Q: Regarding the QN80A in the 50" screen size, is the panel a VA panel, IPS, or ADS? - Don
A: This is the same guy who asked the question. I meant Q80A, in the 50" size. My research (Rtings.com) says that the 50" and the 85" models have VA panels, and all models in-between have ADS panels, which are similar to IPS. I'm int'd in the 50" BECAUSE of the VA panel, (as well as other features-) for it's improved contrast ratio and blacks, even at the expense of viewing angle. I'm just fishing for someone in-the-know to confirm that the 50" does indeed have the VA panel. Finally, I've noticed a lot of tap-dancing around the subject of whether the 50" has the much-desired 120Hz@4K ability, VRR, and HDMI 2.1. Samsung, you're #1, don't be disingenuous. It's beneath you. The answer, rather than referring everyone straight to the 55" version, is that NO, THE 50" DOES NOT HAVE THOSE FEATURES. See, that wasn't so hard, was it...?
