This is a great AV Home entertainment receiver. One of the best I have owned and I have had several other brand names. Ton's of connectivity and has a great sound. A few very minor complaints, I do wish the remote was a little more modern, and I wish they can included a printed manual. Sometimes the on-line manual is just a tad cumbersome when working with setup and some options, but then at times the on-line manual has benefits as well. All in all a very nice sounding Receiver and powerful, it is a winner!

I've been a Yamaha AV receiver owner for around five years, and the latest RX 2060 is worth it. I upgraded from a Yamaha 671 to the 2060 for the Ultra HD capability. The one thing about the RX 2060 is the total power increase, and how much better it sounds, granted I'm running my speakers at 6ohm vs the 8ohm of the 671. If you are going to buy, then get the features you want. I wanted the HD capability, the 9.1 speaker layout, and Yamaha's quality. As a side note I'm a Sony guy on everything but AV receivers as I had one go bad, and it scared me away from Sony AV products. Yamaha has high quality and the product is awesome.

Wow! If your looking for a loaded up receiver this is it. Dtsx, Dolby Atmos, iPad/ iPhone app is amazing and one of the main reasons I purchased. The functionality is great. Open the app, power on the receiver, make any tweaks for what your watching. Powered zones. Build quality seems second to none. A bit pricy but you get what you pay for and with updates available via network it does get any easier. Highly recommended.

Great receiver, but it better be for the price, right? I replaced my Yamaha RX-A3020 that got fried from lightning earlier in the season. This is a step down from that, but still quite good. My setup: 7.2 (subs are in front/back setup) in main room, 1 hdmi to another zone, 2 speakers in another room, 2 speakers outside. All speakers in all zones, including outside, are Polk Audio. Subs are 1 sony and 1 klipsch. Exactly like the rx-a3020, the receiver and all zones can be controlled via the remote or the Yamaha app. The app is very nice, especially when outside and controlling the device without having to go back inside. This receiver, unlike the rx-a3020 has a wireless antenna. That setup was nice and easy. Another nice feature that this has that the old one didn't -- you can send digital audio to other zones. Previously, with Chromecast Audio, I could only send L/R RCA to other zones. I am now able to use the digital audio out on Chromecast Audio for extra performance in the other zones. What this doesn't have that is a little annoying is a usb port on the back. Has one on the front under the flap, but not the back. As a result, I am using another power receptacle for the Chromecast's power adapter. Overall, though, the minor inconvenience of the lack of rear usb is not enough to deduct stars from my review. Very pleased with the performance. Whole house shakes during music and movies, what else is there to need?

I bought this to upgrade my older Sony receiver. This is one of the best receivers I ever owned. I went from 5.1 to 9.2 surround sound. Love all the different choices that receiver has. Love the app too. Video looks great on my 4k Samsung TV. Able view 3d movies with this receiver. I can have my whole house shake with the 2 subs I have like a movie theater! The sound it delivers is amazing, Love it!

Receiver had excellent feature set. 4K is beautiful and fantastic Dolby Atmos sound. Easy to setup and used YPAO to get perfect speaker setup for my 5.1.2 setup. Highly recommend.

Love the power and having a four zones is amazing, also loocks elegant , im still working on how to used but so far i love it

I was literally blown away with the separation of the channels. The advanced circuitry is mind blowing. Even older sources are brought to life with this receiver. I had an older Yamaha that I was very happy with and this continues that experience. Don't think I will ever get anything but Yamaha.

This receiver handles everything we throw at it. The sound and music reproduction is outstanding, and the sound correction works miracles

We had a Yamaha receiver, and will always have Yamaha. This has many new upgrades from our last model and we are extremely pleased with it.

I was a Denon fan for years and I am so glad we made the switch to Yamaha. Easy setup and great customer service support. This work great with Atmos setup.

The technology in this latest version is far superior to previous models and comparable brands. Combine this with Sony 4K television, and you have a system that rivals the best movie theaters and clubs, and I am so not kidding.

Love this receiver! It's my second Yamaha and I am very happy with all the features. It takes some time to get into all the programming and I had to call Yamaha about the Muscicast app, but they were very helpful. Highly recommend!

i upgraded to this avr for the dolby atmos feature. sounds and looks awesome.

Overheats. Salesman said when Yamaha receivers overheat the solder joints come apart. Best Buy was great though in the returning of the two bad receivers. Salesman said lots of Yamaha receivers are returned. But he only said this when I was returning them. He should have said this when I was considering the purchase
