I'm pretty pleased with this NVR system from Zmodo and the price on sale ($420) was great for an 8 channel 8 camera system with a 2TB HD. I've had this system 2 months now and so far so good. The POE made installation a breeze. Tip, bride a friend to help you fish the wires through your eaves while you're in the attic running wires. I also ended up putting my NVR in a Honeywell alarm box to secure it and added a PC fan to keep temps cool. Resolution of the cameras is decent even at night as long as the camera has something to reflect off of. I have one camera pointing at my shop in the backyard about 65 feet away and the camera washes out. I'll have to add an IR floodlight to produce more light for the camera at night. Overall I think it's a great system for the money.

I bought to secure my property as there has been break ins. I have yet to install but the reviews looked good.

Tried to get it working for 2 days without any luck. No video display despite trying all the recommended steps. No tech support online and phone support is almost nonexistent, nobody answering on the listed numbers. Had to return product after 2 exhaustive days. I

I replaced my old 640tvl dvr with this Zmodo NVR and the clarity day and night is excellent. The setup is a no brainer, the mobile app is great and there is nothing about this system that was a fail. They include plenty of cables lengths that I was able to cover my entire property with cable to spare. Unlike my old 640TVL cameras, the night vision is almost if not better that the day vision. You will not be disappointed with this system. You have to make sure you weather proof the RJ-45 connections at the camera end since the pig tail is only about 6" but that can be done with silicon caulk or a small PVC work box from Home Depot.I've had this running for 3 months without a problem.

Cameras are very good quality, you can see very well at night. Have problems with recording. Will not format. When I called the toll free number, there number is not there to help you anymore. Went online to see if I could get a hold of them, but there live chat is not live chat. Thank god I got Geek squad from Best buy when I bought the product. They were able to figure out that my hard drive in the nvr is bad. So if you get this product make sure you get the extended warranty.
