Best Buy set up all my toys for me, but I could have done it myself, and I am no technical wiz, but I was worried I would need to me.

This amp sounds great and is very easy to use. The room setup was really easy to do using the supplied Microphone. The unit has 4 buttons on the front of the unit. With one push of the button the unit powers on and sets itself up for the application. I connected Amazon Alexa using blue tooth. So easy just push one button on the front of the unit or use my cell phone and just talk to Alexa. Very nice.

Got this in a package with the definitive technology speakers. Very good options that come along with the receiver. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Great system for the price. Used primarily for home theater purposes. True audiophile would want to consider a speaker upgrade. Def Tech has great power but loses something on the high end.

Well I couldn't be happier with my Yamaha Receiver. It pairs great with my Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System.

this reciever is slate solid it punches any room and offers sub room simultaneous broadcast. if u r into sound this trike is nice

This is our first venture into Yamaha home stereo equipment. The old Onyko was just getting too hot every time we used it and I was ready to upgrade. I visited the Magnolia section of our local BB and listened to several other brands, then read the reviews here - decided on this unit. To my surprise, it was on sale and marked down on checkout. Even better. The setup was pretty simple - we just finished a new room in the basement, had new wiring to connect and new Bowers-Wilkens 685 S2 speakers as well. The network features of this unit were one of the key selling points as well as all the HDMI inputs. After it was all connected, we used the mic to setup the speakers. Could not have been simpler or faster. We have watched a few movies, listened to some CD's and also got the turntable connected to really get back into the audio world again. Overall we are very pleased with the sound, the menu choices, the setup - it just works and the sale price made this a no brainer of a choice.

This is a replacement of my 25+ year old Yamaha receiver. The old receiver was great and so is this one.

the model I wanted was out of stock so I got the next model down it is very good I just wish I had the more powerful amp

I was a little skeptical at first since we have a complete surround sound with active sub. However, after several weeks of use I can honestly say that this one gets the job done VERY well. We purchased this with a Sony 70" 3-D / 4-K TV. This was just what we needed to update the system.

There's a reason Yamaha continues to be recognized a large a major competitor in audio components. This product is just another example of great craftsmanship and reliability. Menus are easy, making setup simple. You don't have to be an audiophile to get it going, but your audiophile buddies will appreciate your purchase when they hear it.

I got this receiver when I bundled with the Def tech pro cinema 600 speakers. The sound was good but the receiver kept randomly cutting out the sound. I swapped it with the Denon receiver that was also an option for the bundle and not only does it sound a lot better bit it doesn't cut out like the Yamaha.

Got this to replace an aging reciever that was not working consistently. Overall I'm happy with it but seems under powered. I got talked into this one over a similarly priced and featured Denon which came packaged with difinitive technology surround sound speakers. Be prepared to use banana connectors because the reciever is very picky about the speaker connection. If not connected perfectly you will never be able to use the calibration mic or listen at higher volume.

This yamaha has it all with the Bluetooth and wifi setup. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this as an upgrade to the 473 model I had. I couldn't be happier with it. It provides more than enough power for my home theater and sounds great.

Power and flexibility and great customer service. Can't go wrong with this one.

Husband purchased to go with newer tv. Seems to be just what we needed.
