The next gen console we've all been awaiting...
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5It was quite difficult to pre-order the PS5, but I truly lucked out because even with all the restocks certain retailers have had... it is still unbelievably hard to place the order. I hope anyone that still wants one gets one soon because it really is unfair that the gamers aren't able to land one whilst scalpers have thousands. The PS5 has run beautifully and so intelligently from what I've experienced. The set up was of course easy and fast. The new UI is smooth and I definitely like it more than the old one on the PS4. The Dualsense Controller is AMAZING. It is probably the next best thing (only second to the console itself) with the way it works. It's not as slippery like the Dualshock and feels great in hand. Even after hours of gaming, I did not feel any fatigue in my hands. The battery life is probably similar to its predecessor. Overall, the console runs very smoothly and I have not experienced any sort of loudness with it. I do recommend when playing games, to choose performance over the resolution. You will absolutely get a higher FPS and I think it just runs a lot better that way. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to experience next gen even though we've just merely begun to play those games.

Fun next gen addition to sony products

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I was lucky enough to buy one randomly during the crazy pre-order (aka scalper wars/bot buyers tome). Nevertheless I was happy to receive my ps5. Overall the menu system on the ps5 is slightly different than the ps4, it will take some getting used to. However, it is better once you get the hang of it. You can also use the ps4 to play ps5 remotely which is cool. Unfortunately, because you need hdmi 2.1 to get 120hz 4k it is hard to achieve. However, 4k 60hz with raytracing is nice. The controller is pretty nifty however, I find it only fun in Astro's playroom so far. I turned off haptic feedback and the L2/R2 trigger pressure, It feels odd to play with it on. I can see it being fun in Astro's playroom and maybe a fishing game. One thing to note is if you want 120hz 4k you will need a monitor with hdmi 2.1 capable of 4k 120hz plus. The choices are limited currently and the 120hz will be variable not stable 120hz so this could cause it to stutter. I would wait until mid or late next year for 120+hz 2.1 hdmi monitors. You also have to go into settings and system and prioritize for performance instead of resolution, raytracing must be tured off within the game you intend to play at 120hz. You finally have to restart the game app. I have a nice monitor that is supposed to allow 4k 144hz however, that is achieved by connecting pc to monitor using two display ports to one video card. I researched my options. I tried to install a hdmi source to display port adapter but couldn't find any that support 4k 120hz. I did find 4k 60hz adapters. If you need an adapter make sure its not unidirectional. You want hdmi source (aka ps5) to display port (monitor). Most of the adapters online will be unidirectional and only work for transferring video from a display port source (computer/laptop) to hdmi monitor which you do not want. Hard drive is a little lacking in size but is pretty quick. I transferred Modern warfare and warzone, Ghost of tsushima, and cod cold war and now I'm close to 93 GB left. To be fair warzone is a huge download (about 267GB) cold war is almost 200GB of hd space. I have a few small games and Of couse the operating system itself takes up space. I believe as the ps5 matures it will improve and get more fun with time. I have to say my kids had a lot of fun playing Astro's playroom. However, it is only a single player game so they fight a lot. Definitely fun though.

The PlayStation 5: Sony's Greatest Achievement In
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The PS5 is a true next-generation console. It truly makes you feel like you're entering into a new phase of gaming. The PS5 controller, the DualSense is the greatest part of this machine yet- it critically immerses you in any game that supports its haptic feedback feature and reels you in heavily into the gameplay. Even when you thought you've had enough time playing games the new controller doesn't fail in making you want to the experience limitless fun even more so. The Playstation Collection is a library of free critically acclaimed games available on every PS5. Ranging from titles such as the PS exclusives Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted 4, to multi-plat wonders such as Final Fantasy XV and Fallout 4. Although it is a requirement that you must be subscribed to PS plus to access these solid games, you will not regret it once you begin your subscription. Its super fast SSD enables you to zip through your games with nearly-instant loading times. Grand Theft Auto 5, a game known for having excruciatingly slow loading times operates like a charm on the PS5. When you boot up GTA 5 on the PS5, you'll be waiting no longer than 30 seconds to jump into its prodigious open-world. This wonderful display also manifests in a bunch of other titles as well. The consoles exclusives are exceptional. On PS5 you get games like Spiderman Miles-Morales, Demons Souls, Sackboy's Big Adventure and more! Experiences you'll never be able to receive anywhere else. Astro's Playroom is a game that comes pre-installed with the console, a short but magnificent platformer that introduces you to Playstation's amazing, new controller. The console allows you to play these games at a smooth, consistent 60 frames per second at a crisp 4K resolution. Playstation's new console iteration supports up to 120 FPS and a whopping 8K! We've only seen a modicum of what the Playstation is capable of. Future titles that will take full advantage of the consoles hardware will unveil its true potential. I am having a wonderful time with the Playstation 5. Despite it's catastrophic launch, the PS5 is a paradigm-pushing console platform that gives its competitors a run for their money.

