Yamaha RX-1080. Bought this as an open box, didn’t have any accessories with and Yamaha was kind enough to send them to me. I love using this for streaming music. The Yamaha MusicCast App is great and offers lots of options. No regrets so far. Yamaha really made powerful useful amp. The newer version of this is a RX-A4A. I like this one better!

Powerful Receiver with all the bells and whistles! The best part if the app that allows you to control the receiver from your phone!

I purchased an Samsung 82" 4K TV for my home theatre from BB several months ago, so I recently purchased this receiver to replace my 8 year-old Yamaha RX-A1000. My existing receiver worked fine, but was not 4K. This receiver has very similar features, but offers a lot more, such as Surround-AI technology, Bluetooth, Dolby Atmos and connectivity to streaming services. This set up was easy with the on-screen display and after utilizing the YPAO microphone to adjust my surround sound speakers, the sound was awesome.

After having a Fisher Studio Standard receiver for 25 years, we splurged and purchased the Yamaha Aventage ultra HD home theater receiver on the recommendation of a savvy nephew. He was right, it covers all our needs as a home theater system and music player. We had surround sound installed, and it's like being in a concert hall. What I particularly liked was that this receiver has Yamaha's MusicCast capability, so you can send music to it from a mobile device via bluetooth, as well as receive signal from it to Bluetooth headphones or earbuds. i like to watch TV while my partner is asleep, and on our old system I had to use a Bluetooth transmitter from our old TV. This eliminates that. This receiver is not cheap, but it is in the midrange, I think we spent about $600.00, and it was worth it.

This reciever has it all. I haven't used the music cast feature yet, but for movie watching and music it is very seamless. Easy to use for all kinds of users

We really love this receiver. It powers the new Klipsch speakers just right. This is our third Yamaha receiver in 30 years. They last forever.

Was looking for the ability to power 5.1 inside, and 2 outdoor speakers, in sync OR independently, WITH audio via HDMI ARC cable from TV (no optical in wall), and this does the trick. Able to sync with TV audio (think watching sports and grilling), or - watching TV inside with music outside. Yamaha app much much better than Marantz (bought the marantz first and returned it, very klunky apps) HDMI ARC is awesome, can control stereo volume via my Samsung Q70R's remote with all my components buried in the closet. for more control, grab the phone and fire up the AVR app. Tested apps with Iphone and Android and works well with both. Very pleased so far, nice job Yamaha!

I used this unit as a pre/pro with separate amp at first. Sounded great. I am now using as a receiver and still sounds great. I find the programming to be a bit complicated.

Great Yamaha receiver. Has multiple connections and able to use two zone setups. I have an inter home theater setup for zone 1 or main and two external speakers for the backyard for entertainment and get togethers. I added b & w speakers foe internal and dual for outdoors and they handle the sound great. Easy to navigate and adjust for extended setups.

To many features to list them all. Easy to hook everything up to and still room for more then I switch to Dolby Atmos

Better quality than anticipated. Appreciate the ease of Bluetooth connect ability.

I am not disappointed with my new Yamaha receiver! I think the price was definitely worth the upgrade. No complaints so far!

This is an upgrade to my previous Yamaha 1050 to for Dolby Vision HDR. Great sound, build and features.

I love the ability to use MusicCast to play audio in a second room, from either the main audio or a separate audio source.

It is a really impressive piece of AV equipment. Only complaint is it didn't come with a full instruction manual which is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5

This Yamaha RX-A 1080 is a fantastic value for a awesome higher end AV receiver. It provides enough clean power for speakers and towers. The use and control with the AV Controller app on my phone great definitely recommend will not disappoint.

If you want outstanding home theater look no further than Yamaha. This receiver gives top notch performance!

I upgraded from rx860 and this one with UHDR make pictures outstanding. I love the easy set up
