There's a reason you can't find a functioning one of these sound bars at a Best Buy store. They simply sound better than their higher priced BOSE and SONOS competitors and at a fraction of the cost. That said, this is an exceptionally solid product with beautiful and rich sound including mind boggling base. This may not suit you if you're looking for a true home theater experience including booming base that vibrates the rafters but it definitely delivers beautifully balanced sound and there are many adjustments on a well designed remote so you can customize away. Their customer service is US based (Massachusetts) and they are professional technician level so really efficient and helpful. The device is heavy, rock solid and aluminum so the sound reproduction is pure and authentic. Could not be happier.

Wanted a sound bar without a separate subwoofer that still had good sound. Listened to a Bose, and the Best Buy employee directed me to this one. Couldn't be happier. Great sound, enough bass to satisfy, and super easy set up. Liked it so much I bought another one for our living room TV.

This sound bar provides excellent voice clarity. Installation instructions are descriptive and easy to follow .

Let’s start with the ACCUVOICE, my god it makes everything ten times better. Forget the Samsung, LG, or Vizio soundboards. They don’t offer the quality of sound and clarity of dialogue. Fits perfectly in front of my 50” Samsung without blocking the anything.

I originally bought this for my dad he had some hearing problems and this helped a lot. very good sound and also has a setting for people with limited hearing.

I researched diligently for a sound system that would provide me with the best in VOICE ENHANCEMENT via a center channel. It had to be a 3.1 system configuration. So far can not get the Sony remote to mesh with sound bar remote at 100%. That's OK, I'll use both. The subwoofer is built-in. The sound is between good and great, but not Superior. That's OK too. Bought it on sale so the value matches.

Nice soundbar, but size is quite large compared to surround sound we had. We had to set the TV on wood blocks to raise it up so the remote works. :(

Sounds Terrific, all good, except the remote control volume does not work with the Dish remote control volume. You need to turn one control down, not off.

I bought this due to hearing disability. This soundbar did as the salesperson stated. Volume does not have to be blasting to hear sounds on tv anymore. It also seems to equal out voices to music. I was originally opposed to buying because of cost but am now thankful to have purchased it. It is well worth the money

This sound bar is great, enhances the dialogue, keeps the volume at a steady level, no loud blasting background noise or music like most sound bars, and it sounds crystal clear, even at full volume, it's definitely the sound bar to have if you live in a apartment

Best of its Class. Outstanding sound! With the Zbox SB500 sound bar I was amazed by the quality of the sound. The price so much affordable than the Sono's option, so i decided to give it a try. Once at home I installed it on top of the TV and the sound is incredible. Volume TV at 8, and Blue Ray or Netflix at 11. The bass is incredible. For best sound quality I set up accuvoice at sd3, output leveling at noOL, bass 3. Treble HI 2, surround to sd 3. Sound is Crystal clear, bass is outstanding, beyond expectations. 3D sound is a plus, can hear sounds with this bar I did not hear with my previous sound system when watching the same movies You wont get dissapointed. You yube videos is like being at the concert. Try these units, and watch You tube Flash mobs, watch movies in Netflix Sounds great! When reading other comments I found someone added a powered Yamaha subwofer, so I researched online for an affordable unit to get even more bass to my Zbox SB500 sound bar so i decided to research a subwofer and found the Dayton Audio SUB-800 8-Inch 80 Watt Powered for $99.95 so i added it. Once hooked it to the TV headphone with the wire that came from the soundbar, set Gain and Crossover at 3/4 you won't believe these two units combined how great music or movie listening experience you get, very satisfied and at 3/4 of Sono's price. Pro: Amazing bass improve sound. Cons: does not come with a Basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA Adapter Audio Stereo Cable. No remote control that you can use. Your living Room will never be the same!

This bar adds to the whole package for my living room sounds great the extra punch . 1 clean feature with several abilities provides extra punch for xbox gaming , and movies . Plus the bonus of a Bluetooth for listening to our mobile devices.

Our entire family loves this soundbar!! We have a large greatroom and had to turn the volume up to 40 on our previous Toshiba---now, 12 for TV & 20 for most movies---The Accuvoice feature is great for my hearing loss, and even our 28 year old daughter likes it--so, it's not just for us ancients!! Easy to set up, great remote, well worth the extra money!! You usually get what you pay for, & I consider this ZVOX a bargain!!

Decent price for the amount of power this sound bar provides. Bass is pretty loud. Not a fan of the audio input options (wish there were more or at least an HDMI input), but it at least supports auto power on if hooked up via digital optical. The additional settings aren't well documented (specifying the position, TV, anything in the additional options menu), but can be vaguely found through googling.

My wife's hearing is not great so she wold always turn on the CC. This speaker is the answer to that. The dialogue is heightened to separate it from the background music and SFX. There are several settings and bass and treble adjustments. Yes it will sound tinnier than a standard speaker but that is the vocals coming through. Listen before you buy.

I was not able to listen to an in-store demo before buying. I read reviews and learned that this bar helps people who are having trouble hearing voices clearly when watching TV. I am truly amazed and satisfied. It is hard to watch other TVs that aren’t attached to this bar. It also sounds great when listening to music CDs.

Plenty of bass from the built in sub, great sound coming from one bar. Very pleased with this.

I had difficulty hearing some of the voices on various TV shows. We tried headphones and determined that they were not comfortable and my current TV could only handle one set of headphones at a time. With the sound bar all viewers benefit from the better sound quaility. This sound bar has ore features than other sound bards,including surround settings and outpur leveling.
