Great for cameras, terrible to use as an ID.

I went out with a group of friends to celebrate my cousins 23rd birthday. Like normal, we ate and imbibed on quality drinks. We brought along our HD video camera that could record in 1080p. We filmed our adventures as we galavanted around the town. This SanDisk card gave us plenty of recording time, and we had no worries about getting jitters or dropping frames. We ended up at an extremely wonderful taco shop and my cousin ordered another margarita. Our waitress asked for his ID, and it was very loud in this taco shop. He asked "what?!" My brother said, "you just got carded!" "Oh!" my cousin responded, and handed her the SanDisk 64 GB card. With a confused look on her face, she asked, "what's this? I need your ID." And with a laugh, my cousin pointed toward the bold white letters scrolled across the face of the card, and said, "that's my card, it says I'm 64!" We all broke into a huge bout of laughter and was immediately thrown out and roughed up by security for public intoxication. Bloodied and bruised, we called our cab and headed home. So the 64 GB SanDisk memory card is great for cameras but terrible to use as identification.

It was our fault for forgetting to order one before a video shoot. Ran there during lunch break, the SD card I normally get was out of stock, and this one was on sale for the same price so I went for it. While filming no issues. As soon as I pulled it out of the camera it freaked out. Wanted me to reformat it and said everything was corrupted. Put it back into the camera, corrupted. Tried other computers, corrupted. Eventually I went into a terminal and figured out how to get the data off of it and saved all the data on there. Then I reformatted it, and put it into a regular camera. Tested it once or twice with no issues. Then I took about 50 pictures. Same thing happened again. Maybe I got a lemon, but I won't buy this brand again because of it. Sadly the packaging is no where to be found, so I can't return it.

I bought these because of the low price and fast (relative) speed. They are class 10, which is fast enough for my camera. It doesnt shoot 4k video and is only 18MP. These work great each and every time without fail. The price was good for a brick and mortar store. Sandisk quality means I dont worry if the card will work when I need it. I bought two and switch them out each time so I'm not using the same one constantly. I also have a couple other backup cars, but these are my main cards in my canon and they work perfectly.

The Dell computer I purchased is a fine computer. However the Microsoft Office software I purchased came up with an alert with Microsoft saying or their representatives saying my network was infected. However while owning these computers (always purchased from Best Buy) I also have had Web-Root Security continually installed on any computer I have and my Verizon Fios (now named Frontier). I have a lot questions about how they (Microsoft) can offer to fix the computer(brand new) for a substantial amount of money($999.99 lifetime support). Too many questions about these events? Confused customer?

      Write speed is horrendous

While this card advertises 40 MB/s data transfer rate, that number only applies to READ speed. Write speed, as stated absolutely no where on the Internet, is around 10 MB/s. (I was able to find this number after testing the speed with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test.) A speed around that is nowhere near adequate for video shooting. I attempted to pop it in a Canon C100, failed to record. Then tried in a GH2, also told me the transfer rate was not sufficient. I would only recommend this card for Photography.

Needed to replace disk that had reached capacity for photos. There was a new product for a substitute. The only difference seemed to be that the positive and negative markings were inverted from the markings on the previous one. So where the plus and minus marks had faced outward, it now faced inward. Seemed pretty weird, actually, so I went according to where the copper strips were placed, and it worked. Really stupid of the manufacturer, though, because reversing polarity can damage camera and disk. Damned careless, IMO

My friend made a great suggestion to me; he buys several memory cards and uses them for his trips. The prices are so reasonable now that he does not reformat them but instead notes what trip they were for and sets them in a safe place. In case he loses all the photos online, in the cloud or on his backup, he still has his original disk to go back to for the photos. I like that this card is so large that even in a large format you will not run out of space. I took over 2000 pics on mine and there is still room for more including video.

I have just bought a Nikon-Coolpix S9700 and I needed memory for it. Considering how expensive memory cards are, I was looking for something that was budget friendly. I have bought more expensive memory cards in the past for video recorders and the such. However, I am not a professional photographer nor do I work in an environment where every MB/s is crucial, and to me the SanDisk has performed equally to them. If there is a difference I cannot tell. Therefore, and especially since I bought it on sale, I am very happy with the SanDisk Memory Card purchase .