A Silent Soilder
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I am enjoying my Playstation 5 load times for my PS3 PS4 AND PS5 GAMES. The system is extremely Quiet it makes no noise no matter the work load that I give it. The quality of the Playstation 5 is awesome including the Controller and stand that comes with the Console. The Console has like this brick like texture design on the inside of the white pillars That feels good to the hand. You can also take the Pillars off and Customized your PS5 pillars by Painting them whatever color you want to. You can also add your name and designs on the pillars without causing any damage to the PS5 internally and Externally. So over all the Quality of the system is A 5star rating for me. The Console does not over heat and it plays smoothly the positioning of The PS5 is Customizable because it comes with a stand that allows you to sit it up vertical or Horizontal The Console can also sit up vertical without its stand. The PS5 To me is Vaule at the correct price because you not only get a 4k to 8k gaming experience you also get a Entertainment Center all in one package, At the same time The PS5 is completely backward Compatible with my PS4 DISC AND DIGITAL Games. So the vaule of the system i also give it 5 stars. The PS5 Still has alot of updates that is coming to its operating system/UI that will allow it to have the expandable storage option, and that will allow even more smoother connectivity with PS3 and PS4 games. I have Also given a Over all five star rating to how efficient it is to operate the PS5 system. The boot up time is like 3to 10secs max from the moment you press the power button on the console or controller you go straight to your log in screen and within 2seconds you are looking at your interface which is extremely easy to use. The interface Separates your game media from your entertainment media meaning when you only want to game you just scroll over to the gaming media side, and when you want to watch all your entertainment media like YouTube or Hulu and Netflix you just scroll over to the entertainment media option which is less then a second. Now things get even easier with the Ui of the Playstation interface when you use something called switcher which allows you to jump from game to game or from YouTube back to any game or media App the transition is seemless and so fast. If I had to say anything bad about the PS5 it would be its starting out storage capacity of only 667gb of storage and the fact that the stand comes off to easily when sat Horizontally other then that My Game system is a PYT.

Sony takes the crown again
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5I had the opportunity to order my PS5 through Best Buy during Black Friday week. And I must say a huge thank you to Best Buy for their two factor authorization system that allowed me as well as many others to secure their console without worrying about bots and scalpers. As far as the console itself goes, it is definitely worth its price and a lovely upgrade from the PlayStation 4. It’s sleek, has a cool design and is as quiet as a mouse during most operations. The controller is also a great upgrade, Sony certainly knew what they were doing. The dualsense feels great in the hands, and the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback feel so amazing in Cold War, the only PS5 game I have at the moment. The 4K looks stunning on the Samsung QLED I have and the refresh rate, even in 60fps at the moment looks fantastic. The only few cons I would give this console are small, but something to consider for future buyers. The console is massive. The largest console I have ever owned certainly, even outsizing the massive original Xbox One. It’s just slightly shorter than my PC tower. But if size doesn’t bother you then go for it. The disc drive also looks a bit out of place for the design. The digital edition was sold out already so I picked up a disc version. If the unsymmetrical look bothers you, then I’d opt for the digital edition. Also when downloading a disc and starting up the Ps5 with the disc in it, the disc drive gets really loud. But this is only during installation and start up. While playing disc games, it doesn’t get loud. Overall I give this console 5 stars an definitely recommend to any PlayStation fan.

