True Flagship Killer. KILLER Specs, outperforms s7

So I actually do work for Best Buy as the Apple Mobility Master and mobile consultant. I love my iPhone, but I still have a passion for great unlocked android phones. I bought my Axon 7 to replace my Nexus 5X. The weak and power hungry LPS LCD screen and 2 GB of RAM on the 5X was not cutting it. This "Flagship Kiler" does not make many compromises in quality to explain its agressively low pricing. First off, the spec sheet is what you'd find on the $750-$950 factory unlocked Flagship phones such as the Samsungs, Lg's and HTC's. 820 Snapdragon, Quad HD SuperAmoled, and THE BEST SOUND YET HEARD ON ANY CELL PHONE! For the first time in the US, a phone has been released with two audio chips, and both are of the highest quality! The Dolby Atmos surround sound beats out my portable speaker and audio recording is what you'd find on professional recording equipment. The sound bars that cover both top and bottom short bezels beat out the beats boomsound and without a doubt. Btw, first android device to be Google Daydream certified! Beat that Samsung. The only minor issues is the non iluminated physical buttons (ZTE changed these just prior to the US release due to negative feedback on the International version's which had the on screen generic android variety). The second issue is the camera. Most phone companies have decided to lower the megapixel count on their flagship to allow more light in for low light photography. With that said, the Axon 7 comes equipped with a 20 MP back shooter which does great in daylight and has good optical image stabilization for 1080P recording (@ 60 or 30 frames per second). You can also choose to shoot video in 4K. Manual mode is where the camera shines as professional and skilled photographers can really optimize the camera to their liking. Future software updates may also help give the Axon better low light photo quality. The Axon comes with a clear TPU case and screen protector. And the build quality is fantastic. The design by Dreamworks (they also help design BMW's) is pure elegance and the phone feels just as high quality as any flagship out there. You may find difficulty in finding any quality screen glass protection, however Delta Shield HD Clear sells great HDX quality edge to edge protection and both Dbrand &a Slickwraps offer awesome skins! This is the best android phone I have ever had. I also own the Honor 8 (I got that for half price with accommodation) and I would still rather pay $400 for an Axon 7 over $200 for the Huwawei Honor 8. Although the Honor is no slouch either, I would take the Honor 8 over the Nexus 5X or 6P.

I upgraded to this phone after my Galaxy note 3 became laggy, did my research and found this ZTE Axon 7 had great usability for a phone half the price of the big brands that are $800+ I'm currently running it on Cricket. It works fantastic, got tired of Verizon wireless gouging me every month, I was paying over $90 a month and cut my bill in half! I'm very Happy that I bought the Axon 7 ever since day one that I got it. Do your research people, this phone has a 2 year warranty on it, unlike the others, which is a great selling point!

I purchased the ZTE Axon 7 because I wanted Flagship Features plus Daydream VR support, but couldn't justify paying $300 - $400 more for a Samsung S8+. I'm extremely pleased with my decision. The Google Daydream HMD (Head Mounted Display) is not as good as the Samsung Gear VR2 HMD, but a 3rd-party Homido V2 HMD is filling the gap, until ZTE's own HMD becomes available later this summer.

By far exceeds my expectations, I used to carry two cells... not any more, it has a dual sim and/or extra memory option. Excellent reception, beautiful design, impressive screen resolution, nice cameras, not so impressive in night shots. I missed the capacitive buttons.

This is a great smartphone and a great value for the money. I ordered it in August 2016 and received it September 6 2016. I have enjoyed using the phone alot. It is 10/26/2017 and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I am planning on keeping this phone for as long as it works. Pros Screen Battery life and quick charging Sound through headphones and stereo speakers Reliable and durable. Regular system updates Dual SIM Price Negatives No on screen navigation buttons To summarize, I have used this phone as my only cell phone for 13 months and have used it for web surfing, listening to music, phone calls, texts, and games and have been pleased with it's performance. I also use the phone for gps navigation and love the 5.5 inch screen and the stability and speed with which the phone moves through screens. Quick charge 3.0 is extremely fast and a big selling point of this device. ZTE got this one right.

