- A: AnswerExcellent question! This model is all one compartment that can either be set to Freezer Mode or Fridge Mode. In Freezer mode, you can set the temperature between 5 °F (-15 °C) and -8 °F (-23 °C). In Fridge mode, you can set the temperature between 44 °F (7 °C) and 34 °F (1 °C). ^Jecca

- A: AnswerI purchased this a little over a year ago... and to answer your question - No. The power consumption is virtually the same. I am a licensed electrician and watch all the major appliances in my home carefully because I had a problem with Duke Energy overcharging me once.

- A: AnswerI tried and failed using the Smart Home Adapter that BB sells. Couldn't figure out how to get the freezer into "AP mode" to get set up with SmartThings. Samsung Support says it isn't supported, even though it is listed as supported in the app. Stupid.

- A: AnswerI had a power outage a week or so after install. The freezer went back to the settings that were in place before the outage. (Freezer mode, 0 temp level).

Great freezer
Better than I expected. Nice finish. I was going to go with a smaller Frigidaire and it came in broke. We sent it back and got this. We are super happy to spend a little extra money and got something nice. It is in our living room since we have a small space and it actually looks nice. The handle swivels to unlatch and pull open door. Nice and roomy. It’s as tall as a regular fringe (old school) and a little narrower but not much. Vents are over each drawer and shelf so you don’t have to worry about circulation being blocked. Overall great freezer.

Samsung Freezer OR Refrigerator
The new freezer (or refrigerator) is tall but slim and looks nice. The bins inside are nice and deep to hold a lot and organize. I do wish there was a little more shelving in the door, but it is really nice and much quieter than our old one.
