I found the sound quality of the Yamaha to be pretty good, however, I did not like the app interface or the limitations placed on how mp3 files can be played off a USB drive. When you have an extensive music library, ease in access to songs, artists, albums, etc. is important and Yamaha fails here compared to Denon's Heos and Onkyo. At the price point these receivers go for now, consumers deserve a solid interface. Were it not for this, I would have kept the unit as I liked the sound settings for surround and otherwise, the receiver was good.

Great receiver. Easy to set up and sound is great

Needed to replace a Lifestyle 48 Bose system (which I loved). Geek Squad came to the house and recommended the Yamaha with a speaker set 7.1+1 speaker set up. Couldn’t be happier. The features on the Yamaha are probably more than I’ll ever use. Just interested on how it sounds and it sounds great!

Yamaha has always had the "warm" sound I love. With my new Atoms speakers the additional channel to my 5 speaker system was perfect. The set up was easy to follow. Next I will be checking our music cast, so stay tuned

I would have given 5 stars but I didn’t get to try everything out yet. Not sure how to obtain internet radio stations and haven’t hooked up zone 2 speakers yet. Quality sound as expected from Yamaha.

Yamaha RX A2A receiver has enough power to work all my home theatre speakers and towers plus the OLED TV. Design is sleek and remote control is easy to use. Interfaces well with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney +. Price was a bit high but not as expensive as other Yamaha models.

The receiver works great for my small apartment. It took me a while to figure out how to get the settings just right. It works for for me. I did receive a software update which apparently updates the 120 hz for 4K but not sure, I don’t have a 120hz tv just regular 4K at 60

I am very pleased with this Yamaha receiver. Provides multiple HDMI inputs for many devices. Setup was relatively easy but being old school, I prefer a real hands on manual. Thus the 4 rating.

Does everything I need it to.. Replacing a Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A2020, that started to make popping noise and turning on/off on its own.. So over all I'm pretty happy with this receiver..!!!

Excellent quality. Easy to use interface. The ONLY thing i would change is to space rhe speak wire ports just a tab bit further apart. Hard to get to with big hands! Awesome product.

Absolute great purchase! Yamaha does it again with the A2A! Sounds great and delivers such a great video!! Brings out the true PS5 ability with its' graphics in 8K!!

Brief use found excellence sound and so on, but sound not quite up to high level of Audio Research tube amp (impossible test, perhaps). For the price, I wanted tops-plus..

This is a great little receiver. It is a very accomplished receiver for a small room and provides easy setup and great sound.

Looks good sounds good. Can't get music cast to work. I'm still remodeling the space so have not spent alot of time tracking down the issue.

Was looking at this system for a long time and finally bought it. I feel it offers alot of features only found in very high end systems. I like the auto setup system for your media room.

Excellent upgrade from a ten-plus year old Yamaha receiver. Well built, solid. With a lot of functionality. Very happy

A great mid ramge receiver. I like the fact that it comes with an additional HDMI port with 7 total. Most receivers give you only 6. The sound that it generates is crstal clear. The swt up might be a bit time consuming but once thevset up is twicked, you do get great overall sound. The Music Cast that it build in with allows you to use external devices like your phone or tablet to control the receiver.

The sound on this receiver has been great and I've enjoyed hearing my programs and shows with new ears! However, this is not a receiver for the novice, so I recommend getting the Geek Squad to connect and set everything up!

Trouble maintaining connection between XFINITY BOX, Samsung smart tv and Yamaha receiver. I have to check and reset settings often. Very frustrating! Receiver otherwise performs very well. Did not have these issues with previous DENON receiver.
