During the recovery on my left ear from an Ear surgery, I researched and came across this awesome product! I had to get this when my hearing came back and BOY!!! this product truly delivers!!! I was truly immersed in the sounds when i watched movies or nature show to meditate. Not only does the the product delivers powerful sounds but the receiver is powerful enough to support not 1 but 2 subwoofers!!! Be careful watching horror movies because the product will make it sound as if the monster is in your living room! The Yamaha speakers can be upgraded to tower speakers that can be wired in. If you have other tower speakers that can be wired in such as Sony and Klipsch you can connect them to the receiver and save money. This product will be passed on for generations!

Fantastic sound I am so glad we upgraded to this one stick with name brands that you are familiar with. I only wish that the subwoofer powered with the amplifier I don’t like having to turn that on all the time but I do like the fact that it is all hardwired, and, the wires are easy to hide their small. It actually sounds amazing very happy with the Yamaha highly recommend it.

I got this to replace an obsolete DVD surround sound system I bought 20 years ago (pre-HDMI). The system is fairly straightforward, but I did find the 300+ page manual helpful. I downloaded it from Yamaha. FYI, the manual is for the RX-V4A receiver that is included with the set. The speakers are small but fine for my living room space. Much better than the TV. You can get this receiver alone and pick your own speakers as the speaker ohms output can be selected in settings. I also wired my house with 14 AWG speaker wire and didn't use the thin wire that was included. Overall, I like this system. It sounds great to me and has one of the best signal to noise ratios you find for the price. And if you're still using some of those old components, there are audio RCA jacks. So you can keep that 8 track player you've had hidden for 50 years.

I had a Yamaha surround sound system prior to purchasing this one. I had it for 15 years with no problems at all, so I thought it was time for an upgrade. I love this system. I have all the features I didn't have on my previous system now: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, wired internet, auto turn-on, and the list goes on and on. I highly recommend it.

Connection doesn't matter, the system sounds good, and sometimes a bit too much.

Speakers work great sound builds up rather then just all of that sound in your face nice feel and look speakers feel like cheap plastic but they do provide a really good sound the treble and bass are really good as well the reason I give this system a 4 start rather then a 5 star is because getting the music cast app to work on an iPhone is a bit of an ordeal but other then that great

I have been using soundbars for most of my life, and wanted some better sound quality, while this is not top tier system, im not audio afficionado either and i think this sounds amazing, leagues above any sound bar for a very cheap price as a 5.2 system, i also bought a dayton audio sub1200 to add and have fallen in love with watching movies again.

This item was amazing. The sound quality and bass was astounding. Unfortunately, I had to get rid of it because pest in my apartment, but as soon as it goes on sale again, I will be purchasing another one.

Great Sound, Bluetooth works both connecting to device and also connecting speakers for output. Easy to set up and you can't go wrong with the Sub.

It sounds great and was easy to install. It has a lot of different settings so you can choose the sound you want. The speakers are small but I was surprised at how good they they sound.

For the price you can’t beat it, it’s got 8k pass thru and this was an upgrade from my 4K pass thru.. which is now in my bedroom. Haven’t had a Yamaha break on me yet, both are going strong.. I love the sound quality as well, but I’m not a speaker geek so there may be things I am not aware of, but like I said.. for the price I am very happy.

A lot power in the bass that can be adjusted to your liking, clear sound all a plus. The surrounding speakers excluding the sub, do tend to not sound as clear, specifically when something is farther away though it could just be my settings. Still I'd recommend this system as it does it's job splendidly.

The configuration is easy, the RXAV4 is a great device, has a lot of functions that could be configured through the remote control or via web. also the kit of speakers sounds good (if you want to have a better sound, please consider to change the speakers for others) In general is a pretty good sound system

I brought this sytem for mother. To replace her syrem from the stine ages. The sound is crystal clear, the sub woofer is perfect.

This system is compact and the sound is great! Movie watching is a real pleasure with vibrant room filling sound. I like my system. The bass is great!

Couldn't be happier with the sound quality. I actually have to turn the bass down because I live in a apartment complex. Even if I didnt the volume shouldn't be turned up more than half.

For the price the system is great, good sound quality, Bass, and features. My setup required a lot more tinkering than I expected. If you're connecting this to a 1080p projector you may need to play with the settings to get everything to work. Otherwise I highly recommend the set to anybody.