PS5 is one incredible machine
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Wow. It's been about a month since a managed to score a PS5 with BestBuy's 3:30a MST drop on Sunday morning, 11/22. Was so amped, I could've pooped. Updating from a PS4 Pro, I was nervous it might not be worth the hassle going through the waiting, page refreshing, and disappointment from many store drops since launch. It ABSOLUTELY has been. This system is unreal. No longer are the days I can take a quick pee or get a drink from the kitchen while I have told wait for my game to load, as I'm in and playing in mere seconds. I've been enjoying Ghost and Cyberpunk. No issues with Ghost at all, but yes, I still see some issues with cyberpunk - not able to pick up some items and game crash about every 90 mins of play (still an awesome game and WILL NOT be returning.) But back to the PS5 - it's a mammoth machine, dwarfing my PS4 Pro, but looks incredible as a hardware piece. The new UI is something to behold - got a little scared for a minute when I couldn't easily find all my trophies (they're under "Profile" icon.) But the fact I don't need to leave my game to see what trophy I just got or a message from a buddy is just... incredible. I can't wait for everyone trying to get their hands on one - I see you guys in the YouTube chats with the "L's" for the day and I truly feel for you, but it'll happen!! Keep your head up and keep trying! I'll see you all on PS5 in a month or so and you can see exactly what I'm talking about! Good luck!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5What can I say that already hasn't been said about this beast of a console. Load times are fast, backwards compatible, better interface than the PS4, Dualsense controller is premium and feels next gen, this is just an all around great console. Yes it is hard to get, but if you keep trying like I did you'll eventually get one. Best Buy dropped this console on the 15th of December and I got it by Christmas Eve which was great with no problems. The 4K resolution and HDR look absolutely outstanding. Spider-Man remastered is native 4K @ 60 FPS and the HDR looks incredible. About 4K @ 120 hz. You're not getting native 4K @ 120 hz on this console so don't get you hopes up. VRR and G Sync are not 4K @ 120 hz. I really don't care about that because 4K @ 60 fps is all I need to enjoy this console. As an OLED owner, I feel like games in 4K HDR look more crisp and smooth on an OLED TV with better black levels and contrast. When you do buy this console you won't regret your purchase. Also, those of you who want Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. You'll not get it on this console. However, Sony will have an update in the future for those two. Highly recommend you buy a Playstation 5.

So far, so good!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5It's great! The system is REALLY fast.. like I'm already feeling spoiled by the lack of loading time. Anything that takes more than 5 seconds is making me impatient nowadays. lol The controller is pretty cool, but I think it gets raved about a bit excessively in the reviews I've come across. To me, the actual 'rumble' effect has decreased from past models. Now the trackpad and button sensitivity is elite! The actual console is really large. My first thought after hooking it up to my TV is that I need a new TV. It made my 40' screen look small. I admit a 40' screen isn't huge, but next to this behemoth of a system it just looks tiny. lol - I used the vertical stand, but you can also set it horizontally. You will still need the same stand, just set up from a different angle. Lastly, if you have a PS4, keep it connected to your TV until you complete the initial installation process for your PS5. They will give you the option to transfer your PS4 data over (they even let you choose what to transfer and what not to). So far it's been a pretty smooth transition with my PS5. I've only played a few games, They are still making adjustments and improvements through updates, and likely will continue to do so throughout the duration of this generation. Oh! and almost forgot! As a PS+ member, it also came with 20 classic PS4 games available for free download! Completely unexpected to me! I already owned a few and added the rest to my library. I haven't downloaded any yet, but it was a nice surprise bonus!

Q: QuestionWhat makes them think they have the right to say you can get 120fps when it is impossible in HDMI? Only wire that can support true 120fps is a Display Port. And PS5 only has HDMI. Max frames you'll get is 60. Don't believe me? Look it up...
Asked by TheRaptor30.
- A:Answer LISTEN, he meant your TV not PS5. You can't edit or delete your questions on here which I think is not right, but let me state some facts... I own a PS5 and I have made 3 YouTube videos that proves the PS5 will not go over 60fps and in some cases just over 30fps if you don't have a TV that supports HDMI 2.1 Over 90% of TV's don't have this tech, so if you think for one second you're getting the best frames and picture you better go do some more research. I repeat: If you don't have a TV that supports 2.1 you can kiss your dreams goodbye if you think you'll get 120fps in 4K. Only a couple TV's out there support 2.1 and I bet anything most of you don't own them. Here's the deal... If you have a couple thousand dollars and some cost over five thousand, then you can purchase one. Otherwise stop trying to make fun of someone just because you are unhappy with yourself. Kind of bad knowing you own a PS5 and can't see what it can really do..... Name calling and thinking you're better than someone only proves you have no integrity. Now go back to playing your PS4 because a new TV and PS5 is something you can't afford..
