Solid performer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone after a lot of research online through several different sites and YouTube reviews. I really like this phone, not that it doesn't have it's small issues like most phones, the Screen is really crisp and bright with good color saturation the speakers which were hyped up to be amazing really are.... Amazing. The user interface is OK, very close to stock Android. Most of the issues the reviews bring up have been rectified through software updates. Camera is much better than I expected, notifications can be put on lock screen without having to press bell icon and LTE and Wi-Fi signal is good. One small drawback is I have yet to find a tempered glass screen protector to fit properly because of the rounded edges of the screen. I use a good clearpoly screen protector. Not many phones have a two year warranty like this one. And there have been many updates, it seems ZTE is listening to its customers.

Great phone for 400$ if you compromise with camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone to be true is very awesome. I used it for 5 days till now and was satisfied with battery, performance, call quality, reception signal goes weak in few areas(where it is expected). The very best part is battery, I recharged on beginning of day and it went on till end of day with 30-40% left. The screen is awesome and audio is really appreciated. Fast charger also works good, it recharges in around 1hr 15 min. Handset feels sturdy and feels good in hand. Not happy with the camera which everyone had already mentioned in reviews(not bad I will say but not much appreciated). OTG works good with a separately purchase USB type C OTG adapter, not with the converter provided in box. The best difference between one plus 3 and ZTE Axon 7 is in USA we have a service support available for ZTE and the front facing speakers are really awesome. Not a hard core gamer so no reviews regarding to the game but yes there is no lag in other day to day usage. Feel free to as any more questions if anybody interested.

Flagship quality at a low price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this phone up after a fair amount of research. I considered Motorola, LG, Honor, and Alcatel. My wife uses an iPhone 7; both kids use Android phones; and I moved from a Windows phone. So far, I am very impressed with this phone's performance. The screen is great, the audio is better than any phone I have used, and the modifications to Android are very light (and somewhat beneficial.) The camera is fast and takes nice pictures. The live images work well. In general, I can't see spending a few hundred more for a Samsung, LG, etc. Unless someone must have iOS, I can't see spending the $400 more to get the iPhone plus. In general, it's not just a good phone for the price, it is an excellent phone in its own right.

A Good Buy for T Mobile Cust. Nougat 7.1.1
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Latest Updates support WiFi Calling and VoLTE and Band 12, must have in my book. Nougat 7.1.1, ZTE update support is excellent so far. Solid performer for Sub $400 Phone, 820 Cpu, 4Gb Ram, 64 Gb storage. Camera's a pretty good shooter with RAW support, prefer the 20mp detail over the 12mp low light cameras. SD now supports 256gb. TMO just bought some 600Mhz spectrum, wont need a flagship until the new radios are installed.

Great Device, Especially for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone about 2 weeks ago and have been very pleased with its performance and quality. It is very fast, has an excellent screen and the audio is really impressive -- you won't need a Bluetooth speaker with this phone. Call quality is very good and the dual front mounted speakers are very helpful to facilitate use as a speakerphone. The fingerprint unlock is very quick (essentially instant, 1/2 second) and the camera has been very good, even in low light where others have mentioned it suffered. Regarding software, it updated to Nougat 7.1.1. immediately and perhaps it cured some of the earlier issues. The MiFavor UI is very light and is very easy to navigate (I was a complete newcomer to Android). This is a dual SIM phone and I use it that way. Alternatively, the second SIM slot can be used for a SIM card or SD memory card -- take your choice. The on-board 64GB of memory is plenty (I have more than 80 apps (all major corporation type apps) installed and so far I have used only 22.6GB of the 64GB of memory -- more than 40 GB still free. Battery life has been very good -- typical day of use (pretty heavy but not video or gaming) and it usually has plenty of battery (greater than 40%) at the end of the day. It has the fast charging 3.0 and will go from 1/3rd to almost fully charged in 30 mins. I am very happy with this phone and it offers flagship performance at half the price of an iPhone or Samsung equivalents.

Slim elegance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been on this phone for about 4 days and my impression is fantastic. I don't switch phones that often and had been looking for a replacement for my S3. I checked out the new S8 and liked it but thought it was a lot of coin for a phone. I found the Axon after looking around and finally found one on display at BB. I really wanted: slim, large screen, and 8xx series Snapdragon. The Axon offered all of that plus a certain fit in my hand that so many other phones did not. I'm not a pro camera person but love the camera and its effects. The one-touch fingerprint unlock on the rear is well thought out and has been trouble free. The radio and the wireless on the phone are fantastic. The S3 that I left was not able to get above 9Mb/s on LTE in my neighborhood. The Axon is getting 38Mb/s. This is probably due to a LTE change from AT&T that changed how much bandwidth they were giving on the older channels that the S3 supported. Also the Axon supports 5G wifi which the S3 did not. Other nice amenities are the screen protector, USBC adaptor, and case that came with the phone. Have more to learn about this phone and will update once I get more experience. For now though- very happy with this phone!

