Q: Are there any security cameras that don't need an internet connection?
A: Yes. Any of our security kits that use a "DVR" as the recording device instead of an "NVR" would be the older style where the cameras are directly wired back to the DVR recording device without the use of internet.
Q: Item description says it is a 1 TB hard drive, but the list only shows 1000 GIGS, Which one is it?
A: It comes with a 1 Terabyte hard drive. 1000 gigabytes is equal to 1 terabyte.
Q: What is DVR and NVR? Also: Can you use any type/brand/size of PC Monitor with this Product?
A: The DVR or NVR is the box that allows you to record the video footage. The monitor you use to connect to this system should have a VGA cable connection. A: No, a monitor is not included.
A: 2 of the camera cables that come with the kit are 50ft, and the other 2 are 80ft. There is a VGA port on the NVR, so you could connect it to a TV that had kind of port.
Q: Can you use a smart phone to view thru these cameras?
A: Yes you can, our smartphone app is simply called "Zmodo", and you can download the app for Apple or Android phones. Our older app was called Zsight and still works, but our newer app is called Zmodo.
