Wanted a cheap replacement subwoofer for a different brand that failed in less than a year. This one was easy to set up and calibrate with my system. Hoping it lasts long time.

Solid subwoofer for home theater system. Ideal for small to medium sized room.

I replaced an older JBL subwoofer with this yamaha. The JBL was big and shook the picture frames on the wall, way too much for my family room. The 8 inch yamaha is just right for most living rooms. The description says silver but it is black as in the picture. It has a volume control so when my wife says she gets headaches you can turn it down etc. It also comes with a connector cable to the receiver.

Easy setup and good thump to make your music and movies come to life.

sound quality and build quality are great but note it does not have a separate crossover control. i use it with a yamaha receiver that has both a subwoofer level control and crossover so it's a non issue for me but this may be a consideration for you if trying to use this with a soundbar that has a sub output but not a crossover control.

We wanted to enhance the Vizio soundbar we had ( with built-in subwoofer ) without spending a lot of money. We use it with a TV whose sound became distorted and this so far has worked great.

I purchased some Bose 160 series speakers for my TV/ living room. In need of more bass, I picked this up...and am very pleased. I have yet to set the bass past 75%, and it's normally at 50%. Movies and music sound fantastic - whether I'm in the mood for light bass or ground shaking excitement.

This is a second,rear sub in a 7.2 configuration. It adds the perfect amount of low fill.

My system had an subwoofer that was not powered. With the new subwoofer the sound improved dramatically. Liked the adjustable level control on the unit, it helped tuning it to the room

Was looking for a budget priced subwoofer so tried this Yamaha. Always happy with the quality of Yamaha speakers and amps and this was no exception. Really surprised at how well it performs for such a small unit and footprint. Really adds to the experience of playing DVD and Blue Ray movies.

I've wanted a subwoofer for a very long time, but wanted the best product for the best price. Well, I found it! Can't beat the price, and finally have the deep, booming bass my movies were missing. Fits in nicely with my pre-existing sound bar and stereo.

I ended up getting two of these subs. I'm too old to really crank them up often but when I do, my sisters downstairs say it is loud. The dog thinks it's thunder and hides. Really adds depth to movies and ball games. I'm very glad I purchased these.

Purchased subwoofer to go with Denon receiver in motor home. Limited on space, this speaker filled the need very well. Nice rich base compared to previous sub woofer.

This wasn't my first pick but it works great for what I wanted. My new home theater speakers needed a little bit of a boost in the sub department. This did the trick without breaking the budget.

I have the Boston Acoustics 5.1 system in my living room. The powered subwoofer stopped powering and BA was NO HELP. I could have spent over $200 just for the part. Got this instead and it's awesome. Works great.

Using it in a small apartment bedroom and it is more than plenty off thump for my music and movies. Very cheap too and comes with a long RCA subwoofer cable too in the box that my more expensive subs did not.
