I have been operating this unit with 2tb hard drive for about 3 weeks now .Cameras are so so they work ok I wish there was a focus adjustment on them as for some reason one of the cameras is a little blurry but still watchable.It was very easy to set up found all 4 cameras easily and really did not have to do anything .The zsight app works good the meshare.com where you can watch the cams on your computer works well .Internet wise its pretty solid compared to some of my old foscam cameras that were wireless and were dropping connection all the time making them pretty much useless.
Software on the controller is simple could be better especially going back to rewatch certain times its not easy to figure out how to do that.I would recommend this but be forewarned that the cameras are just good and the night vision which is black and white is fair at best and the subject must be within spitting distance of the camera to really see the subject.I guess for the money on sale at Best Buy it is a good buy and it does work and you can remotely keep track of whats going on at your home or office,store whatever from anywhere there is a internet connection.

This is very good NVR system, I had 2 already for my business, You can't find better price and product than this one. I used my own RJ45 cable to extend 2 cameras without any problems. Also the configuration for the NVR is very easy,

All security systems have some issues. For the money, this one is probably the best. It took me a while to figure everything out on my own, but I'm up and running. Just take some time and look at the videos on you tube explaining the set up, they tell you everything. I don't own a smartphone but my buddy came over and he had my cameras on his Iphone in about 20 minutes. The dns service was probably the biggest hurdle but I figured it out. I'm just a novice at computing, if I did it so can you.

Its a great home surveillance camera. i can access it from anywhere. But its not 100% weather proof. The silver parts that connect the camera got rested in few weeks. i hard to paint it to make it rust proof.

If you are like me and not technically inclined, you do not want this product. I am an intelligent individual with excellent reading comprehension skills, but will say the instructions are the worst I have ever seen and scattered in a hundred places online. I bought this thing in June 2016 and finally got it installed and "halfway" working in December. I couldn't reach anybody on the phone so I tried chat. I spoke with someone for about an hour and a half trying to explain that all of my cameras were functioning but only two would display on my screen at a time and I needed to know how to fix it. I don't know how else I could have explained it to be any clearer. The lady was supposed to have somebody with tech support contact me the next day and I have not heard a word. I would give this product a negative rating if I could. I read the reviews before my purchase but decided I could handle it. Don't kid yourselves. This product is not worth the money and help is NOT available if you need it and you very likely will. Pass this one up. I'll never buy a product from these people again.

Read the fine print. Limited warranty. Once it runs out zmodo offers no repairs. Throw it away and buy another one was only option
