All about that bass in a fun unique way
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, Listening to music, Sound qualityCons mentioned:VolumeAs a general, all-purpose, for every situation headphone, these are not my go-to headphones, but for music that celebrates bass or action movies, they are a really fun and a unique experience. Because these aren’t my default go-to headphones, I initially had rated these at 4/5 stars. However, the sensory bass feature is really so unique and fun that it almost can’t be compared to other headphones. In my mind, it both creates a new category of headphones and rises to the top of it, so for that reason these headphones get 5 stars from me. THE GREAT The unique thing about these headphones is the Adjustable Sensory Bass technology. What that effectively means is that you can feel the music, just like the deep shaking you can feel with a sub-woofer, but not in a way that is just "louder". It genuinely adds a different experience that I haven't found anywhere else, and watching any movie with deep bass, particularly action movies, really take on a new and more enjoyable experience. — The slider on the headphones to adjust the sensory bass is such a clever implementation, and I find myself changing it between songs to really bring out the beauty the artist intended for a much larger subwoofer enhanced system. So many headphones allow EQ settings to be adjusted within an app, but for such a crucial feature, the implementation of a slider on the headphones was pure perfection. I would definitely take off a star or two had this not been physically adjustable because it feels necessary and really completes the product. To recap — Adjustable Sensory Bass is freaking awesome and really THE reason to pick these headphones over others. THE GOOD Sound quality —Over all good to great, and I don’t really have complaints here. It’s really the sensory bass that makes these worth getting over other headphones, and other brands in this quality range definitely match the sound quality apart from that. Design — The headphones themselves are comfortable. They fold to become more compact, but since I haven’t really traveled with them, they generally just stay opened sitting on my desk or hanging from a headphone stand. THE DISAPPOINTING Noise Cancellation — These headphones don’t have noise cancellation so while they’re great for louder music and really add a new dimension to the bass aspect of music and movies, they fail a bit in a loud environment when playing quieter music due to lack of noise cancellation which can be found on similar headphones. Microphone / Phone Calls — I’m not sure why, but I found that while using these headphones and received an incoming call, the audio did not switch to my headset as it normally does with my wireless headphones. I haven’t spent too much time troubleshooting this feature as it wasn’t a deal breaker, but it didn’t “just work” easily for me. OVERALL If you can live without noise cancellation, and are interested in the adjustable sensory bass feature that really brings music to life, I would definitely recommend these headphones. I still find myself reaching for in-ear buds most of the time for the sake of convenience and use of microphone while on a call or in a meeting, but the Crusher Evo still get picked up a few times a week. If you’re looking for a generic pair of headphones to use in a noisy environment, I’d go with a pair that supports noise cancellation over these. However, as mentioned several times, the sensory bass is truly a game changing experience and for that reason I would happily recommend giving these a try. These are the first headphones I’ve tried that have really been an experience. If you want to experience music in a new way, pick these up and see for yourself.

Vibrating bass booster
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Listening to music, Sound qualityCons mentioned:VolumeSo, let’s get this out of the way first: This skullcandy wireless headphone sounds really good, very comparable with high end headphones of the same kind. I am a casual listener and use it for listening to my vinyl collections. Let’s talk now about pro and cons. Since I am recommending this headphone, I am going to talk about the cons first. Cons: - The Bluetooth connection range is supposed to be about 30 feet, but depending on where you are, that might not be the case at all. I would say, a good range would be about 20 feet, which is still pretty good - No EQ. However if you download the app, you can get a personalized sound set up, which is noticeable better than the regular setup. - When battery is low, a voice warning will come up. But depending on how loud your music is, you might not be able to hear what’s the message says. I also found that the app is not accurately displayed how much battery left. - No cancelling noise. Since I am only using it in the house, I can’t tell whether or not outside noise is a big interference. - I believe the headphone can only be connected to one device at a time. But once connected, it’s very easy to connect to the device. Pro: - A very good sound. - Bass booster which depending on how high, can literally makes your head vibrate. This feature is obviously designed for someone who likes huge bass. If you are not a fan, you still should give it a try and add a little bit bass to enhance the sound - 40 hours battery. Charging 10 minutes will give you about 4 hours listening time since it comes with a high charging cable - The ear cups is enveloped in this thick soft padding which makes it “more” comfortable to wear over a long period of time, compare to other over the ear headphone. A very important feature since I usually listen to my music while I am working for hours at time. - The whole headphone feels solidly build and yet can be easily folded to fit the carrying case that comes with it. It can also be extended and the ear cups can be turned 360 degree in one direction so it can be adjusted to fit any ears. - You can install the app on your phone to get the battery level and to set up the EQ preferences and connect the headphone to other player. In my case, I connect it to receiver for my record player and use the app on my phone. - The app has a set up for a personal sound, but it also comes preset for music, podcast mode and movie mode. In conclusion, I really like this headphone and has been using it constantly. I am not particularly concern about the noise canceling because the ear cup feels really snug on my ear. I am confident with the right volume, I can drawn out outside noise that I don’t want to hear. Highly recommended.

