    I purchased this based of Comcast saying it was approved for their 250MB service. I hooked it up and my speed dropped to 60MB from the 110MB I was getting from my previous Arris Surfboard. I ended up returning this Zoom after a Comcast rep came out and suggested the Motorola MB7420 which worked perfectly.

    This is an 8 channel modem which means it will support 120 download speed max. I have a 200 plan, so this will not work for me and has to be returned. If your speed plan is 120 or lower, this one works fine. The box label is not clear.

    This modem was exactly what I needed, its fast and reliable best part no more modem fees. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good and affordable modem. Easy setup just call your cable ISP provider, give them the modem MAC address (underneath the modem) and in no time you will be surfing the internet at top speed,

    I bought this item based on the reviews because I did not want to continue to pay Comcast $10 per month to rent a modem. I called Comcast to register the modem and for help with setup, but I talked to a Customer Service Rep as clueless as I am. I called again a few days later, and completed the setup in 5 minutes. Hint: If you have a Router, it must be turned off until the modem is set up and operating.