I have had the ZTE axon 7 (mine is gold) for about a month now. Here are my thoughts. Fingerprint sensor: very fast and accurate. only missed my finger read a few times but I think it was more of me not having my finger on it properly Feel in hand: I would say this phone is on the larger end for midsize phones but its not too bad. My hands are defintely not big but I can still handle it with overall ease. I consistently have to use 2 hands to comfortable use it if I want to focus using it. Speed: its very fast, not highend flagship fast but for the $400 i dont have any complaints. I have started to notice some lag as I personalize the phone with a bunch of apps and multimedia files but still very smooth. I consistenly get 4G LTE on this phone in southern california (I travel consistenltly between the Inland Empire and San Diego) UI: There is an option to have the user interface or the operating system to run MiFavor(ZTE) or stock android. I like stock android so I choose to run it. As far as I can tell, its very close to stock android. Battery: Battery life so far has been great. On a regular day of use (without heavy Pokemon Going) I reach about 15-20% by the time get ready for bed around 10 pm. The quick charge 3.0 gets me back to full in about 1:30 hours. With heavy Pokemon Going I reach the 15% at around 6-7 pm. Camera: Im not very knowledgable on cameras but the pictures the axon 7 takes are defintely detailed and clear for general purposes. and it focuses and takes the pictures very fast also. *The main selling point of this phone is its audio speakers. I do0n't know all the specific details of the HiFi and other audio tech jargon, but the audio from music, youtube, and facebook, is plenty loud and clear. Overall I am very happy with this phone. I would have picked the Oneplus3 to try first however oneplus3 is limited to ATT & Tmobile networks and I didn't want to get stuck with my choices of cellular networks. Also the oneplus3 didnt have an external microsd option and I really wanted that, which the ZTE axon 7 does have it.. Although I am beginning to question whether I really need the microsd expansion because I have yet to insert my external microsd card into my axon 7 and have only used up 15gb out of the 64 gb storage. Only time will tell. But yeah im very happy with the Axon 7, its just an awesome phone for the price.

I purchased the Axon 7 a week ago and have had sufficient time to get my general thoughts about the phone. Pros: Screen Battery Design Speakers Quick Charge 3.0 Cons: Software (buggy) Camera (front and back) My experience with the Axon 7 has been mostly positive. It was difficult to get this phone as I had some issues with Best Buy in Timonium, Maryland, but they quickly resolved everything. Now, getting back to the phone. This phone is solid for $400. I had the Nexus 6p and I actually enjoy the build, feel, and overall experience more than I did with my 6P. Battery life has been solid for me and quick charge 3.0 is absolutely amazing. The phone will charge from 50% to 100% in under an hour which is a huge plus. Now for the bad stuff. The camera isnt very good and in low light settings, its terrible to say the least. The good thing is ZTE has already pushed a update to me and other Axon 7 users to fix connectivity issues that I was experiencing with AT&T. ZTE's software isnt my favorite but I am warming up to it. I had a few hiccups, but ZTE's lastest update fixed all the small things I was experiencing. Finally, I would recommend this phone to anyone who doesnt want to pay the crazy $700+ for a phone. I'll be keeping mine even though I have been tempted to purchase the Note 7.

It's not as good as a Samsung Galaxy but honestly this phone comes close. This is an excellent phone for an affordable price. Bought this in March 2017 and I haven't had a problem with it. It's easy to use, camera quality is satisfactory, front facing speakers are loud, call quality is good, and I haven't had major lag issues (in general, phone works fast). I love tje built in 64GB memory, and it has great battery life. I only charge it once a day and I use my phone quite heavily (social media, games, streaming music). If you're on a budget but still want a powerful phone, you should consider this product.

I decided to buy the ZTE axon 7 after lots of research online. I needed a new phone but I didn't wanna fork over the $700 for the galaxy s7. Then I came across this phone. For $400 I got the phone, headphones, a flexible case and a charger for fast charge and a micro USB adapter. It was definitely a good deal. This phone had basically all the same features and specs as the galaxy s7 but for way cheaper. I've always stuck with Samsung but this phone has made me switch. It has a great camera, has the ability to use a micro SD card and 2 different sim cards, the design is nice and sleek, and the battery life is phenomenal. I can charge my phone from 0 to fully charged using the fast charger provided in an hour and 45 minutes and it will last a day and a half even with heavy usage. I'm head over heels with this phone.

