The next gen console we've all been awaiting...
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5It was quite difficult to pre-order the PS5, but I truly lucked out because even with all the restocks certain retailers have had... it is still unbelievably hard to place the order. I hope anyone that still wants one gets one soon because it really is unfair that the gamers aren't able to land one whilst scalpers have thousands. The PS5 has run beautifully and so intelligently from what I've experienced. The set up was of course easy and fast. The new UI is smooth and I definitely like it more than the old one on the PS4. The Dualsense Controller is AMAZING. It is probably the next best thing (only second to the console itself) with the way it works. It's not as slippery like the Dualshock and feels great in hand. Even after hours of gaming, I did not feel any fatigue in my hands. The battery life is probably similar to its predecessor. Overall, the console runs very smoothly and I have not experienced any sort of loudness with it. I do recommend when playing games, to choose performance over the resolution. You will absolutely get a higher FPS and I think it just runs a lot better that way. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to experience next gen even though we've just merely begun to play those games.

A real review.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5An actual buyer here!!! The console has been great. No issues so far (Crosses fingers). No glitches (like many who don’t work in the tech field claim). I’ve tried plenty of PS4 games and they all work normal. I have Spiderman, 2K, COD and Valhalla and they are all good games. The adaptive triggers on the controller definitely stand out as a highlight. I turn them off for multiplayer in COD because they can be a distraction. I’m sure the Xbox has some benefits, but I’m sticking with Sony. Hope everyone is able to get the console they want.

PS5 and Best Buy review
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Best Buy did a great job with pain free purchase on an item that was very hard to find anywhere else. Everything about this purchase was excellent. It was my first time doing curbside pickup and it was great. I was literally in the parking lot less then 10 minutes. The woman who came out with it was so nice. This was a late Christmas present for my 15 year old. He loves it! He says it has lightning fast loading speeds. Graphics are gorgeous. You can play old games as well as new. The controls are awesome! No complaints. We did buy an extra control so two can play. Or one to charge while one is in use. And be patient with set up. It took us at least and hour to set up, because of our internet download speeds. But no delays while playing.

PS5 is the next gen in gaming consoles
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5-First of all I could not believe I finally have one in hands, not from scalpers. -Coming from an RTX3080, i9-10900k PC I will try to remain neutral as possible on the performance department. Aesthetics are great, bold design does look like a next generation thing. Size I think is too big but design wise might make sense to better handle thermals. Quality feels robust but make sure you always use the included stand so you don’t regret any falls. Performance, console is super quiet, SSD load times are next gen, significant difference from the past gen and comparable to those on PC. 4k games such as godfall looks pretty decent with consistent FPS. Other games such as CoD might suffer some FPS drops. At the end it does not matter is a gaming console. I think PS5 will enjoy another great gen above their rivals. If pristine performance is your thing get a PC, for quality exclusives and everything else PS5 is the way to go next gen console gaming.

Great performance but launch models have a big iss
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Overall the PS5 is great. Games run at a steady frame rate, load times are basically instantaneous and the controller is something you really have to feel for yourself to understand how immersive it makes the experience. However, there is an issue with most, if not all launch models including mine. If you have an external storage device hooked up to the console and a disc inserted the console says "unsupported disc". You then have to either disconnect the external storage device or simply open another game and close out for that disc to be read. It's probably the worst issue Sony could have given that the PS5 only has 600 something GB of storage after the OS is installed to begin with. If it's a firmware issue it can be patched but if this is a hardware issue then there are going to be a lot of recalled PS5 consoles. There are a lot of people trying to get ahold of these right now but with this issue it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait a few months until it's resolved. In all I'm giving it 5 stars because it really is an amazing console, I just hope they can can fix the external storage bug with an update.

Must have!
|Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I was lucky to get this console on launch day. I truly feel this console looks and feels next gen! The white color to me looks great, the remote is very comfortable. I would say it’s leaps over the PS4 controller. The haptic feedback is really cool on shooting games that have it like Call Of Duty! I own the Xbox Series X and honestly the games look a bit better on my PS5. Loads games fast and the menus are easy to navigate. Looking forward to all the new games we will all enjoy on the beautiful machine.

