I have been using this receiver for over a year now, and it has never failed me. It is the centerpiece of my home theater system, and has been providing me with great 7.1 surround sound. I use it for watching television, Blu-ray movies, 4K movies, 3D movies, and audio, and everything sells good with it.

This Aventage professional receivers produces high level audio performance and excels well in the movies when compared to the music. The only downside is the GUI could have done better for this price point. Other downside you cannot use Yamaha Music unless you have Yamaha music cast speakers. Other than that this is an overall good receiver with excellent 4K capabilities.

The unit provides excellent sound quality. I particularly like the control provided by the apps available for phone/tablet. Set up is easy although I haven't been able to find how to use rear speakers for full sound in another room in addition to zone 2. I hope to devote more time to investigate this soon.

The app is super easy to use and the system works great, 2 zones, 1 inside for surround sound/entertaining music and 1 outside to have tunes on the patio. We can play tv inside and outside and music on either. Only thing it can't do is play tv outside while playing something else like music inside.

This is a great receiver for the dollar. It does everything most people will need. There are plenty of HDMI inputs(6). There's upscaling up to 4K. HDMI switching works flawlessly with no delay. Built in Wifi is awesome and works great. There's even a wifi signal meter in the front display to help. Apple AirPlay works great with the Music Enhancer feature. The large amount of options can be a little cumbersome to access. The app to control it with your smart phone is pretty simple to use. I liked the YPAO setup. It's quick, simple and it sounds good. The only thing it lacks is pre-amp outputs to connect to an external amplifier. Most people won't need this which is why I opted for this instead of the RXA860. In my experience, Yamaha makes awesome and reliable receivers. This one comes with a three year warranty as well. This is the best bang for the buck in the Aventage line in my opinion. Definitely worth giving a try.

I was looking to expand my music to an outdoor patio/hot tub area as well as to have the ability to send and control music remotely. I also have a 5.1 speaker setup in my living room. The Yamaha - Aventage 810 let me create a second zone that I can play independently from my living room speakers. I ran a network cable from the receiver to my router/modem. And with MusicCast I can control the receiver from any wifi connected device. I can play Spotify/Pandora on the patio while the kids are watching a movie in the living room. I have hooked the receiver up to a Samsung 4K UBD-K8500 blue-ray player and a Sony XBR65X930D. The picture wants to jump off the screen while the sound comes crisp and clear from all around you! Loving this setup!

Yamaha offers a easy to set up and navigate A/V receiver. The sound quality is impressive, if you listen to 2 channel music and need more power, this reciever has no preamp out ro connect a power amp. Just understand that.

Sounds good in my living room. Running TV, Blueray, and Apple TV through it. No Problems so far. Bought this to replace a Denon unit that kept killing it's video card. This unit is big though. Currently trying to find a TV cabinet for it and the Yamaha is almost 7 inches tall with the feet underneath it. Most TV stand/cabinets give an area under the TV of about 6 inches.

I bought this receiver to compliment the LG Electronics OLED55B6P Flat 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV (2016 Model). It is paired with the Samsung - UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player. I used my existing Yamaha speakers and extra presence speakers for the Dolby Atmos. The visuals, sound and functionality of the receiver exceeds my expectations. This high quality, solidly built receiver bumped our home entertainment system to the next level.

The RX-A760 is an excellent sounding receiver. This purchase was a bit overkill for my purpose but it was well worth it. I'm using this as an external dac to my PC in the office. Using my nvidia video card, windows successfully detects the all the supported sample rates and encoded formats without the use of any additional drivers. Using foobar, i was able to decode and play all my Flac, and hires DSD files. I had no issues connecting my sony HDR tv, Sony PS4 pro and PSVR.. Really enjoying this receiver.

    Missing my Marantz

See my review of Marantz for full story. This unit is amazing for sound quality. But Menues are flat, boring, not a lot going on. Keep in mind most of us do not like natural sound, which this delivers accurately. All we listen to is artificial, movies crank it to 10..then add 15 more. Many don't know that most new music is from a computer. Think pitch correction, timing, add in fuller drums (samples) Sorry to say but most bands are fake on stage also. With all of this. If you care about space, stronger bass ( artificially) and better menus. And if you can deal with slightly less clarity (if you purchased new speakers at less than 1500$ for main pair... it's all irrelevant) then go Marantz. Magnolia room 2 pair of speakers to make this Yamaha shine.... Martin Logan ( non electrostatic) 999$ each. Or. Definitive Technologies bp9060st model

This receiver is hands down one of, if not the best receivers you can get for this price range. It has monumentally improved my home theater in a multitude of ways. The separation is second to none and the base is significantly tighter in comparison to my old Yamaha RX-V667. It has really made my entire system feel like it's brand new and created a whole new experience. Highly recommend getting this receiver if you can. I have no regrets at all.

We used this with Bowers and Wilkins center speaker and 4 B&W satellite speakers in each corner of a small tv room and a sub.....plus powering up the entire house thru a speaker changer from Zone 2... fabulous sound! However...its slightly complicated to do all the stuff it can do.... and how to adjust it....you must go into settings and fish your way thru... tons of control features...it does more than you might need...but great sound and decent value for all the features...

Good system and easy to navigate between settings. Recommend you let Geek Squad set it up. They connected all my components to receiver and labeled them so when you use the app you know what buttons to press. Geek squad zip tied all wiring and cords so it looks neat and clean. The system replaced an Onkyo when I upgraded to 4K. There is a delay when using pass through but I can live with it. So far happy about purchase
