Bought this movie for my wife as she always wants watch it during the holidays but never available on netflex nor as freebie on other streaming platforms. This version comes blue ray and includes the original film it was based. Its a win win with the low price :).

Not only did I get "You've Got Mail" in blue ray, the original "Shop Around The Corner" was included in this package! I enjoyed watching the original black and white "Shop Around The Corner" first and then watched the newest version of this timeless tale, "You've Got Mail". The letter writing relationship between the characters is quaint and comfortable. Enter today's methods of email and the immediateness of responses. The differences in lifestyles from "Shop" to "Mail" are dramatized nicely. This double entertainment package blue ray provides a very enjoyable and entertaining evening.

Love Story starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan as two people who have been corresponding via email for years not knowing each other's identity. They finally meet because of business but don't know they are the email correspondents. The "audience" is in on the "secret" from the start. The price is fantastic and also includes the movie this is loosely based on "The Shop Around the Corner".

My favorite all-time movie, but dread the day it airs on TCM! The major characters were well-developed and believable - and funny. Jean Stapleton could have been given another scene to work her magic. The feel of NY was pretty authentic, and the now vintage dial-up just adds to its charm. The bluray version did enhance the photographic aspect. What else can I say? Get a nice glass of wine, sit back and enjoy. My cat even enjoyed the outdoor scenes, its Lewis approved at 3 paws.

The great chemistry of Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan are once again matched to enchanting romantic comedy. Meg, an owner of a small book store that is having to close because of the big chain book store ran by Tom Hanks. The two meet and unknowingly the truth about each is not known until they have grown to truly see each other and fall in love. All this takes place and they get to know each other through email not knowing it's the other that they are speaking too.

First off let me say I am a horror/action film fan. Love me violence and more violence. Yet I absolutely love this movie. This film just has that special something I just can't get enough of. The one problem though is the video quality on this release is a little lack luster. Not super horrible but could have been better. Seems darker than the DVD and LaserDisc releases. One big plus is that it comes with the film Shop Around The Corner, the original film this one is based on. All in all it's worth picking up if you don't have any other previous releases.

One of my favorite movies, just a good-time heart-warming story. Blueray quality isn't really a "WOW!" factor for this movie (understandable as it was filmed 20 years ago), it does look nicer than a DVD though. I'm a guy who is usually into more of the Adam Sandler / Will Ferrell type comedy movies, or most action packed movies, however this I do enjoy this "chick-flick".

Enjoyed the movie on tape years ago and picked this one up on Blu-Ray in the Best Buy $5.99 bin. A good transfer to Blu Ray along with some decent bonus interviews & commentary. Cannot comment on The Shop Around the Corner - DVD, I haven't watched it yet. This one is for fans of the "You've got Mail" movie, great viewing around Christmas time.

I love that the re make of You've got Mail is packaged with the original film that this one comes from both are well acted and good fun movies with the same basic underlying theme. Both are fun to watch also for different reasons and I like both and glad to have them together in one package.

A remake of 'The Shop Around the Corner'.. what works is the chemistry between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, both of whom give wonderful performances.. Dabney Coleman is also excellent in a small part as Hank's' dad.. One of the better RomCom's of the last 20yrs, easy on the eye, sweet romantic story, good soundtrack and some truely beautiful locations. Highly Recommended.
