The Bose 5 improves on the TV speakers and is especially helpful with dialogue.

we purchased this unit because we had a hard time hearing tv shows with loud backround music. Zvox claimed that their voice system would help . this type of situation. After setting the system to clear voice the show voices were not clear and the backround music was louder than the regular tv speakers.

This product works for smaller rooms, but I would not recommend it if you want true surround. Good price point but not as good as sonos

I just moved to a condo and didn't have room for my big surround system. So I started out buying the Sony 2.1 sound base being I had just bought a 55 inch Sony 850C tv a couple months before. After un boxing, first thing I noticed was nice build quality and the glass top was nice. While setting it up I found it wasn't all that user friendly given all the different adjustments and all done threw the remote. Sound quality was good but found if I was streaming anything like on Netflix or on demand I was always turning it up then down etc.The change over from dialog and action was terrible. So back a to BB and upgraded to the Bose solo 15. Got it home, to small for my TV. Wasn't wide enough for my tv stand. So back to BB. One of the guys told me about Zvox. Never heard of them. None on display to hear. Read reviews and thought I'd take the chance and try one. None of the BB stores stock the 570 but had the 670. So I bought it. Got it home, set up was a breeze and it sounded awsome In every respect. Nice even responses easy to use and set up. Surround sounds great given this is a 3.1 system ( right, left, center channels and a sub) which makes all the difference. loving it. The problem I had was the size. Just to big! Which now brings me to the 570. I called Zvox and talked to a guy a there to ask about the differences between the 2. (570/670) The rep was very friendly, helpful and spoke clear English so I could understand him unlike other (Sony) places I called for info. After talking with him and playing with the Zvox 670 I was very confident in ordering the 570. I'm sitting here as I speak listing to my 570 and so glad I bought it. Sounds so good and clear. Love it. beats them all including the more expensive ones.

I like this unit a lot. Shipment was prompt. The instructions were a model of step-by-step clarity; it took about 5 minutes to unpack the unit, set it up, and key in the remote control features I wanted.
The sound is very good. The zvox gives you 3 levels of surround sound from which to choose as well as other options, such as accentuating dialogue (which works very well). Sound output is very good as well. I'm going to get a second one for a t.v. in another room.

Great Stereo Sound

I liked the design of an all in one sound bar as opposed to a sound bar and separate woofer. Great stereo sound from the speaker and eliminates the need for hooking your TV up to stereo system. Saw three movies thus far and the sound was really nice with great bass sounds and the dialog was clear.

Looking for soundbase this is it...

Priority was to put the kitchen TV on something to save room, thus the soundbase and a good one at that. You will love the small high quality nice touch remote, about the size of a cigarette pack. The unit is pricey but you can tell high quality construction and various sound programming features that might interest you .But I find the accuvoice feature too tiny and muffles the rest of the sound spectrum and the output leveling does what it's supposed to do but again compromises the volume of the entire sound spectrum. I like to hear everything natural so I leave these features off. Surround sound setting sd2 is the best mix . There is no HDMI but optical works well enough. Ditch the one in the box and get a real one.The 1 5inch base is more than enough base so I set it at 2 and highs to 3. The bright orange display from the remote appears out of the speaker grill is quite nice. I love my soundbase.

Not a sound bar but a huge base

Why do they call this a soundbar. It is a base that measures 151/2 deep and over 26" long. This is not to be mounted or placed in front of a TV.
It is huge. Calling this a soundbar is misleading. I wish I would have known that before ordering. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. Otherwise the sound is good.
