Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between Generation 2 and Generation 3 subwoofer?(2 answers)
A: AnswerThere is no acoustic difference between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 subs. The Gen 3 Sub has updated internal processing and memory power and is designed to take advantage of any new features that come to the Sonos platform.Answered by Sonos Customer Care
Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the Generation 1 and Generation 3 subwoofer?(2 answers)
A: AnswerBasically updated internals. They updated the memory, processor, and wireless. It is supposed to have less vibration as well. I just got this along with the arc and it is amazing. I love playing things and turning off and on the sub to hear and feel the difference it makes, I can't compare as I didn't have the Gen1. Also this link (https://thedigitaltheater.com/dolby-trailers/) has demos you can use to test out audio systems with the different dolby technologies. Not a detailed answer, but I hope that helps. If anything you can search the webs on your question and probably get more detailed analysis of the two.Answered by JRATL01
Q: QuestionSonos Sub Gen3 will work with Playbar?(4 answers)
A: AnswerHi, The Gen3 Sub will work with Playbar.Answered by Sonos Customer Care
- A: AnswerHaving been through different configurations, my system worked best when I paired them all for surround sound through the Sonos app and connected an optic cable to my playbar from my smart TV. Sonos then prompts you to setup remotes.

Q: QuestionIs this what we would pair with the newly released Sonos - Arc Soundbar with Dolby Atmos?(5 answers)
A: AnswerYes, at least I did and it is amazing. I am really surprised how great this system is. In fact I am thinking of getting the Play One SL's to complete the surround setup. If you already have a Gen 1 sub than I assume you can use that as well. This sub has upgraded internals (processor, memory, and wireless) as well as less vibration, but should work as well.Answered by JRATL01
- A: AnswerHi, and thank you for your question! The great thing about Sonos is that you can place the Sub where you want to. Ideally in a place where the bass response is equally distributed throughout the space. You can Trueplay Tune your Sonos products with an IOS device which means in the matter of a minute or two the sound will be adjusted custom to your room. As far as placement Sub is designed to stand upright or lay flat. Not kidding, try it out if you don't believe us! :)

Q: QuestionIf buying open box you could get same warranty and defer payments with zero interest ?(2 answers)
A: AnswerNot sure about the interest part. Open box -I’ve found to be a great deal. I always purchase the extended warranty anyway. So it gives you 4 years warranty. The standard only gives you one.Answered by Soundmachine

The Sonos Sub is Excellent
Huge and articulate sound, especially for its size. I feel it is worth the money. I use with a Sonos Amp and an additional sub (a Gen 1 and this Gen 3). I am a metalhead and I've found the Sonos sub to be perfect for that. There is enough bass to feel the thump of the kick drum, but it's articulate enough that you can still hear both the bass guitar and kick during fast passages. It moves plenty of air to fill a big room with bass during a movie also, but I've found that it really shines with music. The above still applies to only having one sub, but the second sub really shines in my listening room because I don't have enough room treatments to avoid large bass cancellations in some of the listening positions. So with one sub, parts of the room had super full bass and other parts didn't. Adding the second sub has now filled out the sound in the listening positions that were previously suffering. Current room I listen in is pretty large. It's an open floorplan, with the living room, kitchen, and dining room. I bought my first Sonos Sub in late 2015. At that point, I was using an SVS PB1000 (a 12" ported sub) and literally never missed it once it was gone. This is likely subjective because of my music tastes, so take with a grain of salt. I do watch a lot of movies and TV though, and still super happy with the Sonos Sub. If I was forced to say anything I dislike, it would be difficult. I would imagine a high end sub setup could still be significantly better than this, especially because bigger speakers can just literally move more air, but with my specific tastes and room, I'm very happy with these.
