A: Yes! The ice maker has been redesigned and the issues have been resolved on the 2019 models.
A: Seems that the fridges that they call "Counter Depth" are under about 31 1/2 inches. (approx) The 27 cu ft fridges are typically not "counter depth" and are much deeper; maybe 35 or 36 inches deep or so. You have to really measure carefully the space where you are going to put your new fridge. And also measure any critical areas along the path that they will need to carry the fridge to the kitchen. You might need to take some cabinet doors off or maybe take the doors off the fridge in order to get it to squeeze into the kitchen. Measure, measure accurately. I found that the advertised specs are pretty accurate. Also, the bigger fridges may be wider and taller to provide the extra volume. We bought the 22.4 cu ft fridge because we had some limitation of resting place and entry space.
Q: Does this come with a filter? How long does the filter last?
A: Yes, comes with a replaceable filter which they say to replace every 6 months. You can get on a program where they send you one every 6 months and is cheaper than buying on your own every 6 months.