Crusher EVO's deliver the advertised goods

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Bass, Battery life, Listening to musicCons mentioned:WiringI received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. I was skeptical about the Crusher EVO's having a preconceived notion that a headphone focusing on a bass adjustment would be gimmicky. Opening the box, the contents are the headphones, a case, and two cables isn't that exciting. Once out of the box, the first thing to do was pair it to my Samsung Galaxy S10+. As with most Bluetooth devices, it's a simple process. For whatever reason, it took me two tries to connect (this has happened many times before with other speakers and headphones). My next step was to download the Skullcandy app. I registered the Crusher EVO's in the app. Then I personalized the sound with the hearing test within the app which is powered by Audiodo technology. This supposedly finetunes the sound to your own ears. I had listened to the EVO's before and after the test (my findings of the sound to follow). I noticed a bit more clarity once personalized but I will not say it was earth shattering. A 10-minute charge gives you 4 hours which is impressive. Simple controls - on the right volume up/down, track forward/back, phone control. Most of my use is for music, and have not tested call quality. I listened to the EVO's both before and after the personalization. My review isn't based on either the before/after, just the overall experience. My test was with Bluetooth as I never used the audio cable connection. I made sure the bass slider was in the low/off position to get a feel for the unfiltered (bass adjustment) sound. I was honestly pleasantly surprised. They have a very good audio range. These are not audiophile quality comparing to high-end expensive cans, but they absolutely hold their own and sound better then most I've heard in the under $200 category. They have decent highs/mids, and the lows aren't impressive. I listened to a variety of songs, mostly metal as that is my favorite genre. The sound was nice and forward, good separation, and no distortion even at higher volume. After some time, I decided I was ready to use the bass boost. It's honestly a game changer for those who enjoy bass. I barely had to push the slide up and man, did the bass kick in. I love the haptic feedback which really gives you the feeling of a punch. I never tested the 40 hour battery life. They do hurt a tad after long wear. Bottom line is these are a homerun for me. They fold nicely for travel, and provide me a full sound experience to bang my head to metal.

Can you have too much Bass?
Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Bass, Battery life, Listening to musicCons mentioned:Low frequencyI have to say these headphones are just plain nuts. I tend to listen to very bass heavy music and its very difficult to find a good pair of headphones that emphasize those low frequencies. But man was I impressed with the new Crusher EVO. It easily connects to any device like a phone or Bluetooth enable device. The app is very intuitive and easy to use. If you have some time and want a more custom audio experience you use the personal Sound profile that customizes the audio that is played to your ears and is based on your preferences. The real star of this show is the adjustable bass control and man when I say these headphones have bass, they have BASS lol. Even when you crank the bass all the way the battery life is still impressive. I managed to get at least 35 hours listening at a moderate volume but the bass was turned up to a reasonable value. One of the most impressive feature is the rapid charge feature which gives you 4 hours of usage for just a 10 minute charge incase you then to forget to charge your headphones like I usually do. Speaking of forgetting the tile feature is another life saver. I have already used it to find my "misplaced" headphones. The only downside I see to these headphones is that after extended use they tend to be uncomfortable but after 4 plus hours I can't imagine any headphone not begin to bother anyone. The media buttons are placed in a good accessible spot and the mic quality is pretty good as well. Overall I have to say with sound profile and the adjustable you have one of the best music experiences for a majority of music genres. I high recommend these headphones. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Bass, Listening to music, PriceCons mentioned:WiringI received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. B-A-S-S. Let me repeat that B-A-S-S. This thing bumps from the old school to the modern day hip hop/rap music to movies. It’s great for music and movies. It's decent for video games with some quirks and phone calls. BT set up was extremely easy. It took a minute to set up. If you download Skull Candy app and Tile app, it will probably take less than 10 minutes to set up. You have to go through a process to optimize the sound or to create a personal profile. Tile was easy to set up and it might be useful; if you ever lose it. Although, if you set it up as always on then it eats your data and battery life. If you don’t then you get annoying Tile notifications that it’s not always on. The sound quality was excellent as expected for the most. Skull Candy has come a long way from when I first tried it. Build quality is excellent as well. It’s solidly constructed, has a nice, smooth finish. The ear cups are comfortable to have on for long periods of time. The headband adjustments are fine for me. It comes with a headphone cable for wired usage. I’m a little disappointed the headphone cable isn’t braided or of higher quality to match the quality of the headphones. It does have voice commands, which I used. I thought it was okay. It can be hit or miss at times. The controls are intuitive with a power button, volume control, and bass adjustments. It comes with a carrying bag. It would have been nice to have a longer strap to carry it on your shoulder and extra compartments to use a shoulder bag. But you can clip it to your belt, backpack or anything else. It’s just not as versatile as it could have. It’s an excellent value, when you factor in sound quality for music to movies. It's decent for gaming with some quirks and phone calls. It bumps with the bass, vocals are clean and clear, voice calls are fair, and using it for gaming is decent as well. There are no perfect headphones. But this does a great job overall for my main purposes that are entertainment based for music and movies. If I could get this to work with my PS5 without being wired in or having to use a BT dongle then it would have been near perfect.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This is my first time in many ears using actual headphones and not some type of earbuds. Crusher EVO is super comfortable. Skull candy even has an app to provide your own personal sound. Skull Candy also offers a variety of modes such as music, podcast or movie to optimize your listening pleasure. The fit feels great, its like wearing a comfortable head band. I have recently found true crime podcasts to listen to. The headphones cancel out any ambient noise. So listening to the true crime podcasts comes across a little creepy, in a good way. Battery life is awesome, the battery life doesn't seem to drain while not in use. Super easy to pair with bluetooth. You can easily adjust volume on phone. So far so good!I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion."

Q: Questiondo these come with a usb adapter or do they connect via bluetooth?

- A:Answer Idk about a usb but it should have an aux cord with it. I've never bought the Evos so I could be wrong but I do have the Crusher ANCs and they came with a USB cord to charge it and an AUX cord incase you wanted/needed wired listening.
