Bought in "2016. Sounds great and has plenty of component connection options but the unit and the previous model I owned both had issues with the HDMI out circuitry and a failed mainboard. I had this one in the shop just this past spring via geeksquad (in warrantee) , took 3 weeks to get back and I has again, malfunctioned under the same issue. I had better service from my 15 year old JVC receiver. I will not be buying another Yamaha brand If I can help it!

I taken off one star because if the remote. I don't like that the inputs are only labeled by number. I miss having proper labels. The receiver has great sound, and was a good buy.

Had to replace a Yamaha 5.1 after 12 years and got this so happy for it should of done it sooner.

This works great with my speakers and will allow me to upgrade to ATMOS when I am ready.

Added this as part of a total home theater upgrade and just like my previous experiences with Yamaha A/V receivers, it makes for outstanding addition. I've owned several Yamaha A/V receivers over the past 20 odd years (I'm a sucker for technology upgrades) and I've never been disappointed with their performance. I highly recommend this product as part of any home theater system.

I replaced my TV Feb 2017 and was informed that it was best to replace my 10 year old High end Yamaha AV amp due to it only having 2 HDMI inputs and one out, and not capable of passing new incoming 4K formats when available. The installing company recommended this model. I have a universal remote, but I wish the remote for the amp was better and back lit. The amp is fine but does not have the "Punch" my old amp had (about 20 watts per channel less). Overall it was a good choice. It does have a phono input too, which is a plus for us vinyl loving folks.

I have a lot of experience with this receiver. I install, setup and program the RX-A750 for clients on a regular basis. You get quite a few features and a powered 2nd zone for the price. The big feature that most people like is AirPlay for apple product. The receiver is reliable and will deliver for any basic to mid range HT system. I can't recall having to go back to a clients home for issues with this receiver. App controls are a bit cumbersome to get around but once you use it a few times, edit your names and inputs it is a bit easier.

This Yamaha receiver met my needs perfectly and was easy to set up.
