It is a bit heavy but it protects the pro well. I usually detach the keyboard and use it primarily as a hard bumper case if I want to lighten the load and don't anticipate using the keyboard. The battery on the keyboard last quite a long time as I haven't recharged it in 6 months.

If you are looking to make your iPad Pro 12.9" into something almost a laptop but still lighter than most this is a good solution. The keyboard is responsive and secure feeling when closed or open. The backlit keys are good as well. Bluetooth pairing seemed to be very quick and i didn't notice myself waiting for it to awaken while using it. That was supposed to be a knock against it and a strength of the new apple keyboard and logitech due to the connector. But again I didn't notice it. I ultimately returned the keyboard only because I couldn't return the logitech I bought when it first came out and i couldn't rationalize having 3 keyboards for my iPad. If you don't have one yet at all this is a good choice, part case, all keyboard, a bit heavy, but possibly the best compromise of all the available case/keyboards out there.

I was looking for a keyboard that could also protect my IPad even when I wasn't using it. When attached, my IPad looks like a regular Mac Book Pro. I love the way I can take it off of the keyboard and still use it as an IPad. Very easy to install and the Bluetooth syncing was seamless. I'm amazed at the battery life on my keyboard as well! I am VERY pleased....well worth the money

The Zagg, slim line keyboard case is an excellent addition to the Ipad Pro. The keyboard easily snaps off for use as a pad yet takes only a second to install for use as a laptop. It's not a hnderánce when using the Pro as a pad but there if I need the keyboard and protects the tablet when not in use.

Great battery life and really easy to use... Quick disconnect to use just the tablet.. Works fine with tempered glass protection as long as you attach the hard back case on first in order to center the glass correctly. Only prob is its a bit heavy... Easy to overlook because it's a great product

I love this keyboard case with one exception. The piece that holds the ipad is plastic and flimsy. It did not take long before it cracked. I was unable to open the cover without the ipad detaching from the keyboard. I got a warranty replacement and the piece holding the ipad cracked again immediately. That being said I still love the case. The keyboard is very comfortable and easy to use. When closed it looks like a laptop and seems well protected. It is a bit heavy but that doesn’t bother me. Zagg could improve this product by using sturdier material to hold the ipad.

I'm satisfied with my purchase. The zagg Slim Book is a very functional keyboard for the IPad Pro. It has an excellent battery life. The hot keys are very convenient. The keyboard base can also be used as a stand. Cons. The plastic Zagg case that snaps to the IPad Pro is not very durable. With minimum wear my case has cracked around the volume keys and headphone jack. With that being said, the zagg slim book looks great and is an excellent keyboard. However if you need a durable case for your iPad Pro you may want to look at other options.

As I am typing this on my keyboard now (chose blue backlight for this one) it truly is the best ever. Turns your Ipad Pro into a laptop. With the stand and owning mine for almost a year now it truly is the greatest investment for my Ipad. My only dislikes are (and I'm abusive so remember that) the area backing where the volume is located is weak and has broken on mine. And I can't find just the backing to replace. I will have to purchase a whole new one I suppose. But in the year of owning mine I have only had to charge it twice and I use it everyday for a good bit of 4 hours or more. So if you want a decent priced item for what you can get I would suggest the Zagg products.

Easy to use and highly functional keyboard makes your iPad operate in a laptop like fashion. Hardcover protects like a laptop as well. Makes it easily portable and can be carried in a tote bag or backback with ease. I love this keyboard case.

I tried to love this but I have to say that the case that covers the iPad was not thought out properly. There are weak points by the open spaces for the power and volume buttons that are now cracked. It will be matter of time before it all comes apart. Maybe it's just mine tho. It's also a little heavy. That being said, keyboard itself however is great. No lag and it's charge lasts a long time.

This keyboard case is awesome. The keyboard has a great feel to it. I only need to charge it 2 or 3 times per year. Does a great job of protecting the iPad. I highly recommend this to anyone with an iPad Pro.

I originally liked this product because it allowed me to use my iPad Pro like a laptop. I never had connection issues and the keyboard always worked. The ability to un-dock the iPad Pro from the keyboard is easy, quick, and the rear shell stays on to protect the back of the iPad Pro. My only negative is the weight. I travel with this and it added a bit of heft to my backpack. If weight is not an issue, I recommend this over the Apple Smart Keyboard.

This is a nice addition to my iPad Pro 12.9. I use this as an alternative when I don't want to carry my laptop and just need a portable solution. It works great, and the battery last. I have only charged it once, and I like that you can pair multiple devices. The backlit keyboard is a nice option. I don't like that the back of the case seems to scratch easy. Other than that its a good product and it protects my iPad. Worth the money spent.

Exceptional battery life, easy to charge, pair and launch. A great keyboard for work, late night notes, reports etc. Solid-built well and should last. Can also be paired with other devices.

Great protective case and keyboard for the iPad Pro. A little heavy but worth the protection. Lots of features. It feels that I have a MacPro.

After reading and trying all other options this one met my needs best. But after two weeks using it the plastic cover on the back broke along the edge where the power button shows. I have found it to be wonderful ...laptop like but it is heavy ...heavier than my MacBook. I would rather have a lighter unit and need to charge it along with my iPad than carry the extra weight of the big battery inside.

This iPad Pro case by Zagg is the perfect accessory to your iPad. It's slim design and smooth operating keyboard helps turn your iPad Pro into a full usage laptop computer. Pros: Fully functioning keyboard is smooth and keys cleanly. IPad can detach from keyboard for tablet feel. Cons: the weight is a bit of a drag. Near 4lbs. But I've gotten over it and now I'm hooked. Zagg's a great brand, and I know you won't be disappointed with case.

We purchased the same product for a previous iPad and were extremely satisfied with the product, so we were thrilled to see that is was available for this iPad as well. The case has a detachable, rechargeable, blue tooth keyboard that is easy to use, sensitive to the touch with easy press keys. When the keyboard is separated from the iPad the shell still protects the iPad. The previous iPad that we had fell onto cement with a case similar to this (same case but for a smaller iPad) and there was minimal damage to the iPad.

I have seen other reviews about their Zagg case cracking or hinge mechanism wearing out fast. I've had mine for almost 2 months now and so far it works just as good as it did on day one. Everyone has to decide for themselves on this one. Don't get too hung up on some of the more negative reviews because you may be missing out on a great keyboard case with the Zagg Slim Book for iPad Pro 12.9! Pros: -Backlit keyboard -7 color choices & 3 brightness levels for the keyboard -Makes your iPad look more like a MacBook Pro -flexibility to use like a laptop on your desk or flip around to put screen closer to you on your chest when laying in bed -little/no lag time when typing, unlike many others -good protection for BOTH sides of the iPad -rubber strips to prevent keyboard from sliding on smooth surface Cons: -HEAVY... not just a little heavy- this thing weighs more than the iPad -hard to pick up with one hand -charging port for keyboard at front, cord can get in the way on your desk & should really be toward back -price is steep- for $100+, you might be tempted to explore cheaper knock-offs online, particularly ones without backlit keys for around $30
