Sharp lens...fast lens....Solid Nifty 50, great OSS...If you have a larger budget the 55 1.8 has a great AF motor, is better wide open, and just a beautiful match for the sony a7xx cameras.
Get a reliable portrait lens for your NEX camera with this Sony 50mm lens. It has a fast aperture of f/1.8 for solid performance under low-light conditions, and it can get in close to your subject — up to 1.5 feet. Add a 49mm filter to your Sony 50mm lens for lens protection and polarization effects.
Great lens....Sharp 35!!!...Awesome speed and OSS is great....I loved my camera to begin with but one of the ladies working at the store gave me a small lesson on lenses and cameras and I fell in love with this lens.
With built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, this Sony SEL35F18 35mm prime lens helps you achieve crisp, clear images with your compatible Sony NEX E-mount camera. The 2 motors offer quiet and smooth operation for shooting videos.
Pro level...Great glass...The Image Stabilization is very useful in low light....For taking normal or non macro shots the image quality is equally amazing, however you are limited to the 100 mm focal length.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens: Experience a broader range of your DSLR's capabilities with this mid-telephoto macro lens. Image stabilization helps to ensure that your photos are clear even at very close range. Capture fine details with unprecedented clarity.
Excellent lens....Very nice bokeh...The Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS is the best affordable E-mount prime lens Sony has produced to date, and the only stabilized 50mm f/1.8 on the market....It focuses right away, great color, nice round bokeh and super sharp even in low light.
Capture crisp photos with help from this Sony SEL50F18/B 50mm f/1.8 prime lens that is designed for use with most Sony Alpha cameras with an E-mount and features OSS (Optical SteadyShot) image stabilization to help prevent blurring and ghosting.
Great Prime!...Nice, love it....Amazing lens with image stabilization, lightweight...Highly recommend this lense as it stayed on my Canon 6D the whole time I was in Disney World.
Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Wide-Angle Lens: Take in the wider view with a Canon EF wide-angle lens built for everyday use. The specially-coated aspherical lens delivers exceptionally sharp, distortion-free images. Optical image stabilization improves picture quality for low-light shooting and close focusing.
Good Lens...The best....The only thing I would have loved is the image stabilization, but for a prime lense purchase guide on a budget I highly recommend this one, the 24mm and the 35mm....The loss of MTF at f/1.8 isn'ticeable, especially once you get a feel for how the lens performs at f/5.6, but in my opinion, the compromise is perfectly acceptable in a portrait context.
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Love it...Nifty 50...This lens is excellent in value for just above $100 and the new STM technology definitely makes focus noise quieter, but not as silent as 18-55mm, 55-250mm lenses....I am definitely more of a dedicated hobbyist than a pro shooter, but I've been thrilled with the performance of this lens so far and impressed with the photo quality and functionality overall!
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
I love it...Loving it!...With an f2.8 you can open it up all the way to do low light shooting, as well as being able to do portrait shooting with a good blur on the back ground....This is a very handy little lens... most people refer to the "nifty fifty" 50mm f/2.8 as being a trusty 'always in your camera bag lens', but for anyone shooting with a CMOS sensor, this is really an ideal lens for you in order to capture amazing close-up or portrait photos and get that silky smooth bokeh that everyone looks to capture.
Capture stunning images of wide perspectives with this Canon 9522B002 EF-S wide-angle lens that features an aspheric lens element for high image quality from the center to the edges. The circular, 7-blade aperture delivers soft backgrounds.
Nice lens!...Very good...Hard to describe but the subtle differences in glass, construction of the body and overall build quality but it is an exceptional lens and worth the upgrade....I received some good advice from a friend regarding a fixed 50mm lens--the F/1.4 on a 50mm lens is what he told me to look for, and the pictures are fantastic (using a Canon EOS Rebel T3I).
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
I love this...Works well...Plus I read a forum where several users had tried to upgrade the firmware (following the directions) and the upgrade didn't work or the lens stopped working completely!...At f/2.8 maximum aperture, you won't get as shallow a depth of field on this lens as you will on the 50mm f/1.8 (which is considerably cheaper) but the image quality overall on this lens is significantly better....Bought this before black friday of 2013.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
Very sharp....Great lense...This lens is insanely sharp and I'm able to crop in on pictures (when needed) to ridiculous amounts because of how much resolution is still left....I love this lens, it works amazing with portrait shots and video is amazing - I did some interviews and they were beautiful!
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G Medium Telephoto Lens: Transform every portrait into a work of art with a lens that delivers exceptional image quality and rich color saturation even at wide open apertures. Whether you're capturing headshots, wedding photos or nature images, this medium telephoto lens offers all you need for professional results in almost any lighting conditions.
Great buy!!...I love it....It is a little heavier than the Nikon 50mm 1.8g, but the weight is balanced by it's exceptional light gathering capabilities....With a D810 and this lens, you can lock yourself in the closet after midnight with all the lights out and still get great pictures!
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Standard Lens: Suitable for professional and amateur photographers, this is a great lens for travel, events, portraits and general purpose photography. Capture clear images in dim lighting without a flash with the wide-open aperture. Switch seamlessly from automatic to fine manual focusing so you can ensure every detail is spot on.
Super lens...Good lens...It also shows very little distortion, even less if mounted on a DX sensor body, since the crop factor will cut the corners, which is where distortion is more obvious....With DX format it makes a very good portrait lens allowing you to blur the background (BOKEH) which makes your subject more prominent.
Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Standard Lens: The wide-open aperture of this versatile Nikon lens allows you to capture photos in most situations without a flash. Whatever you're shooting, you'll get consistently sharp results at dusk, dawn or even in dim indoor lighting. Weighing just 5.5 oz., it makes a convenient carry-around lens for shooting stills and video.
Amazing Lens...A great lens...I think its important to say that this isn't a beginner lens, particularly if you're heavily (or blindly) dependent upon auto-focus as shooting wide open (f/1.2) requires regular review to ensure that your primary subject is in sharp focus....Apparently, the focus ring was loose which was causing front-back focusing problems, so they tightened it and calibrated the lens to my 40D and it works perfectly now.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light and without needing a flash. It is a perfect tool for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
Fantastic Lens!...Nice wide lens...Was recommended this lens by a friend and after trying it out, decided this was a great alternative to a zoom lens....The 28mm Sony lens is a great lens for street photography, it is light but is the perfect wide angle lens and works well in low light situations also.
This Sony SEL28F20 lens features a 9-blade circular aperture and ED glass with multicoating, so you can easily capture clear photos with minimal ghosting using your a7-series, 35mm full-frame camera.
