Customers are impressed with the durability and long battery life of the Rugged Folio Keyboard Case. However, some customers find the case to be heavy and bulky, and a few mention the price point as a potential drawback. The strength of the magnets is also a concern for some users. While the Bluetooth functionality is noted, there are mixed experiences reported.

The pros to this product.
1. Durable and you know your iPad mini will be protected if you drop it.
2. There are four ways to use this case. Solo without the keyboard, laptop mode, book mode and movie mode! All of them are great.
3. It's connected by a magnet. This way you don't break any cheap plastic parts.
Cons.
The only con is that it makes the iPad a little heavier and bulky. The good outweighs the bad so get this case!

I've had a few different cases for iPads over the years. Notably the Belkin Ultimate Keyboard/case along with several cheaper keyboards and cases. Thus far, the Zagg Rugged Folio Keyboard Case does it the best.
First off, the case feels very well made. Yes, it does add bulk, but it is well made bulk. The case doesn't creak or squeek. The hinges feel solid. The rubber coating is tight to the poly frame. It feels like something that will hold up through several years of normal use.
The backlighting of the keys is a really nice feature for night owls like myself. The multi color lighting is a bonus along with multiple levels of brightness.
The keyboard itself is solid and does not bend or flex while typing. The bulk of the keys are of almost normal size. The "others", being quotes, brackets, caps, etc, are MUCH smaller than normal, and can make for being difficult to reach. Thankfully its not so bad as to slow you down too much since they are not used quite as often... usually. Some other keys were merged together and require the use of the FN key. This also takes some getting used to, however, considering the size Zagg did a good job of making the tradeoffs work.
I cannot comment too much on the battery life. I have had the case for a month now and only use the backlighting when it is dark. Otherwise I have a few hours of usage per day on the keyboard and I have not charged it yet.
The cover also performs the sleep/wake function on the iPad when you open the cover like a book.
And, being that you can remove the iPad from the keyboard (and flip the combo around) is one of the few in the market that can handle that trick. The magnetic hinge works wonders for this task. Secure enough to hold the iPad in place, but not so secure that it is a pain to remove.
So far I have really been enjoying this case by Zagg, and previous customer service experiences with them will keep me returning as a customer for future needs.
Give this case a go if you need a rugged case for your iPad. You won't be disappointed.

Best rugget heavy duty iPad cases

I purchased this case of myself and iPad min 3. I have been looking online on different sites. Some came close to me buying, but I had to visit my local Best Buy. I wanted this strong, heavy duty, and rubberized case. No I'm not in any field of destruction. I'm in this type of case for total protection of my device. The same goes for my iPhone. I pay good money for my device(s). So I would like a dependable and reliable tough case. I love it. Originally I purchase a case with my iPad, but returned the case, because it was too flimsy and thin. No protection whatsoever. The keyboard is an extra plus for me. I was also looking at lighted keyboards as well but the case is what I wanted first. So I killed two birds with one stone

my job requires me to be in the office as well as on the job site, so I needed somethign that I could type on as well as use for just the touchscreen feature of the ipad. This case works great! Especially for working in the dark during a production for taking notes, etc.! Highly recommend.