This phone has the speed, the agility, a good battery that lasts all day and good connectivity to Wi-Fi and data. The storage capacity is large so that's nice as I'm always downloading apps. Calls have not dropped. Messages come reliably. Fingerprint scanner makes my life a bit simpler because I'm spending less time putting in login info. The camera is really nice at daytime and alright or average at night. The only thing I don't like about the phone is the lack of cases available for it. I like beautiful things so I love cases. It's alright though, the phone is nice. I also have not felt it get hot yet even during heavy usage. This phone is half the price of the other phones on display at the store but does equally well or better than those phones. I like it and I'm not upgrading for a long time.

I purchased two Axon 7's (one gold, one grey). I activated these on TracFone using their BYOP kit for AT&T compatible phones. Activation required a number port from TracFone-Verizon to TracFone-AT&T -- which took place without incident. The phones can be activated on Verizon, but currently it requires using a a SIM card already using Verizon network, because the phone is not (yet) white-listed by Verizon. So I decide to avoid that hoop and go with AT&T as the underlying carrier. I can always switch back to Verizon if they ever get off their duff and white-list the phone. I didn't have any problems activating the phones, and everything works on them, Axon has done a really good job of helping the new user set up the phone with help instructions when you first fire up the phone. The fingerprint reader is really fast. The only hitch I ran into was looking for the fingerprint option under the Security settings -- its not there - it is in the main list of Settings, not under another Settings group. I called ZTE customer service, who politely showed me where in the very excellent 160 page User Manuel that is covered. Speaking of which -- there is no printed User Manual for the Axon 7 -- You download it in PDF form from the ZTEUSA.com website. I usually write a lot about things not covered in User Manuals, but in this case, there is very little not already well covered. If you haven't done it yet, download the manual and read it. I ran Antutu on these bad boys and get a consistent score around 130,000. This is a very fast phone -- buttery smooth on transitions and scrolling. Gamers should love this phone. Pokemon Go players should be able to catch more Pokemon. It is also a very classy looking phone with its ergonomic curves and super AMOLED screen (made by Samsung, by the way.) Besides being really fast, and having just about every new feature a phone could have, and also being both GSM and CDMA compatible, this phone also has the best warranty in the Android world -- 2 years, a fixed. accidental damage deductible of $80, and an advanced replacement option (requires a credit card hold of $400 which is not charged unless you don't return the old phone with 25 days -- very fair.) This very excellent warranty service is a primary inducement to buy the phone with out worry. The bare phone might be little slippery in your hands, so you will want a case for them. Right now I have the transparent gel case on that comes in the box. Since my teens are girls, I did not dare pre-order another case without getting their input. But now that I have their blessing, I have a couple of cases on their way from China (they are ALL made in China, and it is much cheaper to order from China, though it takes a longer shipping time.) These phones are early Xmas presents for my two teens. I bought early because I was afraid to wait until Black Friday in November, as I kept seeing the vendors running out of inventory. And I don't see this model going on special or at a lower price.

I've owned this phone for 4 days and so far it's been incredible. The audio quality from the two 32 bit/192 KHz DAC's is amazing. Dolby Atmos adds a new dimension of sound. It's not pure Android but pretty close. The added features are actually useful such as double tap to wake up. The fingerprint scanner can be used to take photos. I love the MiFavor options such as the floating back button that offers lots of options by sliding it or long pressing. With top of the line specs such as the Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM as well as the twin DAC's this phone offers unbeatable quality for a bargain price. Get one if you can!

