A: I don't personally have the iPhone 16 Pro Max but if the device supports external microphone input (which I believe it should, as the iPhones I've had all supported that feature) then there's no reason why this shouldn't plug and play, as it uses no external software and the device that it's plugged into as the power source. You might have to select it as a source in your device's settings however, so be sure to look at those before you begin to record.
