In short, a MUST OWN movie! This edition is amazing and packed with special features! If you have never seen this film before, definitely watch it. HOWEVER, if you are unfamiliar with Italian horror movies and are expecting your typical zombie movie, be ready to have your world rocked. Watch Dawn of the Dead (78) then watch this and tell me which one had the better gore! Machete to the head in Dawn or grave marker cross to the head in this film? The 4K restoration is divine, I'm seeing so much more detail in my favorite scenes. The whole movie looks and sounds great! The special features are wonderful and the box art and cover are glorious!

The motion picture photography of Zombie can now be fully appreciated with this version. The shower scene with its film images and film grain makes it look like you are watching the film for the first time -- and it seems it is being film projected! I love it!

The Italian classic looks amazing in this 4K transfer. What you can't really see is how cool the cover really is. Gorgeous.

This classic zombie film should be in every horror fan's collection. My favorite part of this film, and the aspect that really keeps you on the edge of your seat is the unbelievable score. Just hearing the music still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. The makeup is A+, best zombie makeup in any filmd I've ever seen. Also, lots of gore/graphic violence. Fulci's best film, hands down.

A must have for any zombie fan. raw and gritty like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre . Make-up and gore add a realistic quality to this zombie-fest This movie had me locking the doors and windows.

This is a must have movie. Lucio Fulci created brilliance here. Great Story, grat acting. Zombie effects are brutal yet well done. You also get a underwater zombie/shark fight. The eyeball scene is gripping as well. Enjoy this one.

brutal classic fulci's first horror movie. some of the best zombies of all time classic gore scenes

This movie has a good following behind it, but I personally think it's all in the name. Fulci's other zombie films are much better than this one. Sort of in the same vein as his 'City of the Living Dead', but much more boring and far less gore. This film moves very slowly, not as slow as the Italian zombie film; 'Let Sleeping Corpses Lie', but pretty close. The acting is sub par for this era, and the dialog will make you laugh. There is hardly any gore at all in this film, and the gore that is in it doesn't show until the last 20min., which is easily the best part of this film. I think the only thing I really enjoyed about this movie, aside from the end, is the cover art. The artwork they used for this release of the film looks great, as does the original cover art with the zombie head.

if you like zombie movies you'll love this one. the acting isn't the greatest but the zombies and gore are worth it. splinter scene will made chills go up and down your spine.
