The Yamaha RX-A1020 has plenty of power to run all speakers, the dsp's sound great with movies and music. easy to learn settings through remote. microphone setup for speakers does a really good job setting levels. just an all around good reciever.

Just fantastic sound quality and features at this price point. The 2 HDMI outputs in particular are a great feature. Best of all is the iPad app which is great, and makes control of many features much easier. I would prefer a remote which was a little easier to navigate, with a few buttons that are too small but this is a minor issue when the core feature of sound quality is so good.

This is a solid receiver. It's easy to set up, has a respectable feature set and sound quality is good for the money. Too early to tell about reliability.

Set it up with 3D surround sound TV, DVR and DISH with surround sound speakers and it sounds like a movie theatre. Pushes a great deal of true sound. Would buy it again!

This met my expectation for something better than a consumer grade receiver. I had compared this to the Denon AVR3313CI and Pioneer SC-63 but did not need their bells and whistles. I would recommend getting the firmware updated (it downloads it automatically if you have internet). A few times switching between cable, blue ray, tv depending on what I did and the power on sequence of the peripherals the blue ray sound would not come out. turn off and on to reset and fix.

This amp was purchased to replace a 1996 vintage Yamaha DSP 3090 unit. The new amp weighs about 10 pounds less than the old one which my glass shelf appreciates. It decodes all the newest movie sound programs which was the main reason I made the upgrade in the first place. I looked at several high end amps before deciding on this one and so far I am very happy with my selection.

Wow- what a great piece of equipment! My speakers sound amazingly better than ever....wish I had purchased this years ago. Being a state of the art receiver,and having all the bells and whistles, setting it up is extremely complicated but the sales associate warned us of this. We're still fine tuning our setup and loving our purchase.

A good product for surround sound and other features

This receiver does everything we need it to do. We have multiple devices hooked up to it and once programed through the remote we find it very user friendly.

We were able to get last years model on the Yamaha - AVENTAGE 770W 7.2-Ch. 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver . It is an excellent receiver and we got a great open box discount. Love it.

Great product to use in one room, but might want to consider a different product to channel sound to multiple rooms at the same time.

Sounds great. The manual is 150+ pages long though. It's a complicated piece of equipment. But once you spend some time learning it, it sounds great.

THIS WAS MY SECOND YAMAHA AV UNIT. THE OLD ONE IS STILL GREAT BUT TECHNOLOGY CAUGHT UP WITH IT. THE NEW ONE IS EXCELLENT.

This is my 1st Yamaha and it is good. Yamaha is better than Pioneer and Onkyo I had before.
