Nice value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these for very occasional use while flying, and I really like them. They do a great job of cancelling out aircraft noise and enhancing audio for watching movies. I didn't want to spend a lot, and these were a perfect match for my needs.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LINES on these headsets started splitting only after a couple of time using the headset, so to say disappointment would be a understatement!!! Poor Quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using the headphones only a few times the wire at the connection area (where it V's) has exposed wires. We live 2 hours from a Best Buy, so returning them is not convenient. They still work, but they are obviously not good quality.

Falls Apart
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these 2 years ago, had to exchange it for a new one a few weeks after because a piece of the headphone fell off! Recently, the whole left earpiece cushion fell off -- poor gluing, I guess. Won't be buying another one.

Sony MDR-ZX110NC HEADPHONESThe Sony MDR-ZX110NC are mediocre mixed usage headphones that have decent audio reproduction and don't leak much. Unfortunately, they feel cheaply made and poorly isolate listeners from ambient noise. They don't fare well in loud, noisy

Q: QuestionDoes this headphone cancel out the hum of the engines on a plane?
Asked by Tommy.
- A:Answer It sure does. I use them all the time when I am flying. As soon as you turn on the noise cancelling feature, you notice a dramatic difference. No more jet hum.

Q: Questionwhat r batteries for?I think batteries r 4 noise reduction function only ,aren't they? So it can b used with no battery as an ordinary headphone wz same quality, one last question, what about bass quality,so, I may speak 2 my relative in us to get it 4 me ,when come back 2 Cairo, thanks a lot,and sorry for disturbing .
Asked by Hazzuma.
- A:Answer that is absolutely correct the batteries power the noise cancelation and it can function as a normal pair of headphones without them.

Q: QuestionIn the pictures, why dont they look over ears?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Because they're not truly over the ear unless you have tiny little ears. It's worth it to spend the money on a truly over the ear headphone when you want noise cancellation.
Answered by Hedijo
Q: QuestionIs it active noise cancellation or passive noise cancellation?
Asked by Ganesh.
- A:Answer Active, not passive

Q: QuestionAre the headphones adjustable to fit smaller heads, like children?
Asked by SZMJZ.
- A:Answer I purchased these headphones for my 9 year old son and they adjust well to fit his head. They fit him snugly so I believe that they would work for younger children as well. I would recommend reinforcing the part of the wire where it splits to go to each headphone with electrical or other black tape since my kids are tough on headphones and that is normally the first thing that gets damaged.

Q: QuestionHOW exactly does "noise cancelling" work? I didn't realized batteries were needed. I'm looking for something that can block a tv set continuously playing in my workplace. So you have to have them plugged in to something and put a battery in it?
Asked by LibbySakiToby.
- A:Answer One AAA battery (included in purchase) is inserted into one side of the headset. I switch can then be turned on and off for noise cancellation. The only thing you need to have them plugged into, is whatever you are listening to.

Q: QuestionDoes the cord unplug from the headphone?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No. The cords are attached. This is not going to reduce noise at a gun range for example. It is for listening to music or TV or such. It reduces noises within certain sound ranges and has specific limits. Best Buy has more info on headphones and it explains better some of the uses and limits to expect. The noise canceling effect works for noise in the low frequency band primarily. Noise is reduced, but not canceled completely.
