A: The charging pad is home for speaker when not in use-always charged and ready to go
Q: Can this be used without WIFI connection ?
A: It can, but it has to be set up on wifi first to download the latest firmware. Then, it can be put in Bluetooth mode and go where you go.
Q: Can you connect roam to the tv to serve as a speaker?
A: As long as you have an existing SONOS soundbar you can connect them into a group and Roam will play whatever is playing through the soundbar.
Q: Does this speaker have the ability to connect to more than one phone at the same time?
A: Anyone on the network with the app and password can stream to it but one streaming signal at a time of course.
Q: Am I correct in assuming this product works with Alexa and Google Assistant?
A: Only if you purchase the version that includes the features. The SL versions dont include them, hence its lower price.
Q: Can the speaker pair with a Sonos home system?
A: Yes, you can group the Roam with any other SONOS device on your network.
Q: Can this double as a desktop speaker using the USB plug in?
A: I think you could do that, but the nice thing about Sonos is it’s wireless. No wires on the desk might be a better choice.
Q: Does it include the 10 W plug adapter?
A: I don’t know the wattage. But it is made by Sonos. Mine has worked great!
