Exactly what I wanted
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Bike is a replacement for 15 year old Recumbent Bike. I reviewed several Bikes and this model fit my exercise needs the best. Being on sale $449.00 instead of a list price of $699.00 made the purchase affordable and within my budget. I had Best Buy Geek Squad deliver it and the delivery was on time for the date requested. Assembly was easy at just under two hours. Overall the quality is what I am used to getting from Schwinn and this Bikes quality is excellent. Since this Bike was quite an improvement over my previous Bike there was a slight adjustment to find the exercise programs that I like. Have used it twice and am satisfied with the programs offered. My only suggestion would be to add a backlit LCD for the control panel. You should not have to spend $200.00 more to get the next model up just for a back lit LCD.

Schwinn recumbent bike
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice recumbent bike. The seat is hard so you may want to use a cushion. The bike is quiet and smooth. Took me about 2 hours to put it together. All and all I like it so far. Gives you a good workout, more so it seems than the exercise bikes with the seat up much higher.

Difficult to get warranty replacement for key part
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit is quiet and works as described but the unit was delivered with a misaligned plate, holding the control console, welded to the handlebar mast. So the console tilts on a strong angle rather than straight up and down. All warranty service goes through Nautilus, owner of the Schwinn brand, and there is a very long (50+ minute) wait to connect with support. They replaced the part for me but provided a part of a model year 2013 bike which had a different console so the holes do not align. Nautilus cannot seem to figure out how to get the right handlebar mast for the model bike currently sold by Best Buy.

Got way out of shape!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I belonged to Golds Gym when Covid started and they made it clear they were not going to do anything to make the gym safe once they were able to open again. I didn’t go to work out for about 20 months and got way out of shape. When they said they were going to close I thought I needed a way to do at least some kind of work out at home. I was riding this kind of a bike at the gym so I bought one. It has been great for about two months 45 minutes a day. Took about an hour to put it together not bad even looked at the directions once or twice.

Good sturdy and virtually silent bike
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like it as it's virtually silent. I really don't care about programs, so just a sturdy and quiet bike is fine for me. I ride it for long periods like an hour to 1.5 hours at a time. For short periods the seat is fine, but it gets uncomfortable after about 45 minutes for me. I am just buying a cushion to make it more comfortable. Putting it together was relatively straight forward and takes about 2 hours. I only needed help for about 5 minutes during the assembly. The screen is a little hard to see in dim light, but that's not really a big deal to me. For the money, I think it's about as good as you can expect.

If you're having issues with the lighting on the screen, we suggest making sure your bike isn't sitting in direct light, as that can make the screen more difficult to see. Q: QuestionThe Schwinn website lists only one model of 230 recumbent and it's black, with 22 levels and 13 programs. Yours is gray w 16 levels and 13 programs. Is this a BestBuy special? I can't find it anywhere else on the internet.
Asked by Missy.
- A:Answer This is the Schwinn 230 MY20 and is the 2020 version of the Schwinn 230 recumbent bike. You are correct that there are other versions on the internet, This one has a lower end console - no speakers, no USB port, etc. The pictures shown on the Best Buy site and specs reflect the bike I received - so 16 levels instead of 22 for example.

Asked by LULU.
- A:Answer The screen is NOT backlit. It has a grey background with black text/icons. Okay in good lighting, hard to read in dim or no light. Purchased a unit one week ago.
