Yamaha needs to address (ARC) issues on their AVRs

This is an amazing receiver that does everything well, sadly with the exception of an Audio Return Channel (ARC) issue. If you plan to use a Smart TV (e.g. LG OLED with webOS 3.0) to stream (e.g. Netflix, etc.) using HDMI (ARC) to direct the sound from the TV to the AVR "in Dolby Digital (DD)", Yamaha receivers (across their line) will have intermediate sound dropouts. These are .5 to 1 second dropouts, which occur more frequently in some programs than others, and always occur on the same musical or voice note/track (i.e. can be replicated over and over). Unfortunately these audio sound dropouts completely ruin an experience such as "watching DareDevil in Dolby Vision on an LG OLED". The sound dropouts do not occur if the TV is set to Pulse Code Modulation (PCM), but then of course you lose the dedicated surround sound, so that drastically takes away from the user experience. I have tested DD over (ARC) on both Sony and Marantz AVRs and there is no issue. I have also tested this on several other Yamaha models and replicated the issue without fail on those as well, so this specifically is a "Yamaha AVR" issue. I have tried numerous times to address this directly with Yamaha and they state "this is not a known issue", so as the new models have released RX-A2040; 50; 60; and so on, the issue continues. I can no longer recommend Yamaha AVRs for this ever so popular growing use case.
