Easy to use and setup

The features like Atmos/DTS X are things I like to think "Future Proof" this a bit even though I don't plan on using anytime soon. MusiCast on the other hand, I use daily and it's amazing. I am able to use the MusiCast app on my phone to control playback of all the local music on my phone which was important to me - along with Spotify. I love that the reciever can be in standby mode and as soon as I use the app to connect, the music starts playing. Awesome.

Network board failure within 6 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 6 months of owning this receiver I had to bring it into a repair shop 30 miles away because the network board failed on it. That meant that the NIC, WiFi, and Bluetooth were all non-functioning. Your mileage may vary but I'm not sure I would buy a Yamaha again. Aside from that it's been a pretty good receiver. I'm able to get Atmos out of it with my new presence speakers but I'm still not able to get DTS:X working all the time for some reason. There's lots of inputs and the setup is pretty easy if you've had one before.
