I switched from my Xperia 1 to this & have no regrets. I really enjoy the UI for its feel and ease of use. Sound is great from speakers too. Wish there was a 512gb version in white but oh well. Camera bu.p is huge & an aspect i dislike, but my tech21 case protects & minimizes the huge bump. Battety life is great, i can get through a day without needing a charge. Highly recommended phone though.

I bought the phone at August 26 and I didn't get the chance to open the phone until the next day. When I finally had the chance to open the phone, the screen is SCRATCHED. I was surprised on how this even got passed through Samsungs production line. I don’t know if its just me but my screen is having some ghosting issues I think. Every time I open any app, the apps on my home screen appear and it disappears within 4-5 seconds. I called samsung and they didn’t really helped. I called bestbuy and the employee helped me out way better. DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ONLY MY UNIT THAT IS DEFECTIVE, no guarantees on what happens to your device that you get, OVERALL I recommend this phone, CAMERA IS GREAT, 120HZ IS AMAZING, THE COLOR FEELS AMAZING.
I use my phone for business and personal use. This is my first note and definitely is a phablet. Its huge, but its so much easier to write emails than ever before. I'm coming from a s9+ and this phone is just so much faster. I'm loving the big screen, the speaker is very loud, and the stylus is very cool. I'm not sure how much I'll use it, but it is nice to have and I'm practicing with it just in case. I can't say enough. It was very easy to transfer everything from the old phone to this one. I'm loving it so far. I did by the otterbox hard case and a zagg antimicrobial screen. Overall a great phone and the battery life is amazing.
I was looking for a phone that I could imagine would remain useful for the next couple of years and not become outdated in a few months and the Note 20 Ultra seems to be such a device. This phone is not perfect, but it is excellent. The only complaints I have are the battery life, which is okay, but not great, and the fact that on my first day of use, the phone got quite hot. I have to admit that I was doing a lot of downloading of apps and updates, and the phone hasn't gotten that warm since.
I traded in my Note 10+, and I can say that the Note 20 Ultra is an improvement in nearly every way. I like that the center hole-punch has been reduced in size, and the 120hz display is a pure delight, even though it undoubtedly affects the phone's battery life adversely to some degree. I expected a little longer battery life, but I think Samsung will address this with future updates. I believe Samsung's update system has improved greatly in recent years. I don't regret the purchase of this phone, and I don't miss my Note 10+ at all.
The 5G modem, the fact that the excellent camera system of the Note 20 Ultra can shoot in 8K mode, and the up to 1 TB of expandable storage are just some of the future proofing aspects of the phone. This phone is a keeper, and I fully expect to get several years of happy use.
I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Doesn’t deserve a 4 though. If you like the Note series, you wont be disappointed. Adaptive display is nice. I’m going to elaborate on the battery life, because it is the only negative I have come across. I lost 12% just setting up the phone, which took around 30 minutes. In the phones defense, I was running a lot of updates. We will see if it improves with normal use. Battery isn’t terrible, but it is definitely a downgrade so far. Don’t be fooled by the reviews saying they got 2 days from moderate use. Even at 60Hz you aren’t going to get 2 days out of moderate use.
I had the N10+ and the fingerprint reader and facial recognition did not work well (8 out of 10 times) but everything else did work. But what use is the phone if it is a hassle to unlock? The N20 Ultra 5G works much better (9.5 out of 10 times). I do miss the retinal scanner to unlock secure web pages on my Note 9 (fingerprint scanner worked better than the N10 or N20!).
I miss the 256GB storage on the N10+ (only 128GB on the N20U5G). I solved that by buying a 256 Samsung card on sale ($59.99).
I love the screen and the 120Hz refresh rate. The camera is good if not better than the N10+ but I haven't used it much yet. However, I tried the night mode and very impressed with it. Same with the new S Pen. The limited use of both so far has been good.
The battery life is the same as the N10+ even though the N20U5G has a larger battery.
What has me surprised is that 5G is available in my area even though Sprint/T-Mobile map doesn't show its available here. The speeds varies with location and which tower is used. T-Mobile uses low band frequency 5G and the speed is the same or slightly faster than LTE. Now the merge with Sprint opens up the mid band frequency and the speed I have measured 150-250mbps. The high band frequency (mm 5G) is owned by Verizon and is not available here. Verizon doesn't have much 5G nationwide coverage and even if it did, the mm 5G range is very limited (1 square block).
The cost was a big factor in purchasing this. I commend Best Buy in giving a discount on pre-ordering and a very good trade in value for my N10+. I was pleasantly surprised when Samsung also threw in an extra $50 in their $150 store credit when I pre-ordered through Best Buy. Without all the discounts/trade in value/credits, I would not say this was a good bang for the buck.

A:AnswerLooks like upon receiving your phone, you register your Note 20 IMEI in the Samsung Shop app and upload your Best Buy receipt info by a certain date to get the $150 Samsung credit (for the Note 20 Ultra, $100 for the Note 20). The process is outlined in the terms and conditions of the preorder ad listed on the Bestbuy.com homepage.
A:AnswerYes, Unlocked Note 20 Ultra will work with US Cellular as long as its this model #: SM-N986UZNAXAA.... you should really get it from US Cellular or maybe Samsung.com
I bought two of these phone unlocked mystic bronze from Best Buy on 08/21/20 and it has been dud for me and Best Buy is not honoring the returns for me and I am Best Buy Elite Plus member and Best Buy will charge restocking fee as well. I will explain below why I want to return these phones..
Well, $150 Samsung Credit is over with but if you buy this phone from Samsung.com, they are giving away free Wireless Duo Charger with it. I would recommend buy it from Samsung.com because they will take return and replace if anything happens to the phone with no restocking fees..
I am avid Note series users ever since (2011) they been in the market. But this new NOTE 20 Ultra is a dud for me. It's been 3 days I got this phone and let me tell you it has been draining battery in like 5-6 hours and its getting super hot.. so hot that it making me uncomfortable while holding.. and I am only using at 60hz with all the bloatware disable/uninstall.. Best Buy won't take a return because apparently their employee said that it will be another Note 7 fire disaster back in 2016.. it will be another Note 7 nightmare..
this new phone of mine is getting ridiculously hot and battery just keep dying and Samsung won't help unless i bought it from them...
I humbly apologize for a very long message but you can see my frustration with Best Buy and Samsung about these phones i bought only 3 days ago..
A:Answerno blinking light for notifications just a icon in top left corner ,there is no head phone jack but you can buy usb type c to 3.5 mm adapter that plugs into charging port for the use of wired head phones and the answer to the last question i just tried it yes you can use internet while on phone with no wifi connection
