The specifications and the features make this unit worth considering if you can find one. Units in this price range are scarce probably do to chips in short supply. The settings are very numerous and the manual (online) is extensive. Very happy with it.

Decided to replace our older Yamaha receiver when we got our new LG OLED 65" TV. So glad we did! Sound is AMAZING!

Wow I have been putting off an amp upgrade from my old Yamaha rxv1500. This makes my speakers sound even better and the atmos.is amazing.

Like most folks, I really wanted to like this AVR--it had very positive reviews, and some industry "experts" praised it as being the best option in his price range. And while it produced amazing sound, the HDMI switching between video inputs was unbearably slow; often, it wouldn't even produce any video at all. It was frustrating to use my PS4, as the HDMI switching often just produced a blank screen. And the few times it was able to connect to the PS4 HDMI port, it would constantly ask me to reset the HDR parameters on the TV. I tested my older unit to make sure the TV isn't the issue (LG 90 series Nanocell), and the old Pioneer was quick and immediate with the HDMI switching. Ultimately, it became too frustrating and I took it back to BBY and picked up an Pioneer Elite--haven't looked back.

I love it. It sounds incredible and I think its the best bang for the buck receiver on the market.

I got This is a gift from my friend hes sitting up a home theatre and doesn't want to go too expensive with his equipment so I thought this would be a nice little addition to his collection so far would have heard of it it sounds pretty good

Didn't have a remote, no manual, and no room microphone, even though it was listed as Open box excellent. Can't access on-screen menu nor the different sound fields. No a happy purchase.

Had to replace my sony. I use it mostly for music as a backing track for guitar. But also for movies and sports. No real complaints this far, only small gripe would be the wierd way it displays the volume in decibels rather than just a simple number. It will display negitive 16.8 decibles and be at a fairly loud volume. .... no idea how this makes sence. But overall its a great unit.

I am not a particularly well educated or informed electronic consumer, butI am thrilled with this purchase. The price seemed right and it does everything I hoped it would, and I would be proud to recommend it to anyone who asked.

Been working with Yamaha receivers for decades, always reliable. This receiver have 7 HDMI inputs and 2 outputs! Setup mic easy to use and functional. I almost always recommend Yamaha receiver to my clients.

We've owned Yamaha receivers for years. My last one was working great after years of use, but we needed bluetooth and a few other newer features. This replacement produces an awesome, quality sound. We're very pleased with it.

Wish the 4k was up to the current standard. All in all very nice receiver.

I believe this receiver has too many bugs to work around. It required a new setup every time it was turned on. If you wanted to switch inputs it would cycle through every possible input and change the settings. About 50% of the time you had to get the remote for the TV and go to sound and turn off The TV speaker and reset to sound out ACR and reset input from Air input to HDMI to get the receiver audio to work. It was like the "Air input and internal speaker was the default settings. Trying to use the PDF operation manual of a computer in a different room did not help much. Some times the only way to clear the receiver was to turn off all power to TV, receiver and cable box then unhook one end of the HDMI cords and drain down the system. I have had surround sound for 35 years. I returned it.
