I've had this coffee maker for a few weeks now. Very easy to set up out out of the box! Time, timer all easy and intuitive. Construction is good. I've had no problem with the carafe lining up with the bin and no "floods" of coffee. It is not a small machine and does take up a fair amount of counter space, but it does fit under the upper cabinets. Coffee brews quickly for 4 cups, it's hot, tastes good and stays warm in the stainless steel carafe for at least the morning. I don't know how long as I've not left the house with an empty carafe.

Easy to use, makes very good coffee. The thermos can be put directly on the table.

The carafe does not get heated while the coffee is being made. In order to have hot coffee in the morning I must fill the carafe with hot water the night before I use it. In the morning I then pour the water out. The carafe is now warm and ready to use. This is a nuisance.

After our longtime coffeemaker died, we bought a new model mass market coffeemaker. Big mistake. The coffee it brewed was weak and tasteless. Looked at reviews of dozens of brands and models online, including many high-end specialty brands. Then saw this one. It met all our criteria - thermal carafe, programmable for those occasional early morning get-ups, and easily accessible water and brew basket. This is a winner. Great tasting coffee, hot!, and the carafe is well designed. Keeps it hot for hours. No drip pouring. If I had any critiques, they are these: the LCD is not,backlit so it's difficult to see. And you have to manually reset (cancel) after each brew cycle. I think this will be our coffeemaker for many years to come.
