This was a gift to my self after some research on the drone's market, the built-in 4K video 3G Pro camera takes mesmerizing pictures and videos, the flight time is pretty good compared to similar priced drones and the ST-16 touch screen control is really user friendly, now I'm exploring about the object avoidance feature which is very useful when flying in a crowded environment.

I love this thing. I've only had it for a few weeks at this point, & have flown it 5-10 times, but it's worked perfectly from day one, takes great video, & is easy to fly. I went behind a barn on one flight & lost video. When I hit the "return to home" switch it flew back towards me automatically & when I got the video feed back I took control again... a great feature. The screen on the controller gives an awesome picture as well as flight info too. Would definitely recommend this drone! Only thing is, I wish it came with 2 batteries & a quick charger (something I've already ordered). The charger it comes with takes nearly 2.5 hours to charge one battery. But, that's why it's their entry level drone. I believe the Typhoon H plus comes with 2 batteries & the dual quick charger that charges them in just over an hour. It also comes with the backpack (something I ordered as well that is worth getting for sure). Also, there are tons of videos online to help you learn how to use the features & a very friendly Yuneec forum you can ask questions on.

Is a very good drone for the money takes excellent pictures and videos.

A lot of people put this drone down over the DJI phantom but I love my typhoon H thank U. duke54.

This drone has just about everything you are going to need in a drone. Immediate recommendation is to get a backpack and MORE batteries :) The drone is fast, responsive and is a stable flyer with all the GPS/GLONASS technology you need. Takes photos in JPEG AND DNG (raw) so you really have a lot you can accomplish. Video settings up to 4k and if you want some slow motion, you can record in 120fps at 1080p resolution. HD videos are top notch and are all over YOUTUBE if you are not sure what you are getting. The 20+ minutes of flight time is great and will provide you with plenty of time to get the shots that you need to make the next epic video or great photos for your pleasure. The only CON that I can think of at this point is that the COLLISION AVOIDANCE only sees FORWARD and slows the max speed to half of normal. Other than that, this drone is one of the best upgrade purchases I have ever made! Buy with confidence and realize that the CUSTOMER SERVICE at Yuneec is top notch in the drone world!

Don't waste your money... I've flown many Drones, And own 6 right now. Yuncee will not help you if your having Tech problems. Best Buy gets very upset if you have to return it for any reasons. I will not even shop at the Glen Burnie Store in Maryland because the Manager Brian was so rude to me because I had to return 3 malfunctioned Drones that they were not my fault. It was the company that made them. I'll never shop or do business with Best Buy or Yuncee again. Save your money, there terrible Drones. Also the people from Yuncee called me and told me they would replace my Drone that just flew away... Never heard from them again. Ken Kuchera

I have both the earlier Yuneec drone as well as a Phantom drone from DJI. I really enjoyed both of them and this is without a doubt a HUGE upgrade in functionality. The retractable landing gear is too cool and the video it takes is fantastic. It comes with 1 battery and everyone should buy another because ~25 minutes of flying time won't be enough for most people. The modes were pretty easy to use, Orbit in particular is something I can use. I am an experienced drone pilot so the collision avoidance was not a particular interest but i can see how a less experienced pilot can save a potential crash becasue of it. This is a really great drone any anyone buying it will not be disappointed.

i had the H for about 4 months. this is my first professional grade drone. i read countless reviews and POSITIVE customer service experiences with Yunnec and that helped me make my decision on purchasing this. i fly it about 5-6 days a week at different locations and i NEVER had a bad flight. not only is it very easy to fly it has many features to pretty much make it fly it self. it has lots of redundancy and safety features that help me fly this with confidence. i love the automatic flight modes like Orbit, Selfie, and curved cable cam. people in public always are amazed by its design and say they never seen one with this shape and thats another reason why i chose this. its simply unique looking and defiantly stands out from the rest. the video quality is amazingly stable and the 360 degree rotating gimbal gets you shots u cant get with a phantom or any in this price range. i should probably mention its retractable landing gear legs that make a huge difference in your videos. i never worry about legs getting in my shots, one less thing to worry about when flying. obstacle avoidance on the base model works just as it should and adds another layer of confidence when flying around trees and walls. there are lost of advantages this has over other drones, more than i already mention but i can say im extremely happy with my first drone. I will continue being a Yuneec customer, and im looking forward to future products :D

This is definitely not a toy! This is my 4th drone, and there are a lot more usable, handy, and beneficial feature functions on this aircraft than on any other drone I've ever owned. It is design, materials, and workmanship are good, it is relatively easy to fly, it stores and transports well, and it records very good images. However it seems obvious the manual was written in a foreign language and then translated literally, because some instructions can be confusing, ambiguous, or even appear conflicting with some of the other instructions in the book. It is because of this, and because one of the included spare rotors would not fit onto the motor, I could not give it a 5 star rating. The scant, limited number of instructional videos helped some, but the best solution (if you're less than Einstein IQ like me) is to join up in a pilots forum. Other members in the one I use jump through hoops to help get my questions answered. For anyone considering purchasing one I offer two additional suggestions; First, because of all the different functions available, study and know the manual well. This can't be stressed enough! Secondly, get some filters for the camera lens, especially a polarizer. As mentioned, the image quality is very good, but with the appropriate lens filter it becomes exceptional.