I got this to replace my Zenfone 2 on T-Mobile when its screen died. So far it's been a good choice. My usual tasks (gaming, e-reader, texting, gps) all run without a hitch. The UI is reasonably close to stock Android if you turn off ZTE's default MiFavor interface. As a general rule, I consider that a plus, but that's an individual preference. Unlike many competitors it takes a micro-SD card (goes in the 2nd sim card slot, so you can't have 2 sims and the SD card). Having an extra 128GB of on-board storage let's me take my movies/shows/music for long trips without worrying about making hard choices. Battery life is very good and is made even better with the industry standard Quick Charge 3.0 charger. Getting the new phone on T-Mobile was just a matter of dropping my sim card from the old phone in. (Yes--I did have to do the trim of my micro-sim to nano-sim size, but that went without a hitch.) While the phone does support Band 12, they are still working on getting it certified with T-Mobile (as of 10/3/2016). When I talked to ZTE, they said they expected to have full support with a software patch by the end of 2016. Overall, I'm very glad I made this purchase.

It's a great phone for the money. Especially if you can get it on sale. I got this one for my dad after enjoying the grey one myself. I like the metal body and the speakers are really great for video and music. The daydream functionality is a nice bonus but it's not really there yet. With a phone that close to your face you probably need a 4k display to really enjoy VR. I got my dad to watch some episodes of The Rifleman on Hulu in VR lol. The software updates have been good so far. Had an issue once with some settings not displaying but a reset fixed it. It's fast. Plays games well. Dolby Atmos is pretty awesome but only works when it's using it's own speakers or wired headphones (no bluetooth). It's aluminum but the front speaker grills are plastic. It's like 2 oz heavier than most non-metal phones. I had an old microsd card go bad in it. I don't know if that's the fault of the phone or the card. Quick Charge 3.0 is pretty awesome. My dad lost his quick charge charger and I had to get him a new one. Keeping up with it's battery use seemed to be too much for him without the quick charge function. It's nice to see phones like this come out that are premium flagship style phones without contracts and at a reasonable price. We just love these phones.

I had been on the fence about purchasing this phone for a while but am glad I did. I watched and read all the reviews I could and the only real negative anyone talked about was the camera's low light performance. I don't take a lot of pictures but this still bothered me, but figured i'd try it out anyway. Overall this phone is a solid performer; it's quick, speakers sound awesome, battery lasts me all day, build quality/weight feel good and the screen is amazing. Unless you take lots of pictures in low light I would highly recommend it.

I bought this after keeping an LG flagship for 2 years, and I loved that phone. With that said this ZTE Axon 7 has more features than my LG. For starters, the front speakers on this phone sounds amazing, especially watching YouTube. Did I mention the price? Half of the price of flagships and has all of the bells and whistles. The battery in this phone is so much better than I was expecting as well! I can use it 2 days between charges. Some times the finger scanner doesn't work for me, but I think I'm beginning to get the hang of how to do it, so that might just be my issue. The only true problem I have with this phone is the lack of accessories for it, because it isn't a flagship it doesn't get the attention of some more well known but lesser phones.

After researching many cell phones as an alternative to the Galaxy S6 and iphone7, I came across this phone because of its technical specs and price. Continuing on my research, no other phone seemed to match its features, size, etc.... I finally bought this at Best Buy from a salesman whom I worked with before when considering a laptop, and after explaining my interest and specs about this little known phone, I purchased it... and loved it ever since. It took a little getting used to, which was part of the fun, but I do not regret it. The fingerprint reader works flawlessly, camera settings once adjusted took great low-light pictures, photos are fantastic, no shutter lag and which can be taken by pressing your finger against the fingerprint reader which is a smart functionality. all my email accounts are accessible, and the settings are to be explored but are amazing. I initially used two SIM cards with one being from my old phone that had my contacts. I just learned how to transfer data to my main SIM card, and will replace the old SIM Card slot with a memory card to increase storage capacity. This phone is awesome and I absolutely love it. Haven't even explored connecting to my computer for documents. This phone is a little productive machine. I was looking for a case...it's best to go to their website and purchase one for $15. Delivery is a matter of three or four days. This phone is a surprise contender to the more expensive Galaxy and iphone phones. Despite not receiving a lot of advertising, do yourself a favor and explore this phone. I highly recommend purchasing it.