Spectacular phone and value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought and am using the Axon 7. I am moving from a Galaxy S4 which gave me years of great service. This phone is fantastic, it is very fast, a beautiful piece of hardware, and comes with Android 6.01 installed. The new android Marshmallow takes a bit of getting used to, but otherwise the phone operates flawlessly. The 4 gb of Ram and 64 GB of storage, plus I use an additional 64 GB MicroSD carrd, more memory than you will ever need. This phone for $400 is a spectacular value and compares to phones costing twice as much. I recommend this to all Android users in need of a new phone.

Unbelievable that a $399 phone can be this good!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was holding out for a Note 7, but I thought I would give this phone a try since it pretty much has the same specs as a Galaxy S7 and Note 7. I am impressed with the build quality and the screen quality of this phone. It doesn't have a stylus but they do give you a plastic case, headphones, and a micro USB converter. I can't even tell the difference between the 5.5" AMOLED screen on this phone vs. the screens on the Note 7 and S7. ZTE has really gone all out with this phone to take on Samsung at half the price.

Never buy a ZTE product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a ZTE Axon 7 around Christmas 2016. Didn't started using it until mid January. About a month later I've accidentally dropped my phone and the screen cracked 02-21-2017 Called ZTE customer support and explained I need the screen to be replaced, as well as the upper speaker, distorting the sound while the volume is on high. Paid for the repair. Received a confirmation email and shipping label. 03-18-2017 I brought the phone to FedEx store to be shipped to ZTE. It was fully functional and I was using it for almost a month with the cracked screen. 03-24-2017 The phone has been delivered to ZTE at Grapewine, TX . Signed by DDIWIKAR at 1:41 PM 04-03-2017 Since I haven't received any updates for the progress of the repair and found out the website, where I can check it online is down, I decided to call ZTE Axon customer service. I was told told my phone is unrepearable. I asked why, since the only problem was the screen top glass layer and the phone was working fine. The representative told me I have to wait up to 48 hours, so that they can ask the department responsible for the repair. I agreed to wait. Interestingly, nobody ever contacted me in any way to let me know the phone is unrepearable. No email, no phone call. 04-05-2017 48 have passed by and again nobody contacted me to let me know what is the reason for my phone to be unrepearable. I called Customer Service again. They told me they are wating for some pictures from the service department. I asked what pictures, since I've never requested any pictures. Anyway, I was told I need to wait up to another 48 hours for some pictures. I was already frustrated, as you can guess. I asked to be updated by phone call or email if there is any progress on my case. 04-07-2017 Another 48 hours passed by. Nobody contacted me again. I called . asked to speak with supervisor or manager. The call was transferred to a supervisor. I explained the whole story to her. She told me the phone is unrepearable because the motherboard of the phone is damaged. Not sure who's finding was that but I was shocked. If I sent the phone in fully working condition, I thought, and after that long time of waiting, somebody tells me the motherboard is damaged, which is obviously impossible, what impression I will be left with? No doubt, it's a pure lie. Or really bad mistake of the technician who dealt with my phone. I thought maybe the technician damaged the board while attempting the repair. She also told me it's Friday evening and there is nothing more she can tell me or do during the weekend, which I understand, and promised to escalate the issue and overall take care of it. 04-08-2017 I decided I will call again and speak with a different representative, in hope to find out some more details, since I figured there is a lack of communication between the different departments and representatives in this company, as well as lack of information they have access to. I made a call. I was told this time the problem is that my phone is gray and they have no gray color screens in stock for this phone. I was also told I will be put in a priority waiting list for that part. That was a whole new story. I was told I'll be taken good care of, but best is to call next Friday, which was almost a week ahead. And I agreed again. What else I can do. First story was "unrepearable". Second story was "pictures". Third one "motherboard" . Fourth story was "no gray screens in stock". I was a little suspicious to the last story, since the screen, I know, is glass. No color on it. The speaker grills on the top and on the bottom are gray, but they are separate parts. I have found myself watching videos on YouTube of how to replace the screen on Axon 7, in order to explain to myself of what might have gone wrong with my phone after I heard the "motherboard" story. This is how I know about the grills. 04-10-2017 I have received an email that the phone is being repaired and will be shipped to me by the end of the day. I was really surprised nd happy! Honestly, I couldn't believe it! All of a sudden the motherboard was repaired/replaced/it was never been damaged, and the gray screen was stocked up. I'm guessing thanks to the supervisor I spoke with on the 7-th of April. 04-12-2017 The phone arrived at my home. Again an issue. Happiness has turned to an anger. The SIM tray is missing, which makes this phone only an extra weight to my drawer with useless items. Sure enough, called again Customer support. They assured me by Friday I should receive a SIM tray. Separate shipment, another 2 days. I'm surprised I wasn't told 48 hours this time. 04-15-2017 The SIM tray was promised to arrive yeterday, by the end of the day. Never arrived. Called Customer support today again. They told me it will be here on Tuesday next week (04-18-2017). Bottom line: The phone is ok, but once you need it repaired for any reason, there are no aftermarket parts available, it's hard to find even a decent screen protector. If you send it to ZTE for repair, be prepared to spend time for dozen calls to customer service and at least that many emails. Also forget about your phone for at least a month. I do not recommend any ZTE phone for that reason!

Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical to buy a ZTE.. But this phone is great. I have had a galaxy s5 for two years. I read complaints about the camera but it takes better pictures than my galaxy. Everything has synced seamlessly. It even picks up Netflix that I have cast from my laptop and works as a remote. I don't have Netflix or chromecast installed on my phone so wasn't expecting it but nice especially when I need to get up. The screen is gorgeous and the gestures are cool. It seems to be stock Android. So glad I decided I was not going to spend 700.00 on a phone. This phone was half the price and just as good. Does everything I need plus some. Can't wait to show it off at Christmas. To those who said I shouldn't buy a ZTE..

Great value to me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this phone is an excellent value at $400. I bought two. I think it is an even better value while it is on sale for $350. It has great audio. It’s front facing speakers are powerful and give good sound for rings, notifications, phone and speakerphone. The display is good (particularly when coupled with the IQ Shield matte screen protector), and I use it as an e-reader. ZTE keeps updating the software, is responsive to the community, and I expect the Android Nougat download to be ready soon. For my full review, see here: https://community.zteusa.com/message/70200

not good for traveling with T-Mobile
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally .. a stateside dual sim phone with VoLTE... and wifi calling ... well 2 out of three isn't bad.. or is it ? dual sim .. check VoLTE .. check wifi calling ... not (yet) .. rumors stated it would work out of the box, but apparently this is still a work in progress for a future software update from ZTE... OK, I can live with that, so I began using the phone , and tried really hard to like it .. but ... it will be going back. ... sitting in one place, playing games or listening to music, I suppose this phone would be great (except for the camera.. which is surprisingly as bad as other people have reported). However, if you have TMO, and travel and actually use the phone as a ... phone .... or have questions for the Google lady .. you may want to reconsider purchasing this device. The Axon 7 drops one tower and either doesn't pick up the next tower without a reset (reboot-airplane mode on/off- LTE discovery app tower reset), or grabs one with a weak signal, or one from a different carrier even if there is a TMO tower in range. I have spent days watching this happen with the LTE Discovery app ... $400 Axon 7, sitting 2 inches from a $69 Samsung Grand Prime from Wal-Mart .. no cover/case on either. Grand Prime holds and regains strongest signal every time . ZTE forums confirm my experience - https://community.zteusa.com/message/51320 I had the same issue with the LG V10 . Very sad to have TMO tell me I should just use the LTE discovery app as needed on a $700 device .. and now the same response from ZTE support as they have knowledge of this issue, but don't know if it can or will be addressed with software updates. I have 5 more days to return the phone ... and am even more disgruntled that Best Buy has now initiated a $35 restocking fee for phones.

Good phone for the price but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great speaker and camera (back and front), nice metal body contour, stylish look phone and good customer service. The only thing I don't like with the phone is the buttons because they're small no backlit not embossed which hardly can be seen or touch in the dark while traveling.

Almost, but think I will return for v20
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Samsung like display. Terrific front speakers. 2 year warranty is awesome. It was my first phone without user replaceable battery. microSD was essential for me. But when I got home I was disappointed to find no slimport or MHL support. Main purpose of microSD was movie and video editing on big screen. So I will return for LG v20. Terrific phone otherwise. Great value.

Great hardware, neutered Android OS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would rate this 5 stars if they didn't neuter Android so much. Battery life is great, probably due to the neutered Android. By neutered I mean they took a way many of the personalization options usually available with an Android phone. The phone is crazy fast and like a handheld computer, but not great if you want to use it for business due to the lack of ease of personalization.

Great specs, great looks, good implementation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great specs - large AMOLED screen, fast processor, lots of memory, 2 SIM slots (so you can have two numbers simultaneously on the same phone - even from 2 different networks!), fingerprint reader on back means no more manual password entry, great camera. Great looks - aluminum frame, minimalist button treatment, responsive touchscreen. Good implementation - The font can be selected HUGE but the home screen and most apps are in tiny default font size - kinda defeats the purpose! Supposed to be Google VR Daydream compatible but the power and volume buttons are positioned so that they interfere with the elastic strap which clamps the phone into the headset no matter which way you orient the phone - oops! Btw, it won't actually be able to load the Daydream app until sometime in January 2017 at earliest when Android Nougat is hopefully rolled out to this phone.