Overall it's a good drone for the price, construction isn't bad and is fairly easy to work on. The st16 ground station is built like tank, setting a task or making adjustments to the camera while in flight can be difficult for new or experienced pilots, simply because of all the different steps that's needed to be taken to get what you want. One of the pluses it's an easy drone to fly, controls aren't shaky and you can fly in wind up to 25 mph. The biggest problem I had is losing video while flying. About 4 months after I bought it I decided to test the range, yuneec claims it has a range of 1 mile. Normal sunny day winds out of the west at 15, got it in the air pulled the gear up and took off. Video started lagging at 600 yards, at 700 I lost all video. After laying a gold brick I hit the RTH switch, video came back on at around 500 yards. That just one problem I had with it, the other three are hard to explain. I would only recommend this as a starter.

I saw this one out of all the drones, and said I had to have this one. I had to wait for one of the first ones in the beginning, and it was worth the wait! The picture, video quality is top notch! The Typhoon H couldn't have been any easier to fly, My 13 year old flies it like a champ! With all the tutorials on Yuneecs website and youtube videos out there, I am in the loop of all the upgrades on software, and how to better fly my Typhoon H. I love my Typhoon H and would definitely buy this product again, and again. I bring this drone on vacation with me and get all the pictures and video I would only dream of! This Typhoon H makes it so easy. My Typhoon H didn't come with realsence collision avoidance (not available at the time), I just ordered it and can't wait to install it!

I received my Yuneec Typhoon H last Friday (6/3/16) and have been flying it ever since. Since the batteries are scarce on the market right now I have been limited to a few flights per day. However, from my own personal experience with drones, this one is as good as they come. I have researched the DJI Phantom 4 and the Yuneec Typhoon H for three months and based upon the customer support, pricing, features and overall battery performance, I chose the Typhoon H. And probably the biggest choice in the matter was the customer support. Of all of the times I have called Yuneec, I have never had to wait more than five minutes to talk to someone out in California and they have been nothing but helpful and nice. Lastly, included in the Best Buy package is the Wizard Wand, which truly makes flying and filming easy to do with a one-man crew. So I highly recommend this drone unit and all its goodies. You will not be disappointed! Cheers!

Hands down this is the best drone in its class. Look no further. I've been flying for over a year now using the DJI Phantom 3 Professional. I enjoyed flying so much I decided to pick up another bird. I did some research on the internet and fell in love with the design of the Typhoon H. Digging a little deeper I found out that not only does this hexicopter come with obstacle avoidance but you also have the option to upgrade to the real sense module which allows the drone autonomously to move around obstacles autonomously. In addition you get a sweet radio with a 7inch built in high resolution touch screen. I have no desire to use my phone for fpv on my drone anymore. Did I mention you can hook you radio up to wifi and surf the web like its some sort independent tablet and download apps, it also comes with a neck strap to hold up the remote. They just really hit the hammer on the nail. Retractable landing gear, beautiful lights that light up the night sky, and it has a full 360 dgree camera. Let's talk about support a little bit. At DJI I was just a number. There was no real connection with the customer over the phone. At Yuneec I felt like I was really valued even if it was something simple they took the time to assist and follow up. The Yuneec Customer Support Team is truely awesome. When I got the DJI Phantom I was happy. When I got the Typhoon H I was blown away for what I got for my hard earned money. I'm a fan for the long haul. Thanks Yuneec.

This is a great drone. It has its growing pains with firmware as they get the bugs out. Customer service is great too. I haven't actually had any major problems bit have been satisfied with my interaction with Yuneec. What really sold ke was the hex design and 5 motor mode. There are videos on YouTube showning tgis working like a charm saving the aircraft from certain destruction.

This is the 3rd drone I have owned. It is fantastic. Easy to fly, feature ladden. The camera is good. Definitely watch how to vids on how to apply settings on camera, you'll get great results. This was a lot of money for me to dole out for a toy. Man, I'm glad I did!

My 12-year old son saved up for a year to buy this drone. We love it. It is easy to fly (outdoors!) and the picture quality is great. The drone is incredibly stable, as is the picture - even when the drone is jerking about. The only issue we've experienced is that occasionally, the drone will start flying in small circles in mid-flight. The solution has been to land and recalibrate, but this is pretty difficult. Still, it's an awesome drone!

Love this drone.. you will not be disappointed with it at all.. it can handle the higher winds then other drones can.. the pictures it takes are amazing

I love this drone and all the feature. The journey mode, CCC, and point of interest all allow me to get some amazing photos and videos. I enjoy the easy of use out the box and the fact it includes an integrated screen in the ST16 so I do not have to drain my phone or tablet battery. The customer service is top notch and easy to reach Monday through Saturday. I would definitely suggest looking into the Typhoon H for your aerial needs.