Big bone power house
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I know that there hasn't been many games out for the PS5 however the experience is worth it. The reason for this is due to the better performance of this machine. Compared to the PS4 Slim, I don't have to wait hours just to update a patch or download game as it downloads at 600ish MBPS over ethernet on a gigabit line. The console feels fast with no pauses, stutters and little wait time to get into a game. Any PS4 game that had weird stutters or graphic pop in no longer shows up on the PS5 due to its powerful performance. The PS5 controller feels great with its larger size, feedback with the rumble and feedback triggers. As a freebee that I'm happy about is that when buying a PS5 and having PS Plus; you get 19 great PS4 games for free (PS Plus collection) which adds more value into the purchase of a PS5. It's not all perfect though. There is some question when it comes to the controller as there are some people complaining about controller drift which I didn't get as of yet. My personal issue with the controller is battery life as it only lasts under 6 hours from a full charge. This worries me as when the controller gets older, the battery life will just get worse overtime. The other issue comes to it's size as it is almost the same height as a mid tower desktop. I couldn't fit it anywhere in my small apartment so I had to leave it on the floor. The last issue which is minor is you can't place custom backgrounds or use purchased backgrounds from PS4 into PS5. That is a bit lame as I use custom wallpapers to make the PS5 experience unique to myself. In conclusion I highly recommend getting this not just for the next gen games but just the better quality of life issues that plagued the PS4 consoles. If only there was available stock as this was a pain to try and buy >.< .

Well-made launch console from Sony
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The design of this console might be controversial, but there's no doubt that it feels well made and should hopefully remain reliable and viable for years to come into this generation. The DualSense controller is a nice upgrade from the PS4's DualShock 4 and feels heftier; the adaptive triggers are a great addition and the improved haptics put this above the Xbox controller IMO. Having a mute button (not just for mic input, but also as a way to mute all sound output when the button is held down) right on the controller is nice too. Speaking of sound, if you were using USB wireless headphones with your PS4, they'll probably work on your PS5 too. I hope to see more efforts from Sony in matching what MS is doing with services like GamePass. The PS5 does include some nice gestures, like a pack-in game that's actually really good, and a ton of excellent free games in the PS Plus Collection that you can enjoy, often at higher fidelity, on your PS5 while you wait for more next-gen titles to launch. The included HDMI cable is capable of the full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth but I wish it was a couple feet longer. With the console standing on the right side of my 65" Sony X900H TV, the HDMI cable is only just barely able to reach the ports on the TV's left side. I'm probably going to rearrange my setup so the console can sit on the left and not put undue stress on the cable or ports. Overall, I'm excited to see what the PS5 stands to offer as the generation advances.

Q: QuestionWhat makes them think they have the right to say you can get 120fps when it is impossible in HDMI? Only wire that can support true 120fps is a Display Port. And PS5 only has HDMI. Max frames you'll get is 60. Don't believe me? Look it up...
Asked by TheRaptor30.
- A:Answer LISTEN, he meant your TV not PS5. You can't edit or delete your questions on here which I think is not right, but let me state some facts... I own a PS5 and I have made 3 YouTube videos that proves the PS5 will not go over 60fps and in some cases just over 30fps if you don't have a TV that supports HDMI 2.1 Over 90% of TV's don't have this tech, so if you think for one second you're getting the best frames and picture you better go do some more research. I repeat: If you don't have a TV that supports 2.1 you can kiss your dreams goodbye if you think you'll get 120fps in 4K. Only a couple TV's out there support 2.1 and I bet anything most of you don't own them. Here's the deal... If you have a couple thousand dollars and some cost over five thousand, then you can purchase one. Otherwise stop trying to make fun of someone just because you are unhappy with yourself. Kind of bad knowing you own a PS5 and can't see what it can really do..... Name calling and thinking you're better than someone only proves you have no integrity. Now go back to playing your PS4 because a new TV and PS5 is something you can't afford..
