quality is outstanding. The digital radio, Pandora, Spotify are amazing. Also the Bluetooth, AirPlay and MusicCast system work perfectly.

The Yamaha 5.1 receiver serves my needs for both a new Sony 4k 55" TV and music. Simple set up to get started. Lots of features which I will get to in due time. All and all, a great buy and a good solution for my needs.

You'll need to connect this device to your tv to get all the features. On-screen menu gives access to all the features (equalizer, room setup, etc) Nice bright display and programmable buttons on remote are great features. HDCP is supported - very important for 4K.

This receiver works great with my Advent and Infinity floor speakers. Whether I am listening to music or TV I hear the smallest of sounds. For the money it is amazing.

I have had my Yamaha receiver for about a week now and it works really good. It's an easy to install plug and play unit with good easy to follow instructions and sounds really good for my needs.

I used to have Pioneer receiver but it could not handle 3D pass through. So I decided to try out this Yamaha receiver. Well, it did not disappoint me. It has the same sound power as my old Pioneer and its form factor is a lot smaller and weighs lighter.

It is very hard to find a system that had Bluetooth and multiple speaker hook ups! Great quality, easy to set up AND USE!

This is an excellent receiver! I was lucky and was able to get an open box deal on it. I have 4 Polk monitor 70 ii speakers hooked up with a Polk center channel and subwoofer. I also have the receiver hardwired to my network. I really like the app that Yamaha has to tie in to the receiver. After getting everything tuned just right, my setup sounds really nice. I would highly recommend this receiver. I previously owned a Yamaha receiver and never had any issues with it for the several years I had it.
