This is a great product that has markedly increased our enjoyment of TV viewing. It wasn't exactly straight forward to hook up to our LG TV but their customer service tech support was outstanding and courteous and had me up and running in no time. The only issue I'm having is there is a slight out of sync dialogue issue when watching NetFlix. Other than that the improvement in overall sound, especially speech, is great. Also, like the fact that it's designed to to be placed under the TV rather than having to place it in front of or hang it as you would with the usual sound bar design.

I bought this because the 10w speakers in my LG 55LM4600 couldn't handle even normal volumes without buzzing and distorting. Setup was easy...pretty much plug and play. The flexibility of audio connections (coaxial, optical, RCA, 1/8" mini) is a "nice to have" in my case (since all my audio gets routed through the TV, and then a single connection to the ZVOX). The sound is very good. It's not a home theater setup, but it doesn't pretend to be, either. It does provide a nice, full-range sound, with a small footprint. There are settings on the remote to tailor the sound a bit (eq, speech emphasis, etc) , which I took advantage of. I don't even know how loud it will go...I think I've had it up half-way at one point and you couldn't hear anything (or anyone) else in the room! It was loud...and clear! The one (and only) thing I wasn't crazy about is the look of the ZVOX. It's a VERY well-built case, but it reminds me of a an electronic project box. In some ways, the simplicity is attractive, but whenever I adjust the volume and see the large amber LED's, I think "very basic". But then I remember that I didn't buy it to look good, I bought it to SOUND good...and that, it does!

Was looking for a compact all in one bar that delivered excellent sound, "stage" (left and right), with decent bass (don't need booming sub-woofer with two small kids) and good construction. CONSIDERABLE upgrade over TV speakers (poorly designed/under-powered downward facing speakers). No latency issues utilizing included optical input (nice bonus not having to purchase) and no rattle from nice MDF board construction. BB price-matched Amazon and saved me another $20ish. Very happy with purchase.

I purchased this unit in lieu of buying a Bose sound-bar system as I didn't want to pay $400 for a sound bar and boy was that a great decision!! The ZVOX unit works perfectly in my master bedroom and fills the room with crisp, clear sound. It sounds great with direct tv programming and even sounds better when watching DVDs. Jurassic Park sounded almost as good as it does on my high-end Sony AV Receiver in the family room. I'm very impressed with the ease of set-up and use. Plug in one cable and you're good to go! The ZVOX Z-Base 220 is the best product I have purchased all year! I bought it on-line at Best Buy and they were great to work with. Forget the Bose, save some money and buy a ZVOX. You'll be glad you did!

The zvox sits nicely under our 32" TV in our smallish family room and gives very good sound for the money. It is not true surround sound, because there are no speakers behind you, but it is very very good sound. And it replaced our 5 speakers plus a receiver with one small box. There is a subwoofer built-in. Two great features are (1) a setting that makes commercials the same volume as the show - a big plus, and (2) several settings that are easy to switch that allow you to emphasize the dialogue, the music, or neither. Can also use as a music player for a phone, Ipod, MP3 player, etc. Extremely easy to set up and very few cords. Elegant black box. Comes with a separate remote, but we don't need it - it works with our TV remote.

What's great about it: Easy set up. In addition, it came with an optical cable to connect with my 32" Samsung TV. What's not so great: Sound quality is excellent but don't expected "dramatic" simulated surround. I bought this system because I wanted a compact designed base to improve the sound quality of a Flat Screen. The ZVOX 220 has 3 different surround modes plus a dialogue enhancement function. You can also set the bass and treble volume levels and even program the unit with the TV remote. ZVox 220 - Simple, Sleek & Great Sound ... Highly Recommended!

I have nerve damage in one ear and had problems understanding some voices on shows so had to wear headphones during certain shows. I could hear them perfectly, just had a problem understanding some of the men with the deeper voices, it was like they were speaking a foreign language! The sound bar can lower the bass and increase the treble and helps a little but not as well as he headphones, but they were getting irritating.

Easy to setup and nice sound, plus the quality of the unit is great. So far worth the money.

Very easy to hook up and works well when paired to my cable remote. Sound is great and fits under my Vizio flat screen.

Great value. Good sound quality. Easy to set up. Remote is difficult to program if you want to control sound with TV or cable remote.

I purchased this sound system simply to improve the sound from a flat-panel TV. I was not expecting a true surround sound system at all, which this is not, but I was impressed with the deep rich sound it did produce - and it has multiple settings for various sound. For the price, it would be hard to beat this little system, and it is also very quick to install.

This is an absolutely wonderful soundbar system for a very reasonable price.

The sound on the flat screen TV in my bedroom was very hard to hear because the speakers were in the back. I'm very happy with the ZVOX because I can now hear my TV. Plus, I was able to program my satellite remote control to adjust the volume output of the ZVOX.

After spending a couple of minutes unpacking and connecting the ZVOX we turned it on and were immediately impressed by the improvement in sound quality compared to that provided by the internal speakers that came with our 46" Samsung flat screen. The voice emphasis option is especially useful to us older folks with a few miles on our ears. Do not expect perfect surround sound or window rattling bass since that is not what the unit is designed for. Do expect a significant improvement in sound quality over the internal speakers that come with modern day flat panel televisions.

I would recommend this product to people who have a hard time hearing and/or understanding what the actors are saying. The words come out crisp and clear. Once you figure it out, it is easy to use.

even though they send you all the connections some TV sets are not compatible. I called customer service and they send me the right connect for free and now all is well

Good sound for a compact package. Made a big difference in the sound of my kitchen TV. Good value.

Easy setup. Adjustable base/treble from +4/-4. Wish it had a light to show that the unit is on, otherwise has great sound. Have it under my 32" Vizio TV. Was easy to program into my Dish remote.

This soundbar lives up to what I read online. Has great sound and fits in a small space. Simple to hook up. I got this for my son and he uses it constantly for gaming and movies. Highly recommend!
