    While I enjoyed Yooka-Laylee, the sequel, The Impossible Lair, is a much better & more refined experience. While it's more of a side-scrolling platformer a la Donkey Kong Country or Super Mario Bros., it also offers a 3D hub world that is as much of a game as the side-scrolling portions. While the hub world has an overhead view, it's very much akin to the original Yooka-Laylee, as it's very open with puzzles, NPC's to talk to, secrets to find, all played in a 3D perspective. The Impossible Lair is essentially two great games in one. I'd recommend it if you like polished platformers like Donkey Kong & Mario.

    Yooka-Laylee finally succeeds in bringing the platformer to the next level. With an original structure, made of puzzles and reverse narration, this new episode brings a fresh OST and some great ideas, while being sometimes too difficult or unprecise. A really good game for nostalgics and newcomers.

    This is more for old skool gamers who grew up playing SNES platformers like DKC series. I recommend if you like those types of games. Also the team that produced this game is basically made up of former Rare employees. (If you have children this is a good game to play with your kids as well.)

    I have the first one on Xbox I got this one on Xbox as well I really enjoy platformers it's up there with Mario banjo kazooie donkey Kong country and so on this game is very fun I hope this has a long run of games for the future and maybe one day we'll get these characters in smash One Day???!!! From Nintendo!!!

    Good follow up to the original. This one is a 2d platformer though. Not too difficult. Great for any age gamer.

    2D Side-scrolling action!!! Almost like the New Super Mario Bros. series.... if you liked the characters and dialogue from the first game, you'll like this one.

    This game reminded me of donkey Kong country. And that's a very good thing. Fast paced side scroller with a lot of POP! Can be a little frustrating at times but nothing that I didn't end up beating. Took me about 10 hrs to complete.
