Many lenses in one
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed.Lightning fast auto-focus, but quiet as a mouse. Zoom range goes from borderline ultra-wide to a moderately tight portrait. The 2.8 aperture throughout the zoom makes for decent background seperation, especially at longer focal lengths. Works excellent on my a6600.

Best Lens for my Sony a6600

Great Lens for both a6600 and a7c

Everything to love about this lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Sure it's missing image stabilization, so the price tag will make you skeptical, It did to me too. It's f2.8 across the full length of the zoom. The lens produces incredibly clear and sharp images. I use a A6300 (no IBIS). I have shot from both hand held and mounted on tripod, same wonderful clear, crisp sharp results with excellent color, both indoor and out.

Sony 16-55 f/2.8 is terrific!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This lens is by far the best Standard Zoom for the Sony APS-C line of cameras, specially the a6600 which has in-body stabilization. The zoom range is awesome and you could trval with this lens alone. Clarity and sharpness are excellent. Focus is lightning fast and silent. With an f/2.8 it is faster than most and compete with most fast fix length lens. It is larger and heavier than the 16-70 f/4 Zeiss. BB had it on clearance in-store, so price made it a must buy.

Best APS-C lens on the market.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This is the sharpest most versatile APS-C lens out there. My only little gripe is it doesn’t have OSS, but with the IBIS on my A6600 I don’t really notice. You can’t go wrong with this lens.

Finally, what took sony so long?
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This lens along with one prime should cover all your needs. Yes the price is more than most bodies for apc, but if you can afford it, get it. There is really no compromise. Works extremely well for a light wait setup for all type of photography. This was a present for my wife. I review all the images she took with this lens while I was within my return period becuase I wanted to make sure the quality matched the price. It does.

- A:Answer Yea it will fit on these camera, but will act like a 24-82.5 mm lens. You will also get cropped images. If you want a full frame lens that’s amazing I would recommend the Sony 24-70 f/2.8 G version 2. It’s an amazing lens and has OSS. It is a little pricier. You should go with the version 2 though. It’s lighter and smaller than the version 1 and has an easier throw when zooming.

- A:Answer Hi, yes you can use the Sony E 16-55mm F2.8 G Standard Zoom Lens with the Sony Alpha A7rii. However, there will some restrictions such as 1) The angle of view will be narrower down to that of APS-C size. 2) The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to "Auto".

Q: QuestionSony has announced the release date for this lens as October 11th. Is there a reason why Best Buy still shows it as unannounced? I was wondering if I can still expect this to be delivered by the 11th if I pre-ordered it already.
